The Easter Gift Guide

Decorating the Eggs with EggMazing

When it comes time to get ready for Easter, I like to get the kids gifts both in and outside of their Easter Baskets. We also like to color eggs but using the traditional methods can get a little messy. The last few years, we have been using an Eggmazing to decorate them. You can get an Eggmazing that is shaped like a Peeps Bunny or buy one shaped like a traditional egg. Both are cute. The non-toxic quick-dry markers are included as are the batteries, and they are so very easy to use. Simply put the egg in the opening, place an uncapped marker on the egg and turn the machine on. Change colors when your stripes are the size you want them. These are fun. Great for family parties. Highly recommend (we have the one that makes Christmas ornaments too!).

PEEPS® EggMazing Egg Decorator (Hey Buddy Hey Pal): PEEPS® joins the EggMazing family with the new PEEPS® EggMazing Egg Decorator! Just like the other decorators, this bunny-shaped one holds and spins hard-boiled eggs while you use the included PEEPS® markers to decorate! Available in the iconic PEEPS® Bunny Pink and PEEPS Bunny Yellow! Available at Amazon (MSRP: $27.99; Ages 3+)

The Original EggMazing Egg Decorator (Hey Buddy Hey Pal): The #1 selling toy on Amazon leading up to the holiday, this line of mess-free egg decorators let kids become part of the decorating process instead of just “watching and waiting” for traditional messy dyes to work! This egg-shaped decorator holds and spins hard-boiled eggs while you use the included markers to create stripes, lines and other fun designs! Available at Amazon (MSRP: $27.99; Ages 3+)

The Stuffie (no Easter is complete without one)

The Bumpas weighted stuffies are BIG and WEIGHTED. Each version of the Bumpas is designed to wrap you in a great big hug, no hand required. These cutie-pies are a hefty 3 lbs. each, making them extra fun for those who don't need the added weight and extra comforting for those who do.

Bumpas™- New Tie-Dye Colors! (Good Soul Brands): Who doesn’t love a good comfort hug? Bumpas™ are lovable plush toy friends who you can play and cuddle with. This huggable friend is weighted to provide a sense of comfort and security when you need it most! Bumpas’™ arms are perfectly sized to give realistic-feeling hugs. Now available in 2 NEW tie-dye colors! The pink tie-dye Bumpas™, Sprinx, and the blue tie-dye Bumpas™, Shloof, are the perfect friends to collect and to get in the spring mood!  Available on Amazon (MSRP $45.99; Ages 3+)

For the Easter Baskets

For the actual Easter Baskets, we like to tuck little toys in alonside the jelly beans. 🐰 For the younger crowd (ages 2+), the Bizyboo's Scavenger Hunt plush eggs are precious additions. There is a plastic card attached to show the items listed. The job of the little ones is to find each thing pictured. See their faces light up as they come across the items. Fun for the older little ones too, as they tick each item off of the list until they have all been found.

BIZYBOO’s Easter Egg Busy Bag Scavenger Hunt (Vango Toys): These Hide ’N’ Seek Busy Bags are the perfect mess-free, on-the-go, and low-fuss companion! Using both written and visual prompts found on an attached card, children will have a blast prodding and shifting the beads around, seeking out the Easter objects! Not only do they keep little ones engaged, but these bags also foster learning and motor skill development and encourage independence. Available on Amazon (MSRP: $9.99; Ages 2+)

Playmobil has been a family favorite since my grown kids were little, and it still is, but now it's their children who are having fun with them. This year we've found two Playmobil items that we will be lovingly placing in the baskets. The first is the Horses of Waterfall kit with Ellie and her horse. In addition to the two characters, this kit includes a cowgirl hat, rope, and barrel.

PLAYMOBIL’s Horses of Waterfall- Feeding Time with Ellie & Sawdust:  Join Ellie and her horse, Sawdust, as they train for western riding! Yea Haw! With this PLAYMOBIL eco-friendly product line, it consists of, on average, more than 80% sustainable materials! It allows children to embark on exciting horse-riding adventures! Available on playmobil.com  (MSRP: $9.99; Ages: 5- 12)

The Playmobil Color & Crayola Motorbike allows you to decorate, wash it off, and start all over again. What kiddo isn't going to love to do that? It's small enough to fit in the baskets and big enough to shine (because it's spectacular). This is just the kind of gift my granddaughters like to find. They're all very crafty. 😊 And of course, Playmobil items are extremely durable.

PLAYMOBIL Color & Crayola- Motorbike:  PLAYMOBIL is celebrating the comeback of its classic PLAYMOBIL Color series after a 45-year hiatus with five new sets released in collaboration with creativity powerhouse, CRAYOLA. It's a colorful world with the Motorbike! Design your motorbike and rider using your own sense of style by using the two included Crayola markers to color the motorbike and rider's outfit as you wish! When you are ready for a change easily wipe the ink off and start all over again! How cool!!! Available on playmobil.com and Amazon (MSRP: $16.99; Ages 5- 12)

We prepare early for every holiday and Easter is no exception. Whether you prepare now or closer to the actual day, these are all stellar gift ideas for the kids, and don't forget to enter the My True Wish sweepstakes!

  17. I had always wanted to visit Paris, but I never had the chance or the money to do so. That's why I was overjoyed when my wife surprised me with an Easter gift: two tickets to the City of Lights. We spent a wonderful week exploring the museums, the monuments, and the cafes, and I felt like I was living in a dream.

  22. I hope this generates a lot of money so many wishes can be granted. If I won, I'd take a nice little trip. One that didn't require me to travel and work at the same time. Just a trip for the sake of it.
