As a child, I was a voracious reader who devoured anything in writing that was in my path, including the selections on my mother's bookshelves. One of those books was Corrie ten Boom's, "The Hiding Place."

The ten Boom family was a typical loving brood, who were pretty much volunteered by circumstance to provide shelter to Jewish refugees at the height of World War II. It was a role they embraced without hesitation, and of course it was not without consequence. Severe consequence.

Grandmas are always popular, but let me tell you this, they are even more popular when they show up with stuffies in the car, especially when they're cute like these plush animals are... And I'm all about being the popular grandma, so I've loaded up the stuffies, put on their seatbelts (of course) and we are on our way to see the grandbabes.

This photo was generated with AI. I requested what I wanted, and then asked for revisions. It was created in seconds. Literally seconds. It's not perfect by any means. The trees look fake, the dog's legs could use improvement, etc. Still, I think it is amazing that you can say, 'dog jumping onto a raft in pool, with family and friends watching' and it will create the photo for you in seconds. Literally in seconds. 

What a remarkable (if not slightly unsettling) thing. Have you tried AI photos yet?

New Crisp and Woody Unisex Fragrance to Love: Be Earnest

 

There's no denying that I've developed a deep passion for fragrances. There are so many that I call "favorite." I must confess, however, that I don't have a single type of fragrance that I adore. The abundance of options out there, with new ones emerging constantly, makes it nearly impossible to choose a type (though I do seem to have more gourmands than anything else). What has been missing from my collection, is a nice selection of woody fragrances. Until now, I had one. Period. And I really enjoy it but I wanted more in that genre. Now I have added a new one: Rosy & Earnest's "Be Earnest" and I love it!
