Visiting New York City? Take the Time to go see STOMP!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.
Here is the last of the 'he said/she said' reviews from my son and his girlfriend who just got back home from a European holiday that they ended with a stay-over in New York City. There were a few thousand things they wanted to do while they were in the Big Apple, though time would only permit a few, all of which turned out to be favorites; strolling Central Park, eating NYC's pizza (it's so good!) and seeing STOMP! the live show where artists invigorate and inspire by creating music out of every day things.

MyCharge Unplugged Wireless Charger Giveaway

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Most of us have been in the situation where we needed to charge our phone and there was no outlet around. For me it was many feet up in the air on a sky ride at an amusement park, viewing some of the most gorgeous floral displays I had ever seen. I knew I had taken a lot of pictures that day, so it wasn't surprising to me that my phone battery died, I just wish it would have waited a few minutes more. ;) With the MyCharge Qi-Enabled Wireless Charger, things would have been different, and I would have had some lovely pictures for my scrapbook.

Congratulations to Samantha whose name was randomly selected by Rafflecopter as the winner of the Garden Lites free product coupon.

Improve Your Photo Game with the NEW Best Buy Photography Workshops! First One: July 28, 2018!

As a blogger, as a mom and as someone who gets a lot of satisfaction out of taking a picture that turns out great, I am very excited to announce that Best Buy is offering both paid Photography Work Shop Tours and Free In-Store Photography Workshops. The new Best Buy photography workshop tours will take place in Seattle, San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Tampa, New York City, and Minneapolis on July 28, 2018. There will also be tours October 20th, 2018 and January 19, 2019!

$100 Off the HP Envy at Best Buy Now through July 28th!

Some of you might remember that I spilled an ice cold refreshing glass of cranberry juice all over my expensive and wonderful laptop. When that happened, I was disgusted with myself (I always tell the kids not to drink next to my computer, and then I did and ruined it) and in a bit of a panic. I had a lot of deadlines due for school, work and the blog and definitely needed a laptop, and quick. I went out and bought a very inexpensive one thinking, 'I'm sure it will be fine. A computer is a computer." I was so wrong. That laptop, which I am on right now, freezes if you have more than one tab open (and who doesn't open more than one tab at a time?), has a very hard time starting back up if you shut the lid while it's on, and it has other various glitches and mishaps that annoy me on a regular basis. I thought I would get used to the downgrade with time. I never did. Now it's time to upgrade, and I couldn't be more excited to say I am in the market for an HP Envy x360 Laptop, sold at Best Buy.

One Last Summer Hurrah? Daytona Lagoon is Amazing!!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

If it had been just a water park, it would have been fine; great in fact. BUT it was so much more!! Daytona Lagoon has pulled out all of the stops and in addition to the awesome water park complete with crazy slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, an area for tots and more, they also have things like inside obstacle climbing (with zip lining), an arcade to make even the big kids happy, go-karts, rock climbing, lazer tag and mini-golf. It's truly a great way to spend the day, and a most excellent way to have one last hurrah before school begins again.

How are You Celebrating Shark Week?

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Best Stuffie Ever!
Did you know it's Shark Week? I've seen it all over the Internet, and living in a warm state that has its fair share of sharks, I figured we ought to celebrate. How are we celebrating? Not be swimming with the sharks, oh no (not my thing, let me tell you!). Instead we are celebrating in several ways, one is by being with cute, cuddly sharks (with felt teeth that aren't a bit menacing, hurrah chomp!) from Wild Republic. This is my first time seeing Wild Republic stuffed animals, and I am SOLD!! These are gorgeous and I love them. I mean my son loves them. ;) :)

ERA Organics can be used by men or women, and if you buy several of the products and put them in a really cute basket with a high quality sponge, loofah or some other type of useful and related item, it makes for a really nice gift.

Zulily Big Thrill – Win a $2,000 cabi Wardrobe & So Many Other Deals and Prizes!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated however, are my Zulily-loving own.

Zulily Big Thrill is going on right now.
The prizes are plentiful & the savings are HUGE!

Did you know that 79% of Americans would rather find an amazing deal on something they want instead of kissing their celebrity crush?! Count me in on that statistic, I have zero desire to lay one on a stranger, celebrity or not (well, except for Channing Tatum, it’s likely I’d make an exception for him). 😉 I do, however, LOVE to find a great deal, which makes Zulily an easy choice for shopping because everything they sell is a good deal! Some of my most favorite items have come from them, and when we start back-to-school shopping tomorrow, that is the first website I will visit!

