Wordless Wednesday: Old-Timers Syndrome

Ah, I don't care what anyone says, those were the days...
Things weren't perfect but we walked right into grandma and grandpa's house
(no knock or appointment needed) and they were happy to see us (every single time).
We were just as happy to see them (and we did, often)
and grandma often had something fantastic on the stove or in the oven (no holiday required). 💗

  1. I agree with you. My grandma was just this wonderful. The other not so much, but my moms mom was the very best grandma ever.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, my friend. ♥

  5. Oh no, go back forty-fifty-sixty years and things were simpler and better. I remember my grandmother overfeeding us every time.

  6. I relate to this 100%. The older I get, the more I look back on my younger days and realize that I was far too eager to grow up.

  8. My grandmother was the salt of the earth. I can still here her calling me to help her in the kitchen when I make her recipes.

  11. Now that I have read this, it does bring back memories of one thing in particular: Not knocking on the door to grandma's house! How many people nowadays follow a policy such as this?

  15. This reminds me of visiting my grandparents in Alabama. My grandma was the most wonderful cook and she gave the best hugs. I miss her every day.

  17. I loved going to my grandparents. I loved that my grandmas were both great cooks. We had all sorts of great foods sweet and savoury when we visited.
