Limited Edition TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow Milk!!

Disclosure:  Mail4Rosey was compensated for this post.  All opinions stated however, are genuine and my own.

Everyone knows that this time of year, there are a lot of places that are cold.  My family and I undoubtedly live in one of those places. With the windchill factor dipping below thirty (degrees F) on multiple occasions already this year, school being out for bad weather several times since Christmas, and the cold being so challenging at times that there were news warnings to stay inside at all costs...our family knows cold!!

TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow Milk

Now that it's warmed up a bit (right now it's a balmy 16 degrees!), we've been able to get out and play, but let me tell you, it's still c.o.l.d.!  That means that it doesn't take long at all for the kids to come in, and want something to drink that's going to help warm them back up.  TruMoo, a long time favorite brand of chocolate milk, now has a delicious Chocolate Marshmallow Milk that just hits the spot!!

TruMoo Chocolate Marshallow Milk
Nice and warm in the tummy, and a real hit with the kids!

Made with no artificial growth hormones and no high fructose corny syrup, TruMoo is both nutritious and delicious!  With the new Chocolate Marshmallow Milk, we warmed it up and put it in child-sized mugs. Then we topped it with delicious whipped cream, and sprinkled the top with cinnamon.  The outcome? Warm and Deeeelicous!!!

If you see the new TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow Milk in the stores, be sure to take some home and give it a try. As you can see, it's a big hit in our house.

Bend at the Hips, People!

Did you ever notice when you're injured that everything you need to go about everyday life is in the exact position you need to NOT get into?  Eggs for breakfast, bottom shelf of the 'fridge. Washing machine? Down the flight of stairs? Dish detergent when you run out doing dinner dishes? Under the sink. Lunch boxes to pack for school? On the bottom shelf in the kitchen.  I could go on, but you get the idea.

That being said, let me just say I was proud. I was in that driveway on Saturday afternoon, shoveling to beat the band. I felt like a snow plow, or even better, the shoveling queen.  I was bending over at the waist, lifting tons of snow, and twisting to throw it out of the driveway.  That big snow bank piling up was proof of my awesome effort, until it happened.  You know, the 'ohhhhhhhhhhhh noooooooooooooooo, now I've gone and done it,' moment, where you know you've pulled your back.  But I was only half way done w/the driveway, and the rest had to be done.  So I finished.  Much slower, and a lot more carefully...but I finished.

And there are things to do in the house. The kids will help, willingly, but this weekend there was only one in the house, and he's 6. ;)  He did help, and cheerfully so, but there's only so much you can do when you're in Kindergarten.

Today, Monday, I'm really feeling it.  I felt like a penguin hobbling out of bed this morning, and a crow walking around.  Chest pushed out in one direction, rear end in the other, trying to straighten that back and walk tall.  Just a ridiculous sight. Go ahead and laugh or cringe at the visual, I've done both.

And so I leave you with some very precious Monday morning advice:  If you're shoveling snow this season (or any season), bend at the hips, people, and don't lift, twist, and throw.  Believe you me, your back will thank you.

Thankfully, muscle strains are temporary, and this too, shall pass (quickly, I hope). :)

To Lounge or Not to Lounge...that is the question

We need one more seat in our library to make it complete.  It's something that's been missing since we moved in...an "I'll get to it," thing that is still looming 6yrs. later.

Source

This morning I had the news running on TV (seeing if school was in session, which it is, woohoo!) and I saw a chaise lounge sofa.  I've seen them before and they've mildly piqued my interest, but nothing more.  Today, I'm seriously considering one for purchase.  It looks like a piece of furniture you could really kick back in to read a book.  OR, it looks like it could be a complete waste of money because it's not at all conducive to sitting, or comfy for reading.

So...I'm torn.

Has anyone sat in one?  Lounged in one?  Are they dreamy? Or a waste of money?

Just looking for opinions.  Many thanks, and HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Baby, It's Cold Outside

I love that song.

But really, it's cold outside. :)  Hope everyone in the path of the storm got through okay. Looks like the worst of it's gone through here. The wind's not bad at all, so the power's still on, which is what I was most concerned about.  When it's cold-cold you don't want to lose power.

It's the first teen on the moon?

Nope, it's just a snow pile in the city from the snow plows :)

Big kudos to those who go out and work in this kind of weather...my hubby, policemen, retail workers, etc. It takes a good work ethic to get out there and go when it's miserable cold like this outside.  Or maybe I just have a strict aversion to it that not everyone does. ;)  Either way...big high five to those trudging forward today, and other days like this, to keep things running smoothly.

Once the temperatures warm up a bit, lot, we'll be getting the sleds out.  THIS snow is going to be fun for sledding (and snowman building).  The silver lining in the storm, and I can't wait! :)
