Lifetime Guarantee on Mobile Edge Laptop Bag

What's cuter than heading to an open-air, half outside/half-inside restaurant with a wooden-plank bar for ice cold beverages, in my case, iced coffee with heavy cream and sugar (yep, heavy cream with sugar, and no regrets)! This particular place also happens to be located on the water, and is perfect for either coming or going, depending on the circumstances, when you're going to spend the day boating, or just hanging out by the water...both of which, are a great way to spend the day! If you are going to be on or around the water, having a large tote is always a must. This pink faux-suede laptop tote from MobileEdge has fast become my new favorite. This tote has everything you could possibly want in a travel, daily, or weekend bag. Everything!

Sleep Tight Essential Oils Gift Set

Disclosure: this is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.
Today I am going to get the friend of the year award (not literally, just noting what a great gift set this is, and you can read on to see why). What you see in the photo above is a sleep kit to save my BFF who lives in a house where they (whoever 'they' are, we don't know) are doing a huge construction project all day long, right behind her bedroom window (where until recently, there used to be woods)...and she works nights! What that means for her is that she's trying to go to la la land during the daytime when jackhammers, reverse beeps from big machines, and a lot of banging, bumping and driving noises are taking place. Yes, she could sleep in the living room, on the far side of the house away from the construction, by why should she? It's her room, her oasis, her comfort zone. So... she bought black out curtains to help with the noise, and they do but only a little, and I got her this relaxing Sleep Tight Gift Set from Plant Therapy.

Welch's Fruit Rolls and Snacks: Perfect for Summer!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

One thing you want to have during the summer months, whether you are home or traveling, is snacks the kids love and you feel comfortable giving them. Welch's is a trusted name brand that has been around for years, and they always use real fruit. I love them because they don't taste gummy at all, and they have a fresh, crisp fruit flavor. My son loves them because they're sweet (he has a sweet tooth sometimes) and easy to carry around. He especially loves the Fruit Rolls because they allow him to get a little bit silly (see below).

The Best Travel Tips for Your Caribbean Vacation

Disclosure: Today I am so happy to feature a guest post. I hope you'll make the author feel welcome.

After spending months planning and preparing for your Caribbean vacation, you finally feel that you have scored your dream vacation. However, the actual vacation can be, surprisingly, quite overwhelming if you are not using every perk and secret tips to your advantage.

Toy Story 4_Zak Designs Always has the Best Characters

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post that may contain affiliate links (if you make a purchase by clicking here I get a minimal amount credited towards a website gift card). All opinions stated however, are genuine and my own.

Not since Oscar the Grouch, have we fallen in love with a character who so much loves the trash. If you haven't seen Toy Story 4, you may not know what I mean. The fastest way to remedy that is to go see the movie!! My youngest and I went this weekend, and yes, he turned to me a couple of times during the show to laugh because he suspected I was crying. He knows I am a notorious crier at cartoons. So true. So weird perhaps? So me. :)

What is that Upside Down Building in Orlando? Wonderworks

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

The Wonderworks building looks strange, because as you can tell, it is upside down! I like the added touch of the express delivery box up there...makes me laugh. Smart thinking on the part of the designers. It's the little things sometimes, right?  It's also the BIG things, and this destination has the best of both.

Kid-Friendly Outdoor Adventures in the US

Disclosure: A big thank you for the guest post and a big welcome to the guest writer! Scroll down for bio.

School is out for the summer and that means a lot of downtime for the children. Ten plus weeks without the routine and structure of the academic calendar can lead to a lot of stress and mischievousness for both students and parents alike, who are anxious about finding enough activities to keep everyone occupied and entertained and satisfied

Or even worse: Families may just succumb to the technology trap in which summertime equals increased screen time for the kiddos.

Don’t get me wrong, I love technology as much as the next person (I mean, where would we be without backup cameras in our vehicles? Am I right?). And I praise the efficiency, freedom, and creativity that the proper use of technology has injected into our everyday lives.

