My Favorite Perfume for Fall

 

It is officially fall and for many, that means a fragrance change. While I am not one to specifically say, 'this is my tray of fragrances for fall,' and stay away from anything else, I do recognize that some scents work better in cooler weather. Pinrose's Campfire Rebel is one of those fragrances. This warm and woody scent opens with top notes of whiskey and a hint of raspberry. In the mid, you get burning oud wood and guiacwood. The dry down settles in with a luxe bourbon vanilla and some vetiver.

When you have kids, you have a lot of responsibilities, commitments and chores to keep on top of. I have to admit, I have been the worst at this... I am polite to everyone, but don't let anyone get close enough to become a friend. I respectfully decline offers to go to lunch, visit homes, go to baby showers, birthday parties, weddings, etc. It's awful, I know!! And the older I get, the more I think, maybe I should start reaching out, and let others do the same. I didn't use to be so intentionally self-isolated. My mom once told me it happened when I moved up north and lived in the country. Looking back, maybe she's right (and I certainly didn't see it until she said it). I became a stay-at-home mom, lived in the country, and didn't even try to make new friends with anyone for years. And I was content, but it did change me. Where's one place there are a lot of people around daily? Work.

Okay, school has pretty much officially started back up for everyone now, including the kiddos who have made their way to college. Getting them packed up and ready to go is a big deal, but now that they're settled, wouldn't it be nice to send over a little care package? I saw this one though and thought it would be perfect to send in a care package to a college student. There's something about these that is just irresistible. My blue octopus has a happy face on one side, and a frown on the other. This pumpkin version has a menacing face on one side, and a sweet one on the other. It is an axolotl, which is something I have never heard of in my life until now. Look it up; if it's new to you, maybe you'll be amazed too.