Eliminate Stale Air and Odors even while you Vacation: Febreze Tower Air Purifier

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Changes since Honey moved in: Sheets on the couch (so it isn't used for a scratching post),
a house sitter and a Febreze Tower Air Purifier running full-time during our vacation.
See how the couch is covered with sheets these days? That's because this little honey thinks the material is a great big scratching post!! Never mind that she has scratching posts of her own. 😻
We have had her less than a year (I'm not sure of the date, I need to check our receipts and get it on the calendar so we can celebrate her anniversary!), and we love her so. It's like she's always been a part of the family. There are a few adjustments we've had to make though, like sheets on the couch, hair balls (ew! my first introduction to them, our other older cat we took in never coughed those up!), and her litter!! She buries, but oh my goodness does she ever go! We've tried to gently change what she's eating, altering amounts (yeah, that's not happening, the only time she meows is when she wants food, and boy, does she meow), and even mixing up the times she is fed. No change. Nada. I guess she's just a big pooper, lol. Sorry there was no delicate way to say it. So when we went on vacation, I was a little worried. Yes, we had a house sitter we trust, but you never know how that's going to turn out when it comes to scooping litter. Would the house sitter scoop twice a day? Daily? Every other day (gasp?!). I was worried what the house might smell like upon our return. Turns out, I didn't need to worry.

An Inside Look at The Roman Guy Colosseum Ground Floor Tour

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated however, are genuine and belong to the authors. Post written by my 2nd oldest son and his girlfriend.

My son and his girlfriend have graciously offered to do another he-said/she-said write-up for me, regarding their recent trip to Europe, which included a few days in Rome, Italy. They used The Roman Guy for (2) of their tours including this Colosseum Tour (which included the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill), and they really enjoyed and appreciated them both! The Roman Guy offers tours for all of your favorite travel destinations in Italy, and I saw on their website that they also offer tours in Paris. Today's reviewers also wrote a guest post previously about their how they beat the lines (if you have visited there, you know that's a big deal!) using The Roman Guy Privileged Entrance Tour when they visited Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel (you can read about that here). Thank you Josh and Kiera, for contributing to my site. I love it when you visit (on the blog and in person). :)

Baby It's HOT Outside: Cool Down with Cascade Ice Drink Recipes (Kid Friendly!)

I haven't put up a recipe post in a good long while, and what better way to make up for it than to share ice cold refreshment recipes...because baby, it's HOT outside. We're melting over here, but I have NO COMPLAINTS! I love summer and everything that comes with it. It's way better than ice and snow, and with Cascade Ice drinks in the house (my son's favorite!!), it's easy to cool down anyway! All 3 recipes come to you courtesy of Cascade Ice. You can modify as you see fit or drink up, as is!

An Inflatable Tumble Track Takes Practice to a Whole New Level

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

This air track tumbling mat is just what the doctor ordered in our family with four little ones making their way out of preschool and into kindergarten (well actually one is in Kindergarten and one will be next year). These kiddos are delightfully rambunctious and love to tumble, toss and turn at will...with the oldest officially being in gymnastics, and two of the three girls also being in dance class.

Summer Travel Made Easy with Bagail Bags!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

When we take a road trip, we always take along hygiene items, just in case we need them (better safe than sorry!), and on this trip it turned out we actually did! We stopped at a security-patrolled rest stop to snooze a little in between stops (I just wanted to catnap and drive through where we were instead of getting a hotel), and when we woke up we wanted to brush our teeth and wash our faces. Hurrah we had our backpack from Bagail packed and in the car for the 'just in case.'

Jet Express Takes You to Kelleys Island, Cedar Point or Put-in-Bay (from Sandusky, Ohio!) #LakeErieLove

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. I was offered an item at a comped or discounted price in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are genuine and my Jet-Express-loving own.

These are the signs we saw all over Sandusky, Ohio. Intriguing, because I didn't remember ever seeing them before; albeit the last time I was in the city, I didn't go around town (it was a family matter visit, no recreation involved). This time though, we were looking for things to do that were fun because we were on summer vacation, woohoo!! This was our destination for our stop-where-we we-want-along-the-way road trip, and we were so happy when we arrived. I went straight to my mom's, visited for awhile, slept for a bit, and woke up raring to go! Of course, grandma and little man were already up, had eaten and were goofing around. They both commented on my snoozing in so long (I'm usually the earliest riser in this whole family). :) It was going to be a good vacation!

My mom brought me a cup of coffee (ahhh, it's good to be 'home') and I remembered the signs. We talked about what to do for the day, and I pulled up the Lake Erie Shores & Islands website. I'll link it here so you can take a look if you are in the area too (or will be in the near future) because that website turned out to be an online Gold Mine! The team that put it together (and as much info. is on there, it had to be a team?) was thorough. There were awesome and plentiful options galore!

