#Hasro Has All Ages Covered When it Comes to Toys! #PlayLikeHasbro

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

If you have children to shop for, then please take notice of these great Hasbro items. If you're shopping for the holidays already too (and I know some of us are), you will also want to take note. Habro offers interest-grabbing, long-lasting toys that everyone loves. Some have been around forever and a day, some are new to the line-up. Either way, they're all very fun. They cover all ages too.  I've got three on the agenda to discuss today!

Item #1
For the younger crowd, the Playskool Fold 'n Go Busy Elephant is oh so cute, and it encourages curiosity and helps baby with skill development. It's very versatile too. My nephew has a sweet baby girl who would love this one. Come to think of it, my brother-in-law has a sweet baby boy who would love it too. :)

The elephant is called 'busy' because its got lots of great things going on! Baby can look at him/herself in the mirror, or use the clicker, squeaker, rattle or crinkle ear portions of the toy. There's also a Put 'n Take Pocket and a cute Peekaboo Flower to put in it.

You can see that the activities are all made with bright colors too, and the elephant himself has a plush sweet, 3D face that will entice baby fingers to explore too.

The elephant is soft all over and lays out pretty flat, so you can use it to encourage tummy time. Of course baby can sit up and play with it too, or you can fold it up nice and compact for them, so they can take it wherever they want to go (in or out of the house).

You can see from the picture above how small the elephant folds up. That makes it great for taking along on car rides, or taking to someone else's house too, to help occupy baby while you visit.

See how nice it folds up? And it's got a convenient handle too, to make it even easier to carry. Instructions are included for fold-up, but once you get the hang of it, it's a cinch.

Robots in Disguise. Super Bumblebee Figure
Item #2
For those aged 6 and up, the Transformers Robots in Disguise Super Bumblebee Figure is a fun item to consider.

Turns into a car to make a fast get-away.
Besides the cool factor of turning from a robot into a car rather easily, this figure also talks!

I turned off the light so you can see how he lights up when he talks.

It requires one AA battery (demo battery included) so you can hear him talk. He says several phrases when you push the button on his chest. His face lights up when he is talking.

This is what he looks like in full robot form. He does kind of resemble a bumblebee with those colors, doesn't he? Only he looks a tad bit more menacing. ;)

This is what it looks like in car form. This is a nice sized toy too, so it will wrap pretty and present well if you're using it for a birthday, holiday, or some other type of gift. I know my son likes to get big gifts. If he's got a big one under the tree, that's the one he beelines for first on Christmas morning, without fail. :)

Item #3
And for those children aged 8+, the Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven Baking Star Edition (bonus pack) is a great idea! Haven't these little ovens been around forever??? I wanted one so so so badly when I was a kid, but I never did get one. That's okay, I've used one since, so I'm a happy camper now. ;)

There are good reasons this oven has been popular for as long as it has, and I'll list the first three that instantly come to mind.. A). They allow the child to bake, like mom and dad. What's not to love about that? B). They're safer than a real oven, by oh about a million times or so. and C). They make real food (goodies, at that!).

This particular pack comes with a variety of mixes. Using them too, is a breeze. Simply follow the instructions to mix...

Put your food in on one side, watch the timer, and be there when it pops out on the other side. Easy, breezy, simple and sweet, right? Plus it's got a fun new confetti design that we love.

This oven comes with a utensil too. I love how long the handle is. The next step in the process is to allow your treats to cool, remove them with that spatula, and and then e.a.t. That last step is the best step. :)

All three of these Hasbro toys are well-built, fun selections that the kids are going to love.

Do you have a favorite from these that are listed? I can't pick one, I like them all equally, in different ways and for different reasons.

Hasbro has been a family staple for years. With these kinds of selections being offered, it's easy to see why.

You can learn more about Hasbro by visiting their website. And of course, Hasbro items are sold in stores nationwide. #PlayLikeHasbro

#Nerf Has Added a New Twist to their Zombie Line with the Eraser ZR-100 Blaster!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Nerf Zombie Strike Biosquad Zombie Eraser ZR-100 Blaster

If you have a child, you probably know all about Nerf. If you have a boy, you probably know all about the Zombie Strike Nerf line. I have three boys, and believe me, all three of them think this line is the cat's meow (and two of those boys are grown!). If one of my (grown) boys is visiting the other, it's not at all uncommon for the one whose house it is to go running into their closet, grab a Nerf gun and proceed to ambush the unsuspecting brother as he walks in the door, up the walkway, or even as he gets out of his car. My boys are mature in some ways, definitely and for sure, but they have absolutely not outgrown their love of play or their love of Nerf. I like it. :)

Double Pump Action on the Dart Portion of the Gun
The Nerf Zombie Strike Biosquad Zombie Eraser ZR-100 Blaster is the latest weapon to join my youngest son's collection.

