--------------- Let's Eat Our Way To Beautiful, Silky, Smooth Skin

Disclosure: This is a collaborative post. Please welcome today's contributor.

There have been a number of studies that have proven that there are links between various nutrients and acne prevention, radiance, and wrinkle reduction. If you are not happy with the condition of your skin, you may find that a few simple diet changes make all of the difference. Below, we will take a look at some of the best foods for achieving a glowing complexion.

1. Green tea – Green tea is great for boosting your complexion. In fact, there are many health benefits to gain by switching to green tea. Green tea is high in antioxidants, especially EGCG, which is proven to lower redness, as well as fight inflammation. 2. Soy milk – Adding soy milk to your diet is beneficial because it contains proteins and minerals that have been shown to lower hyperpigmentation. 3. Kidney beans – Next we have kidney beans, which are high in zinc. This is important because there has been research that indicates there is a connection between low zinc levels and blemishes. So, by getting a good dose of kidney beans, you should find that your skin starts to become a lot clearer. 4. Fish – Fish is an excellent source of essential fatty acids like omega-6 and omega-3. Fish containing essential fatty acids are beneficial for the skin, as they reduce inflammation in the body. Inflammation causes acne because it triggers the cells to clog the pore. 5. Sunflower seeds – Sunflower seeds help to keep your skin supple, as they are loaded with vitamin E, which will protect your top layers of skin from the sun. 6. Peppers – Peppers can liven up any salad or stir-fry, and they are great for preventing crow’s feet. You should target the yellow and green variety of peppers especially, as they can reduce wrinkles, and they decrease the skin’s sensitivity to the sun. 7. Walnuts – Walnuts are a great snack for anyone that is trying to eat healthily and wants to boost the appearance of their skin too. This is because of the omega-3 essential fatty acids that are found in walnuts. They improve the elasticity of the skin. The nuts can also improve collagen production because they are loaded with the mineral copper. 8. Pomegranates – Pomegranates are full of polyphenol antioxidants, which regulate the skin’s blood flow and fight free radicals. You should either have a glass of pomegranate juice or one fruit daily, and this will do the trick. 9. Yogurt – Yogurt helps to make your skin more resistant to lines, as the protein contained in yogurt helps the skin to become firmer. Greek yogurt is the best choice, as it tends to contain twice as much protein as regular yogurt. Eat a single serving daily, and you should begin to notice a difference. 10. Dark chocolate – Cocoa is great for the skin, as it hydrates it, which makes it more supple and firmer. Find a good cocoa powder supplier! Adding a few pieces of dark chocolate to your diet will be enough to improve luminosity. But make sure that the chocolate you choose is at least 70% cacao, as this will ensure it contains a high level of flavanols, which is a potent kind of antioxidant.

Love Don't Be Shy Extreme (Limited Edition) Eau de Parfum

Every once in awhile I am sharply reminded that not everyone around me loves fragrance, such as is the case today when I gushed to my sister-in-law about my new Kilian perfume. "Never heard of it," she said. "Never heard of what?" I asked, still not 'getting it' that she had never heard of the house of Kilian... and then I realized, and I laughed. I have become so immersed in this land of perfume that it seemed unfathomable for a moment that someone hadn't heard of Kilian. Hearing or reading the name mentioned nearly every single day in perfume chats, research, or online, the name has become a part of my everyday vocabulary (and with good reason). But I do realize I am floating around on a scent cloud these days. So, if you are one of those people who has not yet heard of Kilian, let me introduce you to one of the most elegant luxury perfume lines in the world: Kilian.

Roar Like a Lion NEW BOOK Release (with giveaway)

Disclosure: I received a free product or a discount to purchase one. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

It's been awhile since I wrote about a good devotional so I'm here to talk about a really nice one I've found for children: Roar Like a Lion by Levi Lusko (with Tama Fortner) and illustrated by Catherine Pearson. We were fortunate enough to receive a copy prior to the release date, which is today, September 14th, so we've been using it for a little while now. It's been a huge blessing to our family, a way to encourage children to open up and talk about topics that might be heavy on their little minds and hearts, or a way to help them express happiness, and their internal joy (which children just naturally have an abundance of in their sweet little hearts).

New Release! Scooby Doo Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog

Disclosure: Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.

Scooby and the crew have been around for as long as I can remember, and I've loved them through all of the changes. Now I'm excited to meet Courage the Cowardly Dog and am loving the play on words for his name. Imagine having Scooby Doo as your mentor to overcome fear?! This one's going to have some laughter as well as excitement in it, for sure, as these movies always do.

fl How to Keep Your Skin Healthy All Year Round

Disclosure: This is a collaborative post. Please welcome today's contributor.