That said, with an extended hiatus from traditional education in the classroom arrives, the default for our young people shouldn’t be to affix their faces in front of Fortnite and Facebook.

A large chunk of their two and a half months of “free time” should be spent outdoors, engaging in fun activities and making connections and memories with their friends and families.

To help you decide where to begin your road trip to outdoor adventure, we have compiled a list of some of the top outdoor destinations for you and your family to explore and enjoy together.

Poconos Mountains - Pennsylvania

Whether it’s hiking the mountains, fishing in the lakes, going whitewater rafting in the rivers, or biking through the myriad of trails, the Poconos Mountains in Pennsylvania offer a variety of exciting and breathtaking expeditions in which to participate.

Recommended Attraction: Skytop Lodge. Treetop obstacle courses complete with multiple ziplines. Enough said.

Gauley River - West Virginia

East of the Colorado River, there is no other whitewater rafting experience that can compare to the rafting trips on the Gauley River and New River in West Virginia. Not a fan of the water? No worries. Gauley River also offers opportunities for mountain biking, fishing, and hiking.

Recommended Attraction: Gauley River Mystery Tours. Get a guided tour of West Virginia’s best-kept secrets.

Adirondacks - New York

There is an endless number of things to do in the Adirondacks Mountains. Enjoy a boat tour, then swim in a lake, then tour one of many wineries and vineyards and breweries, follow that up with a Wild Walk across the 115-acre Wild Center, and end your trip with a night of camping on one of the many grandiose campgrounds.

Recommended Attraction: High Peak Mountain Guides. A rock-climbers paradise with options for experienced and novice climbers.

Acadia National Park - Maine

Explore over 150 miles of hiking trails or traverse one of 16 stone bridges when you visit this beautiful national park. The entertainment opportunities also include hunting, fishing, biking, and tidepooling.

Recommended Attraction: Sieur de Monts Spring. Nirvana for birdwatchers.

Family Nature Camp - Maine

Family Nature Camp will engage your entire family in a week of fun and adventure. Attendees of the Family Nature Camp get to stay on College of the Atlantic’s oceanfront campus in Bar Harbor, ME and enjoy a week of outdoors adventure specially curated by the experts from the College of the Atlantic.

Recommended Attraction: Cadillac Mountain. Get a breathtaking view of the sunset from this majestic mountaintop.

Big Sur - California

You can go camping on the beach or in the woods or take a stroll through indoor and outdoor art galleries or observe the natural beauty of the plants and wildlife like the wildflowers, the California sea otters, and the California condors.

Recommended Attraction: Ventana Wildlife Society. Take the two-hour viewing tour of the California condor. You will not regret it.

Out ‘n’ About Treehouse Treesort - Oregon

This homegrown and family-run business is 36 private acres of outdoor entertainment and adventures, not just a treehouse funhouse. There is a seemingly endless amount of ziplines as well as a giant Tarzan Swing for the bravest adventurers to partake. For those who are more faint of heart, you can participate in other fun activities such as horseback riding, swimming, volleyball, arts and crafts, and horseshoes.

Recommended Attraction: Disc Golf at Vertical Horizons Treehouse Paradise. I dare you and your children to not enjoy hours of frisbee-flinging fun.

Smoky Mountains - North Carolina and Tennessee

America’s most visited national park holds that distinction for good reason: there is a diversity of natural beauty and excitement to enjoy on your journey through the southern corner of the Appalachian Mountains. Snap pictures of black bears and wildflowers, take a kid-friendly hike on the Kephart Prong Trail, digest the refreshing mists and rushing sounds of the numerous waterfalls, or enjoy an afternoon of fishing in the creek.

Recommended Attraction: Dollywood. If your family MUST do one day at an amusement park, Dollywood is the best possible destination, with a mix of fun rides, dinner shows, and log cabins.

