Sundae Seating

Question: What's the coldest day of the week?
Answer: Sundae. 🍨

I saw this chair outside of an ice cream shoppe and I had to stop to take a picture.
Too bad they're closed on Wednesdays, or I'd have gone inside. 🍦💕

Hydrating with Electrolit while he Trains for the Big Day

My teen has try-outs for a very elite team coming up in October. Yesterday was the informational session and about 90 kids showed up (just as coach predicted would happen). Realistically, about ten of those kids are going to make the team. I surely have my fingers and toes crossed that my son is going to be one of them. He plays year-round, but he's really doubled down on training, and is in the gym or on the court most days trying to improve the skills he feels need the most work. On the weekends, he has me taking him to the outside courts. It's hot out there, so we make sure to bring along plenty of ice cold drinks. I always insist we have water, and he also likes to bring along flavored drinks. This time we brought Electrolit ZERO

Wordless Wednesday: Legacy Matters

This saying moves me.

What kind of legacy are we leaving behind?

This sign reminds me of so many things...

the environment first and foremost, but so many other things too.

Favorite Gift Idea from SportsCustomsLLC Etsy Shop

My teen swears the Evolution Game Ball from Wilson is the best one for indoor practice and game-time. We have one in the house, and when it came time to get the perfect parting gift for his basketball coach (he's aged out of the team), we found an Etsy shop that sells and PERSONALIZES the Evolution basketballs. Our coach deserves a nice gift because he's been an amazing. We've had him for a few years. He's good with the kids, extremely fair and invested in helping them develop their talent.

My favorite thing about Coach is that he makes each child feel valued and valuable. He went way above and beyond by staying after so many times to 1-V-1 my son after the group coaching sessions had ended. I've got more great videos from those impromptu sessions than I do the practices!

Coach is a natural for figuring out what each child needs on the basketball court and he meets them where they are... he doesn't try to push anything (for those who wouldn't have responded well to pushing) and he pushes just the right amount (for those who need it).

The Evolution basketballs come in different sizes so you can choose the one that best fits your needs. We always go with the 29.5" because my son is a teen now, in high school (meaning he's man-sized, lol). So, that's the size we chose for the gift as well.

Evolution feels a little softer than the average basketball, making it easier to grip. They are a little more expensive than the balls you pick up at a department store, but they last longer too, so it all evens out.

The thing I've seen with my son, is that when he takes this ball to the gym for indoor practice, or open court night, it is the ball everyone wants to use, so I think it's pretty universal that this is a great investment for your ballers. Having it personalized means there's less chance someone else is going to walk off with it too, thinking it's their own.

We had our ball personalized to honor Coach, but I liked the outcome so much, that I've already decided that at some point in the future (probably my son's birthday, or for the upcoming holidays), I will be ordering one of these with my son's name on it as well.

Honestly, I don't go to Etsy often, but now I have a new favorite shop to add to my very select list, and I know I'll be shopping there more than just this one time. Highly recommend!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Liberty Beans Coffee Makes Me Happy

This is how I started my weekend two weeks ago. This is how I assumed this past weekend was going to go as well. I'd snuggle up with my cup of Liberty Beans Coffee (one of my most favorite brands) and get in a little R&R before my day got busy. That's the great thing about weekends, you can take things a little slower in the morning, enjoy your coffee instead of gulping it down... relax a bit.

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Watching you Like a Hawk

I got a text from someone telling me this bird was in their driveway!!

This is the real photo, I just put it on a purple background.

That's crazy cool to get to see it so up close and personal.

Unfortunately, that also meant something was wrong with it.

They called the proper authorities about it, but someone with a leaf blower blew at it and it hobbled

away. No one found it after that... I hate when people are mean to animals.
