Rogers Family Gourmet Coffee #Giveaway

What's a good way to start a Monday morning? With a coffee review that gives you the chance to enter to win four bags of your own! Thanks to Rogers Family Gourmet Coffee, that's how Monday is starting over here today. :)

If you visit the Rogers Family Gourmet Coffee website, you're going to find a great number of items related to coffee and tea (including single-serve cups, accessories, gift baskets, tips to keep your coffee fresh, etc.). You're also going to find a huge selection of coffee that you can get in a variety of ways. Seriously, the options are amazing...type, flavor, roast...you can even select the type of ground you'd like for your coffee purchase. My husband likes to get the beans, I like to get the traditional automatic drip grind.

Did I mention they have a large variety of flavors and roasts? We've got four of them, and now I have the same four to give to one of you! Each of these are in 12 oz. bags, with an automatic drip grind.

When it comes to coffee, I dabble in flavors but I can take them or leave them... with one exception: Amaretto. Amaretto coffee is my weakness. I don't drink it often because I like it to be a treat, but when I do drink it... oh my! :)  The Amaretto Coffee we received from Rogers is the Fairwinds Coffee brand. It is a rich, full-bodied coffee, with zero aftertaste (which you do sometimes get with Amaretto). I love no aftertaste!  Fairwinds roasts their top-quality, hand-picked Arabica beans by hand, in small batches allowing for a darker, more flavorful blend. They package the coffee still warm, right out of the roaster, in vacuum sealed bags. The front of the bag has a one-way valve on the front to allow gasses to get out, and prevent air from getting in.

When it comes to traditional coffee, I like a medium roast. The San Francisco Bay Fog Chaser coffee is a blend of Central and South American coffees, all choice, hand-grown and hand-picked. It is also bagged warm, just out of the roaster. As much as I would love to open this bag up and taste it, I've decided instead to send it to my oldest son in D.C. He's up at 4 a.m. every morning, to head on out to work...coffee is a must-have for him in the morning, and he enjoys it. so I thought I'd send him this as a treat.

My husband likes most any kind of coffee, including the dessert flavors. When I asked him to pick out two flavors for the review/giveaway he went right to the Black Mountain Gold Swiss Chocolate Almond Premium Gourmet Coffee. This is a velvety Swiss chocolate from the Alps with fresh slivered almonds. If you like chocolate coffee, chances are very high you're going to like this blend. I brewed this one up this morning for hubby to take to work with him, he called and said he likes it! I'm not surprised, but... still good to know. I took a taste this morning, you can definitely taste the flavors, but not to the point that it's overwhelming, and again, no aftertaste (important to me with flavors).

While my husband will drink most any roast happily, it is the dark roasts that he loves the most. Over the weekend we tried the Cafe Jerusalem Kosher Coffee from Lion Gate (that my was my husband's second choice for the review). This is a smoky, rich, full-bodied cup that is also certified by the Star-K Kosher Certification. This was a coffee he really liked. I appreciated the flavor, it really is good. Dark roasts always taste stronger to me and this was no exception.

In fact, the coffee they personally grow is done so on biodiverse shade coffee farms, which makes them a carbon negative company, and this case, negative is really, really good!
