When you have kids, you have a lot of responsibilities, commitments and chores to keep on top of. You’re going to find yourself providing for them financially, doing the school run to ensure they get a good education, dropping them to clubs and classes to promote their hobbies and interests and so much more. One routine task that many of us complete without really putting much thought into it, however, is preparing our kids’ lunch. Prepping the lunchbox has become so routine that many of us simple pack up the same ingredients in the same way, day in and day out, in a monotonous and machine-like way. Sure, you may not have too much time to do anything fancy, but here are a few ideas that can help you to create the perfect lunchbox for your kid, ensuring they get variety and enjoy their meals as much as possible!
How to Make Friends at a New Job
This is a collaborative post. Please welcome today's contributor.
I have to admit, I have been the worst at this... I am polite to everyone, but don't let anyone get close enough to become a friend. I respectfully decline offers to go to lunch, visit homes, go to baby showers, birthday parties, weddings, etc. It's awful, I know!! And the older I get, the more I think, maybe I should start reaching out, and let others do the same. I didn't use to be so intentionally self-isolated. My mom once told me it happened when I moved up north and lived in the country. Looking back, maybe she's right (and I certainly didn't see it until she said it). I became a stay-at-home mom, lived in the country, and didn't even try to make new friends with anyone for years. And I was content, but it did change me. Where's one place there are a lot of people around daily? Work.
Making friends at a new job (or even a job you've had for awhile but you haven't been open to it) can be tough. You're meeting or socializing with new people, most of whom you are competing against for promotions and raises. It's important to make a good impression early on, but it's also essential to take the time to get to know your co-workers. Here are a few tips on how to make friends at a new job and create a positive work environment.

Four Ways To Improve Non-Alcoholic Cocktail-Making Skills At Home
This is a collaborative post. Please welcome today's contributor.
Making pretty beverages in the home is a great way of entertaining guests and a more than appropriate way to round off the working week on a Friday evening. However, not everyone has the expert skills of a bartender or mixologist.
Nevertheless, it’s something that can easily be learned, and having the right utensils needed can make all the difference when it comes to the cocktail-making at hand. Here are four ways to improve cocktail-making skills at home (I'm talking about non-alcoholic, but of course this would work for those using it too). I do love to serve or receive a pretty drink and have ever since the Shirley Temple days of my youth (does anyone remember getting those in restaurants as a kid?).

6 Things to Put in a Care Package for Your College Student
Disclosure; The following items were provided to me at a discount, or for no charge. All opinions stated, however, are genuine and my own.
Okay, school has pretty much officially started back up for everyone now, including the kiddos who have made their way to college. Getting them packed up and ready to go is a big deal, but now that they're settled, wouldn't it be nice to send over a little care package? From serious, to useful, to fun, these are all things your college student might enjoy receiving for a surprise 'thinking of you' delivery.
1). Tee Turtle makes a reversible stuffie line that is just too cute. I have the traditional octopus on my desk at school and the students just love it. I saw this one though and thought it would be perfect to send in a care package to a college student. There's something about these that is just irresistible. My blue octopus has a happy face on one side, and a frown on the other. This pumpkin version has a menacing face on one side, and a sweet one on the other. It is an axolotl, which is something I have never heard of in my life until now. Look it up; if it's new to you, maybe you'll be amazed too.