Glacier National Park - Montana

Glacier National Park is blessed with robust mountains, pristine lakes, lush forests, and 700 miles of hiking trails. In addition to being a national park, the Montana destination is an international peace park, a biosphere reserve, and a world heritage site.

Recommended Attraction: Native America Speaks. From traditional dancing to songs and poetry, seize the opportunity to get a firsthand education from local Native American leaders and musicians who will explain the connection between the Indigenous Peoples and the natural resources in Glacier National Park.

Chugach State Park – Alaska

Located in Anchorage, the Chugach Mountains serve as the ultimate playground for outdoor aficionados. The 9,000 square miles of landscape within Chugach State Park and Chugach National Forest are host to a plethora of open-air fun like riding ATVs, hunting, fishing, kayaking, berry picking, and sightseeing for wildlife.

Recommended Attraction: Portage Valley. Get gorgeous glimpses of Portage Glacier, the crown jewel in a treasure chest of alpine glaciers. Portage Valley also affords you access to the Trail of Blue Ice, a five-mile trail that connects many of the nearby glaciers and campgrounds.

Las Cruces - New Mexico

Whether you want to hike a mountain, play a round of golf, or race down a sand dune, Las Cruces, New Mexico has it all.

Recommended Attraction: Corralitos Ranch Trail Rides. Get a guided tour on horseback through historical landmarks, rolling hills, dusty canyons, and abandoned buildings.

Junior Ranger Program

Many of the aforementioned destinations are outright national parks or closely affiliated/partially attached to a national park. Every national park has a Junior Ranger Program, which is an exciting and interactive way for children to make memories and personal connections while also engaging in learning. While in pursuit of earning their badges, your kids will learn about park features and the local history firsthand from expert rangers. They’ll have numerous opportunities to observe nature, study plants and wildlife, and document their findings in workbooks. Once they complete the requisite activities, they will receive their badges. The Junior Ranger Program is a phenomenal way for parents to keep their children engaged, entertained, and educated in the great outdoors.

Each national park requires its own entrance fee, but if you have a child in the fourth grade, he or she can enter for free. The fourth-grade pass is valid from September 1 through August 31.

I understand the fascination of teens sharing on Instagram and Snapchat, and I also have participated in some gaming all-nighters, vacillating from a Nintendo console to a Sony one to a Microsoft console. So, I am not anti-technology or opposed to limited screen time.

However, with so many wonderful outdoor options for kids to explore, we should encourage them to limit their time sending emojis and making memes in favor of surveying the planet and making memories.

HuePets Encourage Healthy Eating with $25 Amazon Gift Card Giveaway.

This information is brought to you by HueTrition.

Every once in awhile I come across something that really says BINGO for me, when it comes to my oldest granddaughter and finding something to do with her that she'll really love. I don't get as much time with her as I would like, so the time I do get I want to be memorable. I'm pretty good at picking activities or things to do that are a home run with her (knock on wood that continues as she gets older). These HuePets might just do the trick...again. There are many things we need to teach kids as they grow. One of the things HueTrition wants to do is to help your kids learn about nutrition and cooking! They make it fun and easy with HuePets!

Solving the Problem of Missing Lunch Boxes at Camp! Viv & Lou

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

One challenge we have been facing for the last couple of years is my son's lunch boxes disappear from camp. I don't know if it's because they look similar or identical to so many other kids' or not, but I suspect that is the reason, so I've taken steps to remedy the problem via Viv & Lou. These lunch boxes are gorgeous, functional, roomy and most of all, they do not look like the everyday lunch bags and boxes that you pick up at the grocery and/or retail store.