With this gun you can 'take down the zombies' (or your brothers) in one of two ways. The first way is the traditional way, with the foam darts. This gun shoots two of them before you have to reload. It is a pump shot gun.
The Zombie 'repellent' is really only silly string. ;)
The second way is with the canister of Zombie repellent fluid that is included with your purchase. This is really silly string. It goes about 8ft. if you're shooting it, so you're going to want to be at close range if you really want to douse your opponent. The string didn't take the paint off of our walls where it hit, nor did it leave any marks, but I would still recommend playing with the 'zombie repellent' outside, just in case (better safe than sorry, right?).

Zombies...Nerf... Hasbro... they're all names synonymous with fun for kids everywhere. And this gun is another quality selection they've added to their lineup.

You can learn more about the Nerf Zombie Strike BioSquad Zombie Eraser ZR-100 Blaster by visiting the Hasbro Toy Shop. And of course Nerf is sold in stores nationwide. #PlayLikeHasbro #nerf

Private Writing

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Have you ever wanted to put together a draft for ideas you had, but you had so much information you didn't know where to start? Private Writing is a company who can help you sort through the paperwork and come up with a feasible final result. I think this would be a great service for authors who take a lot of notes. Or even or authors who would like to have a cleaner first (or subsequent) draft.

A friend of mine has used this kind of service for a work conference presentation she had to give. And I know it would be great for helping people get their resume and/or cover letters in good working order too!

The writers are all PhD level, and the site offers continuous customer support (meaning you can reach someone any time, day or night). They guarantee 100% original writing.  I'm trying to think of what I could use this service for, and history came to mind. Life history. If I could gather all of my grandmother's notes that she gave to my mom here and there (and there are a lot of them), I could give them to Private Writing so they could put them in order and get a synopsis written up for the family that we all could enjoy! It's definitely worth consideration...and I am considering it.

This is also a great service to utilize when you need to put together a compelling argument for something, such as for grant writing or fundraising! Or if you have already put together a document it would be great to utilize for proofreading. It's always nice to have a second set of eyes. I can't count the times I thought I had things 'right' and a good proofreading a couple of days later proved me wrong. That's another thing, if you have to wait to proofread (I need to take a couple days off and away from my work to be able to go back and accurately proofread a big paper), this will eliminate that wait. Having someone else check your spelling, grammar, contextual use, etc., is definitely beneficial in more ways than one!

My nephew is in college and he has used this kind of surface to help him get his thesis in order. He then did the writing himself, rather than opting for the service to do it. It was a big help to him because the volumes of information he had was phenomenal. A lot of it was relevant and a lot of it was not. Having the help to sort through and get it whittled down to a readable amount was a great assist and time saver for him!

Of course these are just some of the ways to utilize this kind of service. There are so many other ways you could use the help of a team of professional writers. Private Writing has been in business sincee 2005. Take a look at the website and see if it is something you would like or could use. You can also follow them on Facebook and/or Twitter.

One Step Ahead Kids Trampoline Review and #Giveaway

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

This is how it comes in the box!
Kids like to be active and jump around. Parents don't always like them to be so active and jumping around while they're in the house. One Step Ahead has found a way to make both parent and child happy with the Kids Trampoline with Handle. Have them jumping in a safe, secure spot instead of jumping off the walls, and everyone has peace of mind.

Assembly on this one is super easy. You can see from the picture above that there are not a lot of pieces to put together. I've gotta say it, that makes me very happy. :)

It's super easy to put together.
There is an instruction sheet, and make sure you read it because it tells you which way your slanted feet have to face for the trampoline to be flat.

I love the bright colors on the material. These are great for a boy or girl!
The mat is already attached to the frame so assembly really takes about five minutes. The pretty, bright fabric is gender-neutral and it looks bright and cheery.

The legs are lettered for easy assembly.
The legs screw on over dependable foldouts and they are labeled with letters to make a simple job
even easier.

I like the soft, cushioned handle that makes for easy gripping and adds stability. It's ergonomically designed/slanted to make it just right for the little ones to hold on to while they're jumping.

The trampoline is lightweight and can easily be moved from room to room.
It holds up to 80 lbs.

