Who Wants to Win a Polaroid Instant Camera?!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

I wrote the post below quite awhile ago now, but this camera is still my favorite digital and instant camera combo!! Today, I learned that the camera now has a lower price on Amazon (now $149!!). To help celebrate the new Amazon price change, and help get the word out, Polaroid is offering one of these awesome cameras to a lucky winner. This is a WONDERFUL GIFT IDEA for any time of the year! It could also be a great way to treat yourself. Get your full-sized pictures instantly to keep or share with a friend!! So many uses, so many smiles. Winner chooses color!

Instant cameras have made a huge comeback. I see them at school events, and two of my grown kids have them too. I love them, but the size of the pictures had got smaller for awhile...until now!! Back to the generous size that's similar to days of old, this brand new Polaroid Pop offers up 3.5 x 4.25" prints instantly, or you can use the digital option with the SD card to save and print later. In addition to that, it's sleek looking and I can't get enough of it. I just love to look at it! The features make it fun to play with, and the touchscreen makes it very easy to learn and maneuver. In the photo above, the print is just finishing up...completing it's roll out of the camera. You can watch the picture forming, as it moves towards the top, which is a new feature I've never seen before. Both me and cutie patootie up there liked that one.

Learning Potential Galore with Giveaway

Disclosure: This post is sponsored. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

This time of year, most students have gone back to school or will be going in the next couple of weeks at the latest. Switching from the relaxed state of summer to the regimented state of school can be challenging, but if you transition with learning toys it can be easier. Also, I wanted to mention there is a giveaway with this post. It's fun when you get to pick your prize, don't you think? And one lucky winner is going to get to choose one of the above learning 'toys' to call their own. Let's talk about what they are, and then you can decide.

For preschoolers, there is the Hot Dots Jr. with Pete the Cat. Pete was one of my son's favorites when he was a little guy, and we still the books, one of the CDs and the stuffed animal (hey, we were big Pete fans). This little learning kits contains over 200 interactive lessons to help kids learn, and it comes in a convenient case with a carrying handle, so little ones can take it on the go. It is recommended for ages 3-5. This is from Educational Insights, and they always have high quality, amazing items for kids.

Educational Insights + Highlights’ Hot Dots Jr.
Winner of the Parents' Choice Approved Award, National Parenting Center Seal of Approval, and NAPPA Silver Award, Hot Dots Jr., featuring Pete the Cat, from Highlights and Educational Insights helps make learning a little groovier with new interactive learning sets! Affordable Necessities

So happy to welcome a guest writer today! Please help them feel welcome.

It’s a frustrating truth: Companies will markup items that are necessities, and even more for items that are considered luxuries. Instead of paying full retail price for the items that you need, look online for discount websites and other deals like coupon codes. It might surprise you how much money you can save in the long run.

Back to School is Easier with this Office Supply Set Giveaway

Disclosure: this is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

So, a lot of us are pretty good at keeping up with what we need to have in the office, but what about those supplies we would like to have, but don't really remember to get once we are in the store? Or, what about items that would be useful, but we don't even think to get for ourselves, or know they are in existence?  I have a few of those to discuss today and one lucky winner will also get the stand-alone Note Tower Pro and SlitIt (the tools on the left and far, bottom-right in the photo above). These are perfect if you work from home and the kids are returning to school so you can get busy again, are in a classroom, or even if you work in a traditional office setting all-year-long.

Blog Theme Challenges

People are telling me they can't see my posts on mobile with the update I did to the blog awhile back (evidently the social tabs on the side overlap the content!!), so I'm playing with it until I can find something I can live with... I like the pictures big (the reason I went with an update), but I want the tabs back on top that are now on the bottom. I don't have time to play with it (yet!) but if you're noticing changes, you'll probably notice more until I find something that fits. Thank you for your patience with my indecision. ;)

Have a wonderful day!

Congratulations to Janet whose name was randomly selected by Rafflecopter as the winner of the Coconut Float giveaway.

