There’s something about a Bible that actually invites you to engage with it, not just read it and close it. That’s exactly what stood out to me about this one.

I’ve used a lot of Bibles over the years, and if you’re someone who likes to take notes, highlight, reflect, or just process what you’re reading in real time, you already know the struggle. Tiny margins, cramped layouts, nowhere to put your thoughts without squeezing them between verses like you’re solving a puzzle. It takes you out of the moment instead of pulling you deeper into it.

This one is the opposite of that experience.

First of all, the spirals. I didn’t realize how much I needed a spiral-bound Bible until I had one. It lays completely flat, no fighting with pages, no awkward holding positions, no losing your place. Whether you’re journaling at a desk, sitting in bed, or even bringing it to a study group, it just works. In addition to being the Bible, it also has a notebook or journal-like feel to it that I appreciate.

And then there are the margins. Wide, open, and actually usable. Not decorative margins, but actually functional ones. There’s enough space to write full thoughts, prayers, questions, cross-references… even those scribbled, in-the-moment reflections that don’t fit neatly into a line or two. It gives you room to think while you read, which makes such a difference in how you connect with the text.

What I love most is how it naturally slows you down. Instead of rushing through chapters, you find yourself lingering. Writing more. Noticing more. It turns reading into something interactive and personal, rather than something you’re just checking off your list for the day.

It’s also just… beautiful. The kind of Bible you actually want to open. And that matters more than people think. When something feels special, you’re more likely to come back to it.
