Bedner's has Become a Family Tradition

Bedner's has become something of a family tradition for us. It wasn't intentional, but it seems like we always end up finding our way there when October rolls around, and that's fine by me.

Holiday Gift Guide: Let's Decorate (including children's ornament making kit)

BEST prices and EXCELLENT quality. I have this bedroom set from Southshore Fine Linens and it is just so pretty and festive! I love it.

Hammacher Schlemmer has such a great variety of items to buy for anyone on your shopping list. Decorating the home for the holidays is easy with items like this gorgeous Thomas Kinkade "White Christmas" decorative snowman that lights up. Train runs in a circle around the snow village. This item is just precious.

Old World Christmas has a great selection of ornaments. I got the two above collegiate ornaments earlier in the year, and the Scottish one below is on its way.

Paul's Promise in Theaters October 21st PLUS Win a $10 Amazon Gift Code

Disclosure: Many thanks to Damascus Road Productions for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.

I don't usually watch movies that depict blatant and hurtful racism because they cut so quick to the bone. Treating people unfairly for any reason has never set well with me. It's painful to watch, especially when it's based on the color of ones' skin. So, when I started watching Paul's Promise and it took a turn in that direction, I was a little apprehensive. Thankfully, those involved with the movie did not let it get to an unbearable pulse, while still making sure it was a central part of the story because after all, this was set during the Civil Rights Movement. I think it turned out to be a really good movie. Even better, when I found out at the end, that it was based on a true story.

Why You Should Always Apply Sunscreen To Your Kids Before School

This is a collaborative post. Please welcome today's contributor.

There are lots of things that need to be done before your kids head off to school every morning. As any parent will know, the morning routine is an absolute rush. You’re running around the place getting so many things in order before almost dragging your children outside to get them there on time.

Amongst the many morning jobs on your plate, there’s one thing a lot of parents never consider. As you can tell by the title, we’re talking about applying sunscreen to your kids. This is big for us because we live in a state that's hot and my son is outside every day for PE. Even if you're not in a hot state though, why is this a thing you should be doing every morning?

DVD and Digital Release: Trick or Treat Scooby Doo!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. I received a free product or a discount code to use for the purchase of one. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Just in time for Halloween, 'Trick or Treat Scooby!'

When my two oldest were young boys, they would get so excited when Saturday morning would roll around because that was the only time cartoons, with rare exception, would be on the television. They'd hurry up and eat their breakfast, just so they could camp out in front of the TV and watch several animated shows in a row. Most of the cartoons they liked are long gone now, but there are a few that really stood the test of time, and Scooby Doo is one of them. In fact, I remember watching Scooby and the gang when I was a kid, and believe me, that was a long time ago.  Now, I'm happy to say, my granddaughters are watching Shaggy and the gang too!!

Halloween Thinking Putty Minis from Aaron's (plus a blast from the past)

Disclosure: We received a sample to help facilitate the review. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Okay, I found a blast from the past that made me smile for a couple of reasons. 1). I smiled because we have been using Aaron's putty since 2014, and we still love it as much as we did way back when. My son is much older now, but he still loves this stuff. and 2). because so many of you who commented way back then are still visitors/followers today, and for all of my readers, but especially those of you who are still coming to visit, I am so very grateful!!