Things To Consider When Remodeling

Disclosure: Please welcome this guest post.

There are so many reasons you might consider buying a home and moving – location, you’ve outgrown it, or maybe you really dislike your neighbor’s seven cats. Another common reason for moving is personal style – or the lack of it. Is your home just looking tired and shabby? Think about what it could be transformed into with the money you would save by not moving. Maybe a good remodel would be enough to make you fall in love with your home all over again. Here are some ways to make that process easier.

St. Augustine is Florida's Oldest City

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Heading to St. Augstine was my kids' aunt's idea initially. In fact, she has been telling me for quite a few months that she'd like to go. So, lo' and behold, when the opportunity presented itself, we headed off to Florida's oldest city! We decided before going that we'd like to try the Old Town Trolley Tours. This bus you see in the photo above, picked us up at our hotel, and drove us to the actual trolley stop (so cool!). That meant we didn't have to take our car at all! Hurrah, no need to find parking!

Wallaroo Fold and Go Sun Hat for Babies

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Wallaroo has these adorable little fold and go sunhats for infants. They have hats for adults too, and any age between the two, but what I want to talk about is the wee little ones. :)  You can see from the tag still attached that this particular one is UPF 50+, so I definitely wanted to get it for the newest babe in our family. We were traveling together (me, her parents and my youngest son) to a beach resort, so I figured she'd get more outdoor time if she had a nifty little hat to protect her.

My First Workout: Official Workout Programs Designed Just for Kids!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

So, my son was very excited when this box showed up on our doorstep because it's a package he has been looking forward to seeing. Some of you know he is in basketball, and that this season he was placed with students far taller and with more weight and strength than him. The last game of the season (the seasons run year-round) was today. If he gets placed with high school kids again (he is just leaving 5th-grade), we will ask for him to be moved back to his own age group. He honestly did not enjoy the season, but stayed in because he didn't want them to think he wanted to quit (kid logic). :)

When Your Pool Float is Bigger Than You...

Coconut Pool Floats has this huge array of oversized fun floats for the pool. We recently tried out the Jurassic Park Indoraptor and seriously, it was bigger than my son. :)

Fun Dolphin and Wildlife Cruise from Florida Water Tours in St Augustine

This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

St. Augustine is Florida's oldest city. We recently took a trip there, and one of the things we wanted to do was explore the beautiful water. We researched the reviews on Trip Advisor and selected Florida Water Tours. It was a good choice. Just to note, we did make reservations, but the sign says walk-ins are welcome. It's worth checking into if you're there and they're about to go (and you want to go too), but our boat was full, so I do recommend calling ahead.

You Have Heard of Tea Bags but What About Steeped Coffee?

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

At first blush you might think that's a cup of tea. Upon closer inspection, you'd find it to be Steeped Coffee!!! Perhaps you have heard of it before, but I assure you I have not!! It took me just one try to become and instant fan though. As some of you know, I am a huge coffee lover. Huge.

Family Gratitude Journal: Let's Record Some Memories Today

Settling in with a hot cup of coffee or tea, early in the morning, with a good book in hand is my ideal way to start the day. It doesn't happen much, I'll admit, but it's something I love to do when it does. My daughter on the other hand, gets satisfaction writing in a journal. She is great at it, and has gone through many journals in her life, so I can see her sitting on the bed, though it would probably be later in the evening, jotting down her thoughts in this hard cover Gratitude Journal.

Easy Read Time Teacher Because Kids Should be Able to Tell Time! Giveaway!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Every so often I come across something that was a given for me as a child to learn, but kids do not necessarily know how to do today, nor do they want or even think they need to have that skill. Cursive handwriting is one. Telling time the traditional way is the other. Call me old-fashioned (or just practical) but I think everyone should know how to tell time, and by telling time, I don't mean looking at a digital number on your phone. EasyRead Time Teacher has come up with some great ways to help teach your child how to tell time.