5 Winners! Paul, Apostle of Christ BluRay + DVD + Digitial #Giveaway

Disclosure: I received a complimentary movie. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

It's not often there are three Christian movies on at the theater, at the same time, but that was the case when Paul, Apostle of Christ was playing. We went to see one of the three, definitely hoping to see this one, but our timing wasn't right that particular day. The movie had already started playing and was well into the plot by the time we arrived. I didn't want to miss the beginning. We happened to be in the area again 2 days later and went by the theater window to see what the movie play times were. It was already off of the big screen. Bummer.

Enter to #Win a Game of Choice from Goliath Games or Pressman Toy

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my game-loving own.

Summer is all about extra time to relax, play and unwind from the busy school year. One way we do that is with Goliath and Pressman Games. We have (5) new games for the summer, and it was hard to decide which one to play first. Eeny-meeny-miney-mo landed us on Rummikub & it's fast become one of our family favorites.

My Son is an ICMAC 2018 Championship Kung Fu Gold Medal Winner!! Woot!

Photo Credit: Joe Keit Kung Fu
My oldest son is on the far right. I found this picture online while I was searching for pictures of him at his fight. He's been involved with Kung Fu on and off for many years, and was diligent about it when he was a kid. He used to be in the Lion Dance parades, and even made the newspaper a time or two (yep, saved those clippings). Now as an adult he goes in and helps train at the same place he was trained growing up (as seen in the photo above). How many ways do I love that? I can't even count them.

This Candy is SO GOOD! Lovely Candy Co. Assortment #giveaway

Disclosure: I received samples to try and blog about if I wished (which I did). I was also offered the chance to provide a giveaway (sponsor mails prize). Thank you to Lovely Candy for both. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

What in the world is this that tastes so Lovely? Sorry, I just couldn't resist the easy pun. Once you taste these sweet treats though, you'll know how they got their name! I am not kidding when I say this is one of the best lines of candy I have ever tried. This is not a sponsored post, and I rarely ever do affiliate links (only if a campaign requires it and if so, I notify the reader immediately). I am just telling you about  my experience with the brand because I honestly love it! It's way better than the traditional candy you find in grocery/departments stores (way better) and it's made more thoughtfully too (see this story behind the company here).

The First Official Stop on our Summer Road Trip: Savannah, Georgia!

We parked in front of this gorgeous building when we first arrived in Savannah.
We put money in the meter and got out and walked around.
Little did we know, we wouldn't leave the city until very late that night. It was too beautiful to 'just stop-and-go.'

There are two types of road trips. The first is the one you take with one destination in mind, which usually entails trying to get from point (a) to point (b) in the shortest amount of time. The second type, is where you stop along the way, whether it is to pre-determined places or destinations that tickle your fancy along the way. We opted for the tickle-your-fancy choice, and what a trip it's been! Part of the joy is being unplugged. No phone (unless using the GPS) and all that time in the car together is why the word amazing was created. There's just something cool about taking a summer road trip. Our first on-a-whim stop, Savannah, Georgia.

Woodcarving Tips for Beginners

From a cute little bear carving for the kid's room to something more functional for the kitchen, wood carving is a popular pastime. It can almost be therapeutic to watch something emerge from a block of wood or a stick. You can take it up as a hobby or become good enough to make a nice little crafting business with practice.

GREAT SAVINGS! 25% Off Label Daddy Summer Camp Labels!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my LabelDaddy-lovown.

Label Daddy has this great Daycamp Pack that has labels in multi-sizes for half the price of their bigger package, and I couldn't be more delighted!! My son is responsible in so many areas, but one he is refining (very slowly) is keeping track of things he takes to camp. This is a big deal because after a very short amount of time, his camp donates lost and found items to charity. Yeeikes!! I mean, not 'yeeikes' for the charity thing (hurrah for donating), but yeeikes that that's money down the drain for us, if he's got something in there that we missed. And so... we've turned to these great Label Daddy labels to save the day! While they have a TON Of choices for label and design, Mr. Basketball over here was set on Golden State Warriors logos. I don't mind. His favorite player is Stephen Curry, and I think he's a great role model (let's throw in another hurrah! for good role models) and so, that's the logo we selected. You can choose from different designs/colors, if you're not stuck on basketball. ;)

War of the Wigs: Lace Front Wigs vs Full Lace Wigs

One of the things that leave people confused when buying wigs for the first time is whether to go full lace or lace front. What adds to the confusion is that these individuals wigs types have different variants with varied closure mechanisms and styles. In this post, aim to clear the basics. We will inform you about both of these wig types and their advantages. In the end, you should be able to make a better purchase decision based on parameters such as style preference and comfort.