Boudreaux has Launched Butt Paste with Natural Aloe

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Boudreaux's Butt Paste has always been a favorite of mine, and recently I learned there is a new version that has natural aloe in it!! Looking back, I remember when my mother-in-law introduced me to aloe many, many years ago. I had just been on her son's racing bike, and had burnt my leg on the muffler, riding on the back as a passenger. She took me out to her garden, sliced off a piece of aloe and opened it up. She told me to place it directly on my burn so it would ease the pain. It did work instantly, and I have been a firm believer of Aloe every since that day. I have also been a fan of the original Butt Paste for as long as I can remember, and while the original product is amazing in and of itself, I think that adding aloe is a great idea!

Collectible Captain Marvel Steel Book DVD Set Available Today at Best Buy!

Disclaimer: The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free.

Today Best Buy has the new Captain Marvel DVD set available in a Collectible SteelBook Edition, and I cannot wait to pick one up for our home collection. Have you seen it yet? My son wanted to watch it when it came out in theaters. Always a fan of the big comic book movies, I decided to say yes, and off we went. To be quite honest, I didn't know much about this character at all, and was slightly skeptical (gasp! I'm so embarrassed to admit that's true) to see it. I am happy to report that we enjoyed this movie every bit as much as we have enjoyed others from this series (that until now were more familiar to us). Consequently we now also better know who the lovely, smart and compassionate Carol Danvers (aka Captain Marvel) is, now everyone knows who she is, and of course, we love her!!

We decided to take a trip to Cape Canaveral, Florida over the weekend because we wanted to visit the John F. Kennedy Space Visitor's Complex. We have heard about it, of course, and seen pictures, but we wanted to see what it looked like in the flesh. We were not disappointed.

Audio Technica: Our Favorite Gaming Headset

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

There are some items you can buy in generic or cheap form and they work just fine. There are others where you want the best quality you can get, and gamine headsets, for so many reasons, fall into that latter category. In our house, Audio-Technica has proven their products to us, over and over again. I am seriously thinking of buying this exact same pair for my oldest son to use, since he is doing a lot of work online with his real estate work and personal screening business (no  way his youngest brother is going to give up these, he's fallen madly in love with them).

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Precidio has some absolutely wonderful items available that will make traveling so much easier this summer, for both adults and children. For me, it's the Kafe in the Box that is going to keep me going on the road. I won't have to stop for disposable coffee cups, plus its splash-proof and reusable. This is BPA / BPS and phthalate-free. It has a removable sliding tab top which makes for easy cleaning. What I love most about it is that it has an awesome inner liner that can be pulled out, plus it fits in the cup holder of my car. It comes in white, bronze, black and silver. The bronze is currently my favorite.

Three Signs of Mold in Your Home

Most homeowners know that a mold infestation should be dealt with immediately, as exposure can have health consequences. But mold in the home isn’t always obvious. It can begin to grow after even a minor water event such as a leak in the basement or attic. To recognize mold, consider these three criteria based on the experiences of people who have sought out mold remediation Brevard County

Musty Odors

Not all of the 100,000 known types of mold give off a scent, but many do when they are colonizing. It’s typically an earthy, mildew-like odor that can occur anywhere in the home. Sometimes the smell will be worse when you turn on the air conditioning or heating. This is a sign that mold could be growing in the HVAC system. However, an odor doesn’t necessarily mean there’s mold growing. Nor does a lack of one mean the area is free of mold.

VTech and LeapFrog Always Make for Good Baby Gift Ideas

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Here's the latest bundle of sweet joy that we have added to our family. Meet my daughter's daughter, which in and of itself has a special ring. She is super chill, and recently has become super smiley and she lights up like a lamp post when she sees or hears her mama. She is a joy, and I love her only the way a grandmama can love her precious new grandbaby (grandparents everywhere are shaking their heads in agreement). I don't see my grandchildren as much as I would like to, so when I visit, I like to bring along a little gift. Not every time, of course, but I'm not ashamed to admit, I do this a lot of the time. ;) Gotta spoil 'em while I can...and all that good stuff. I make sure to bring the 'good stuff' too. No cheap-o, never gonna use gifts from me; I have 4 kids of my own, and a pretty good handle now on what it is the little one's like.
