Top 5 Graduation Gift Ideas from Collage.com

Disclosure: I have received a sample product or a discount code to use towards the purchase of making one. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Is anyone else amazed at how quickly the school year went by? Seems like it was just yesterday that we were in the mall shopping for school clothes to START the new school year. And now, here we are... It's graduation time and a lot of us have graduation parties to attend. Besides the most favored gift of a new grad ($), what else can we give the upcoming graduates to help them remember the big day? I want the graduates I know to remember that I value their accomplishments and them, so I have decided that in addition to cash, I will be giving them something personalized to remember this special time in their lives, and I will create it at Collage.com.

One for You and One for Me! Snack and Go Reusable Bag Giveaway!

Disclosure: I received a sample or a discount code to use towards a purchase. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

I have four grandchildren now and the one thing they all have in common (besides being sweet) is that they love their snacks. To take them out on a little trip without a drink and snacks could ruin the whole excursion! The best way I've found to pack toddler snacks, to make sure we always have some on hand, is the Snack'n'Go bag by Roll 'eat.

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: London, England

International Travel, to me, is not just an experience, it is an investment.

This is not the best picture of Westminster Abbey you will find (not by a long shot) but this post is more about a mood than a photo. This was taken in London quite a few years ago but London is still a place that holds great memories for me, and definitely a destination to where I would love to return.

Going through some of my old travel photos today is giving me all the (vacation) feels.

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Take me to the River...

The Savannah River: It doesn't matter where we visit, if there's water, I'm going to want to go see it.

Part of the charm when we visited Savannah, Georgia, was the beautiful homes and trees. Then we discovered the water and it was a beautiful place all on its own. I wouldn't mind visiting this city again.

Grandma Slept Where?!??! And She'd Do it Again in a Heartbeat Too

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Look Who Came to Visit Grandma!

For the last two weekends in a row, we have been fortunate enough to have grandkids over. For the first weekend, my daughter's two girls were here, and they kind of occupy each other during the p.m. routine, so sleep time was fairly easy.

Last weekend, my second oldest son's sweet daughter was here (her first time to spend the night) and she wanted to have grandmama next to her, which of course was perfectly fine. I soon came to discover that she is an all-over-the-bed kind of sleeper. She went from the head of the bed, to the side, to the bottom, all before I could even finish the chapter of a book I was reading (and she was sound asleep).

My bed has a comfortable split king mattress, and is super roomy, but I knew that in no time flat she was going to end up on the floor. She's a little tiny one, and my bed is up very high, so I bargained with the teen. I told him he could take my room, and we'd put his mattress in the living room on the floor (to ensure if the sweet little one toppled off, she would be fine).

He readily agreed, and I had him sit next to her while I set up the makeshift campsite. I transferred the little one to the living room and she didn't even wake up. She was again, all over the place with her precious little rolling around self. My teen's mattress is significantly smaller than mine, so I chose to sleep on the floor next to the mattress. That way I could be a barrier if she fell off of the one side she kept gravitating to (LOL!!). It was perfectly fine though, I'd do it all again in an instant. She's a joy, and I loved having her here. All of my grandbabes are sweet little buttercups, and I enjoy every second I can get with any one (or all) of them.

When my teen woke up and came out to see the sleeping arrangement (namely me on the floor and the babe on the comfy mattress) he started cracking up. He made a big deal of stretching languorously and telling me how restful his sleep on the big comfy mattress was... to which I promptly threw my pillow at him and told him he was in charge of making breakfast. :)

All is well that ends well though. The little one was delighted to wake up on a mattress in the living room. To her it was a big adventure. And the teen didn't have to make breakfast afterall because his big brother (lil'-bit's daddy) called and wanted to meet for breakfast. We ended up at a cute diner with perfectly-sized silver dollar pancakes and fresh fruit on the menu for the baby grand. And a teen still telling (and laughing) about the mattress story.

Honestly though, I cannot wait for the next grandbabe adventure. Whoever said grand-littles are the best, surely knew what they were saying. :)

Do You Know Either of these Treats?

Disclosure: I received complimentary products or a discount code to use towards purchase of them. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Johnson's Popcorn has been around since 1940. The store is famous at the Ocean City, New Jersey boardwalk, where the red and white awning beckons visitors to come inside and smell the hot caramel being tossed over the giant kernels of popcorn. These kettles, where the hand mixing takes place, are worth a visit. Caramel is not the only variety that they serve. In fact, there are many others.
