It's all fun and games...
until the nails come out.
On a Bed of Nails at our recent visit to Wonderworks Orlando |
That's when the happy 'let's do this' smile, turns into one of trepidation and the 'get me out of here' vibe resounds very clearly in the air. 😄
Update: If you'd like to read more about WonderWorks (where this Bed of Nails is found),
I wrote an entire post on it here. Super fun place for the whole family!

He's braver than me. What great shots.
ReplyDeleteI linked you to Wordless Wednesday at my place.
Have a fabulous day. ♥
Thanks for the link. He's braver than me too. :)
DeleteThis reminds me of when we went to Branson a few years back. I made the boys drink a ton of H2O because we had been hiking and it was hot. We went to a magic show. Isaak was picked to be their assistant. Travis noticed he had a wet spot on his shorts, and couldn't go on the stage like that! He held it! When he left they asked for him. I had to send up Mica. :( Isaak was in tears for a long time. They had special photos for Mica. They made him float, and do other things.
ReplyDeleteI bet the bed of nails was so interesting to lay on. I picture it to be scary to lay on, but once you get on it probably feels like one of those faux acupuncture mats.
Oh no for Isaak. That's good Mica got to go. We went to a comedy dinner at this place too. They did take people from the audience and I was glad they didn't come anywhere near us, hahaha
DeleteBrave boy.
ReplyDeleteBraver than his ma. :)
Deleteo wow, what a brave boy! I wouldn't do it even if you pay me hahah ;)
ReplyDeleteSame. I skipped right by this one. ;)
DeleteLOL he is very brave to lay on that cos I wouldn't I'm a coward he nailed it heheh!
ReplyDeleteHave a naillesstastic week Rosey :-)
Yeah, not happening with me either. You have a naillesstastic week too. :)
DeleteI wouldn't do it!
ReplyDeleteI watched some kids and adults do it, trying to work up my nerve and wondering when I became such a chicken. ;)
DeleteOh my goodness he is braver than me! Though that said I've heard that the pressure can really make your back feel so much better!
ReplyDeleteI've heard that too, but it didn't convince me to climb aboard. ;)
DeleteOh! I would so lay on that!! Just not sure how I would get on it first of all. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThere were stairs on the side. :)
DeleteHow brave of him! I wouldn't have done it!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW, Rosey!
Hi Veronica. I loved your Eiffel Tower pics!
DeleteHi Rosey - great description of how he felt as he got on, and then worked out life was slightly different as the bed started working ... fun - love the photos - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi Hilary. He is a bit more cautious when those nails started to rise, that's for sure. :)
DeleteIs this at Ripleys Believe it or Not? Seems like a place to do this at!
ReplyDeleteWonderworks in Orlando. There were a lot of things in there that reminded me of Ripley's!
DeleteYikes! Now that is scary!
ReplyDeleteI thought so too. I probably would have done it in my youth. ;)
DeleteAhhh I don’t think I could do it! My daughter totally would tho!
ReplyDeleteI saw a lot of kids get on there, but there were some grown ups too! :)
DeleteEek that looks scary! But oddly... maybe it would feel good? Or am I weird for thinking that?
ReplyDeleteMaybe it would! I wasn't curious enough to try. I was more concerned about how sharp the nails were, hahaha
DeleteI believe he is saying, "Hurry up and take the picture so I can get off this darn thing!"
ReplyDeleteYep, he was ready to get up as soon as he felt nail tips. :)
DeleteI'm not sure you'd get me on that thing. I expect the kids would give it a go though hahah
ReplyDeleteThe youth do seem to throw caution to the wind with this kind of activity. :)
DeleteWe always enjoy taking our pictures on the bed of nails. Scarier than it feels though! Love his face!
ReplyDeletewww.chezmireillefashiontravelmom.com
Yeah, he was a little concerned once the button was pushed. ;)
DeleteWow! That doesn't look super comfortable. What a guy!
ReplyDeleteHe really is a cool dude. ;)
DeleteSuch a brave boy. To be very honest I am going to skip that:P
ReplyDeleteI'm with ya. Cool photo opp though. :)
Deletehis is actually super scary and I might think twice or think again before doing it. Reminds me of Ripley's believe it or not back in the days. That is one brave kid.
ReplyDeleteRipley's is right down the road. :)
DeleteI probably wouldn't lie on it. I know that nothing would happen to me, but I'd be too nervous anyway!
ReplyDeletewow! he is so brave to try this! i don't know if I dared
ReplyDeleteOh my that looks scary! good on him!
ReplyDeleteNow check that out! My kids would have a blast hanging out there.
ReplyDeleteHaha I'd give it a go. Already have a bed of nails mat, not quite that sharp though.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so scary and your son looked like he had fun with that one!
ReplyDeleteI have done this before and it is so cool! My kids loved it!
ReplyDeleteYour kid is brave. I would be terrified to give this a try.
ReplyDeleteHe's a real trooper laying on the bed of nails. Next thing you know, he'll want to go bungee jumping or sky diving ;)
ReplyDeleteWwwwoooaaahhhhhh...I am not sure I can play this game!
ReplyDeletelol, glad he did it..
ReplyDeleteNOT ME :)
