How are you liking being a new grandma? I'm guessing just fine. Congratulations. They are ever so precious.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, my friend. ♥
Make things where you hide the veggies or fruit like a smoothie or lasagna.
ReplyDeleteWe try to sneak veggies in soups.
ReplyDeleteThey know they need to eat their vegetables at dinner.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to get my kids to eat healthy is to model it! Easier said than done. Luckily, they're all athletes and have a stake in their own nutrition.
ReplyDeleteI get them to eat healthier by making healthier choices for them and explaining how good certain foods are for them.
ReplyDeleteLock up the cupboards. Ha! I tell them they can have a snack after school, but not before dinner. I serve spinach leaves with breakfast, and lately cucumber too. They get a lot of fruits and veggies in at the start of their day.
ReplyDeleteHow do you get people to eat healthier? Just don't buy junk!
ReplyDeleteNo grandkids
ReplyDeleteI let my kids choose what fruits and veggies they want to buy/eat for the week.
ReplyDeleteI like to make it "fun", like making animals out of snack components.
ReplyDeleteI try to get my kids to eat healthier foods by adding more vegetables to dishes they already enjoy, like scrambled eggs or fried rice.
ReplyDeleteI'd make homemade soup
ReplyDeleteI always provide a wide variety of healthy foods.
ReplyDeleteI don't have kids, but if I did, I would make homemade candy, and try to use organic ingredients. If they like it, I would continue to make more.
ReplyDeleteI would not have funk food in the house and would have fruit already cut up and available for snacking.
ReplyDeletejust leave them out for them, and dont say anything.
ReplyDeleteI have my kids try 2 bites of anything I make. They typically don't like the first bite but the 2nd one usually has them eating more. I also leave fresh fruit out on the counter. When they see it there, they tend to want it.
ReplyDeleteI make them try a small amount of different foods.
ReplyDeleteI make sure we have plenty of healthy snacks in the house at all times.
ReplyDeleteI give them veggies with a dip that they really like and also put veggies in the soups I make
ReplyDeleteThe best way is to have them on hand. I dont buy alot of snack foods so is they are snacky they have veggies and fruit to choose from. Thank you
ReplyDeleteI make sure there is plenty of healthy food for them to choose from and don't buy many unhealthy foods.
ReplyDeleteTry to get them to at least try different ones Sometimes you have to give lots of encouragenement
ReplyDeleteDon't give much choice by not buying junk. Eat healthy or starve. Easy peasy haha
ReplyDeleteNo kids! no need to try and sneak veggies... my dog loves them! I just put them in her bowl.
ReplyDeleteWe have an understanding that we all must try things at least once/two bites to make sure. Even I have had to try a couple things having to follow our rules.
ReplyDeleteWe do what my dad did when we were little, make something look lip-smackin' good and then we'd have to try it!
ReplyDeleteI try to incorporate at least 1 or 2 healthy items in their lunch that I pack them for school.
ReplyDeleteWe give them a variety of healthy foods.
ReplyDeleteWe do a fruit salad every week with different fruits based on what is on sale.
ReplyDeleteChocolate Poundcake muffins can hide just about any "yucky" vegetable- just puree and add 1/2 cup to the batter.
ReplyDeleteShe is only 9 months old. We try to give her healthy treats. No sugar.
ReplyDeleteI mixed healthier food in with other food. Like mixing spinach in with mashed potatoes.
ReplyDeleteI like to make fruit smoothies and add in some greens that she doesn't notice:)

I think it's a good idea to let kids help in the choosing process when buying vegetables. Yes, they will have to eat a vegetable, but they get to pick out which one!
ReplyDeleteI try to make certain that the foods available for snacks are fruits and veggies.
ReplyDeleteI do not have any kids that our in the house. My daughter has celiac and knows how to eat right. I have no grandkids

ReplyDeleteWe let them pick the kinds that they want.
ReplyDeleteWe put out creatively arranged cut fruits and veggies on a tray for the kids to snack on when they visit.
ReplyDeleteMy kids love to eat veggies - no need to trick them... plus they are both adults.
ReplyDeleteI got my kids to eat healthier foods by example by my eating those foods in front of them.
ReplyDeleteI have found that if they see me enjoying those foods, they are more inclined to want it for themselves.
ReplyDeleteI make a game out of it.
ReplyDeleteThey help grow the veggies in the garden and then it's a treat to eat what they grew.
ReplyDeleteI keep lots of healthy veggies and fruits readily available for easy snacking
ReplyDeleteWe cook lots of homemade soups & sauces using pureed vegetables !