Fully assembled, the trampoline is 35"L x 35"W x 31"H, and the jumping area measures 24" x 24". The weight limit is 80 lbs., so you can use it for very active older children, like my 8-year old, or you can use it for the more mild-natured jumper like my 2-yr. old granddaughter. Yes, I do have a child and grandchild aged not all that far apart, it's fun, actually. I like it. :)

The trampoline is a great way to let the kiddos burn up some energy. It's excellent for parents in that it's light enough to easily move from room to room, and you can do whatever you need to do while the kids are jumping safely and happily on their trampoline.

I know it's a wee bit early for some, but I have to note too that this would be a FUNTASTIC 'big gift' to have under the Christmas Tree. And it's a gift that will keep on giving. It's definitely going in the Holiday Gift Guide. Just a note for an FYI: One Step Ahead has a great credit option if you want to pay monthly payments, and you can learn about that here.

Learn more about this trampoline by visiting the website. You can also follow One Step Ahead on Facebook and/or Twitter.

Now I have great news too!! There is a giveaway! One lucky winner is going to get a Kids Trampoline with Handle to call their own.

US entrants only.

Halloween Photo Door Hanging with #giveaway

This Halloween Photo Door Hanging Displays Your Favorite Halloween Pics!
Suddenly, I love to decorate for the holidays. Everything is new and everything is special and I'm not taking one single thing for granted. I don't know if it's my medical surprise I went through, my new life status, or what, but I just feel so happy, vibrant and alive. I want to make the holidays special for the kids (something I've always done), but I want to make it happy and special now for me as well (something I have always put on the back burner). And you know what, it's more fun to be a participant instead of just a server.

One great way to add an instant and very fun Halloween vibe to the house is with this most excellent Halloween Photo Door Hanging from One Step Ahead.

At the bottom of the door hanging, it says in very appropriate Fall colors, "Happy Halloween."

There are slots for up to ten 4x6 photos, or you can leave the pictures out and it's still just as cool looking.

In this picture here, I've lifted the photo up so you can see how easy it is to slide the photos in and out. What a great keepsake this would be, and an instant way to bring the fun of the holiday to your home.

Made of rugged canvas, this 27"W x 62" H wall hanging is also a breeze to hang. You can see the wooden dowel at the top. That is held in place by the metal hooks you see in the picture below. The door hooks fit up to a 1 5/8" thick door.   That means hanging this up is super easy, and so is taking it down. It folds up nicely too, for storage.

The metal hoooks fit up to a 1 5/8" door.
Learn about this, many other great Halloween items and more by visiting the One Step Ahead website. You can also visit them on Facebook and/or Twitter.

Would you put pictures in yours, or leave it as is? I'm definitely putting pictures in mine! :)

I love our new door hanging, and I know if you pick one up for you, you're going to love yours too! One lucky reader gets one to call their own! US entrants only.

Superhero Cape with #Giveaway

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Ah, Halloween is going to be here before you know it!! Today I've got two great items to review and give away from One Step Ahead: A pink Superhero Cape and a red one.

If your kids are anything like ours, they like to dress up year round. These are great for that, but they'd also be great to incorporate into a Halloween costume!! These capes are made of quality crushed stretch velvet and they are fully lined. They have an easy on/off closure AND they're machine washable. Yes, I did say machine washable (sigh a happy sigh with me, that's a feature parents always love).

On the back of the cape is a bold gold lightning bolt, which adds to the super hero allure. It is 23" in length, and you can see from the pictures above that it is a great size for both younger children (my granddaughter, who is in the first picture is 2) or older children (my son in the next picture down is 8). It is recommended for ages 3 and up.

My son has no problem at all playing the super hero. In fact, he's been dressing up and loving it, literally for years. I like it too because it pushes his imagination and it's a great way to pass the time (who doesn't love pretend  play??). In my eyes dress-up is a great way to let a kid be a kid.

Superheroes have to get their sleep too!
As for my granddaughter, who was running around with a dish towel in her neckline and pretending to be a superhero, she was more than happy to trade in her towel for a cape. In fact, both of the kids ended up taking a nap, and the funny thing was, those capes weren't coming off, lol. A super hero may get tired, but evidently, they still have to keep on their cape. ;)

You can learn more about this item by visiting the website. Be sure to check out all of the other dress-up items they have available, as well as their cool Halloween section!! You can also follow them on Facebook and/or Twitter.

And there's a giveaway! Two of them, in fact. One lucky Mail4Rosey reader is going to get a Pink Super Hero Cape and one is going to get a Red Super Hero Cape. I'm keeping the giveaway short so you can use the prize for Halloween if you'd like. :)

Be sure to check the two forms below to ensure you are entering for the right color of cape. Enter one or enter both giveaways! Good luck to all.

US entrants only.