If you’re starting to notice the signs of ageing on your skin or you simply want to take further steps to look after it as you get older, it’s important to take an all year round approach. There are so many things you can do more of and pay attention to if you want to achieve the healthiest possible outcomes for your skin. And that’s precisely what we’re going to talk about today, so read on to find out more about doing this.

Keep Yourself Hydrated

First of all, you’ll need to make sure that you’re keeping your body as a whole hydrated all year, including if you travel. In order to function optimally, your organs need to be hydrated. And the skin is an organ too. So drink plenty of water, especially when you’re in hot and humid conditions. And on top of that, you can give your skin extra hydration by applying moisturizer.

Get Lots of Sleep

Getting plenty of sleep can be tough when you’re busy and balancing your career, but it’s worth at least trying to make it happen from the point of view of your skin’s health. Your skin needs the change to replenish and recover during sleep. So if you’re not getting enough of the sleep you need, you’ll be able to see it in your skin. So that’s something to keep an eye on.

FL Useful Tips On Successfully Managing A Team

Disclosure: This is a collaborative post. Please welcome today's contributor.

Whatever their jobs are, your staff are what keeps your business running. Everyone, from cleaners to elite salespeople, contributes to the smooth operation of your company. A solid team, on the other hand, needs a strong leader to guide them, and if you're not running things effectively, you can't expect your team to follow suit. So, how do you properly manage a team? Unfortunately, there is no correct or incorrect answer. There are, however, a number of things to keep in mind to help guide you along the road. Check out some things to keep in mind when managing a team.

Source

Time management tools are really helpful

It's all too easy to let time pass you by. However, projects must be completed, and your staff will require guidance in establishing time frames for their responsibilities. You obviously can't be present to ensure that everyone spends the appropriate amount of time on each task, so implement time management tools for your team and you! Time management systems notify you when it is time to switch jobs, allow you to arrange brief and frequent breaks to keep you as awake as possible, and help you to prioritise deadlines. There are numerous free time management tools available, but if you want the full benefits, we strongly advise enrolling in a paid version.

Happy staff = happy business

You've probably heard the phrase "happy wife, happy life." The same principle applies to your business (albeit it may not be as easy to say). Keeping your employees happy is essential for encouraging motivation, productivity, teamwork, and communication. But how can you keep an entire team happy? Treat them fairly, speak to them not at them, and use encouraging language to keep motivation levels high. Remember to listen to feedback you’re given so you can continuously improve the workplace for both you and your team! Having a happy team will also show to customers, therefore making you seem more trustworthy in the long run.

Compassion is key

Life changes, and while it's essential to find a way to keep work and personal life separate, it's not always possible. A sick child or the death of a pet or loved one will disrupt work, and it is essential that you show compassion to your employees when such events occur. Taking the time to offer your personal help in things like helping them look for Pet Urns from Memorials.com or offering to drive them to the hospital will help show you genuinely care. This will gain you respect and loyalty from your staff, which means that when they return to work, they will be motivated and as productive as possible.

Incentivise!

Unfortunately, you cannot expect a team to be enthusiastic and productive overnight. Your drive comes from the ultimate goal, just like it does for a fitness regimen or buying your first home, and that is what you must supply for your employees! Give them incentives such as an extra day of paid vacation, a raise in income, or even a promotion! You'll be astonished at how much this improves motivation and productivity.

Talk to your team

If your team works well together and there are no snags, you're one of the lucky ones! No team, especially in the office, can be expected to be perfect 100 percent of the time! Holding regular meetings for all employees will allow them to clear the air, get things off their chest, and give everyone a chance to contribute to the success of your company.

Give back to your team

Your team are the cranks that turn the cogs of your business, and they will need a break every now and then if they are working long hours! Even if you undoubtedly already allow them to take appropriate breaks, do you provide a variety of refreshments, such as tea, coffee, and cold water? While this is not required, it will certainly increase employee morale and ensure that they are as refreshed as possible throughout each break. Vending machines are rather inexpensive these days, and a kettle will not break the bank!

FL Out With The Old And Out With The Old

At some point in life, we've all come across the situation where you need to get rid of things. You may have moved into a new house and finding that your old stuff no longer fits in with what you've got planned with the movers, or maybe you need to de-clutter because you're having issues with hoarding; whatever the reason is, sometimes you need to get rid of your stuff and move on with your life.