OtterBox Case #Giveaway - 2 Winners!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Otterbox is always a top seller for phone protection, and believe me, that is for very good reason. My oldest two boys are not really boys, they are young men and they're both active, busy, and hard on their phones. They're not hard on them intentionally, they're hard on them by default. That means they need a strong phone case to protect their investments because they both also chose to have expensive phones.

My oldest will only use an Otterbox and recently found himself in need of a new one. He received the Defender Series case for his Samsung Galaxy 5 Active and he couldn't have been happier.

This case has drop protection, dust protection, screen protection, and scratch protection too.

  • From the website:
  • The Multi-layer case provides protection against damage from drops, bumps and shock.
  • All Galaxy S5 Active features and functions work right through the case
  • Headphone and USB ports are open to allow for easy access

  • The included belt-clip holster fits most belts and straps, and it also clip locks in place for convenient media viewing. My son uses this when he's on the move outside of the house and it always holds his phone securely in place. The clip is definitely something you want to be able to take for granted.

  • The internal shell is made of impact deflecting polycarbonate
  • Outer synthetic rubber slip cover absorbs impact force
  • Built-in screen protector guards against scratches, scuffs and scrapes on the touch screen
Customer reviews on Otterbox Cases are always consistently high and with good reason. When you have a smartphone to protect you want smart protection, Otterbox gives you that and then some.

You can learn more about Otterbox by visiting their website. You can also follow them on Facebook and/or Twitter.

2 lucky winners get an Otterbox of their choice. Put your device in good hands, US entrants only.

Weekends are a Good Time to Read!

Weekends are a great for carving out time to read with your children. What better way to instill the love of reading in them, than to make a fun weekend ritual that includes together time with a book?

Reading is good for so many things, including increased vocabulary, encouraging together time, and fostering a lifelong love for a good book that will benefit your kiddos time and time again. I was that kid in school who loved to go to the library and drag home a stack of books as tall as I was at the time. Never mind the struggle to get them home, it was worth it and then some. Let me tell you, I would sit down and pile through those books too, one by one, cover to cover, until the reading was done. Then I would head to the library and start all over again!

I am a huge proponent of reading, and if it's tangible books they're reading, well to me, that's even better. :)

Today I'll be reviewing four books:

For the pre-school crowd,  I'll be reviewing I See Me! This is a company that incorporates your child's name into the story amidst bright, colorful pictures and a fun story.

For the elementary-aged children, there's the new Central Park Tales. This is recommended for ages 5+ but it's also a chapter book, so it's great for young readers to delve into too. My son is 8 and this was perfect for him.

The third and fourth books are the new release LEGO books. These definitely have an appeal for teens, and the architect book could absolutely be a coffee table book for the adults too. All four books were a pleasure to read.

I See Me! Most Excellent Personalized Books for Children!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

I See Me! is a company I have appreciated and enjoyed for a few years now. They create these great personalized items for kids, including big, beautiful and very colorful fun books for children. The books have an extra touch of special in that they incorporate your child's name all throughout the book.

Each page has something special on it that relates to your child, including the pages that aren't a part of the actual story.

In this particular book, (My Very Own Trucks Personalized Book), you can see the child's name being spelled out letter by letter. It's a fun way to reiterate spelling to your child, and of course he/she will love it because it's their name.

Some of the pages are simple, and to the point, like the one you see above.

Others are full of colors and great pictures for the little ones to enjoy.

The storyline is cute, and you will enjoy reading this one over and over again to your little one. It is very likely it will become a fast household favorite.

We loved this new book they've added to their lineup. It is a great gift idea too. This one is going to my nephew for Christmas.

Take note of the picture above. At the end of this particular story you will find an educational encyclopedia they've added to the back of the book. Keeping in line with the story, this area tells your little ones about 62 different types of vehicles. I thought it was a really nice touch, and a great way to end the reading.

Here is a more formal description of the book, taken from the I See Me! website. Be sure to check out this book and all of their other amazing personalized products too. You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Your child will love seeing his or her name being spelled out letter-by-letter by the trucks and things-that-go in this uniquely personalized storybook! The Ambulance brings the A, the Crane brings the C, the Skid Steer Loader brings the S and so on. As the story progresses, the vehicles construct your child’s name on scaffolding, and at the end they celebrate by tooting their horns and shining their lights on the wonderful name that they have built.

Your child will also learn fun facts about 62 different vehicles in the educational encyclopedia included in the book. Filled with colorful, delightful illustrations, My Very Own Trucks is a unique keepsake hardcover book that will be cherished for a lifetime. When ordering, customers have the option to upload a photo of their child to appear on the dedication page of the book. Children love seeing their names and photos in print!
