Little House Homecoming, a brand-new feature-length documentary celebrating the beloved television show’s 50th anniversary, is debuting exclusively on Trellis Virtual Cinema starting November 26th. A Heartfelt Return to the Prairie

This documentary brings cast members, historians, and fans together to revisit the real places that inspired Laura Ingalls Wilder’s timeless books. It’s a journey filled with emotion, laughter, and the kind of stories only longtime castmates can share. Dean Butler (Almanzo) and Alison Arngrim (Nellie) host this virtual screening event and share personal reflections before the film begins.

After the documentary, viewers will also enjoy a special bonus conversation featuring cast members at Rocky Ridge, the farm in Mansfield, Missouri, where Laura and Almanzo built their life together. You’ll see familiar faces, including: Karen Grassle (Caroline), Charlotte Stewart (Miss Beadle), and Wendi Lou Lee (Grace). Their shared stories make this feel less like a documentary and more like sitting down with old friends who helped shape one of the most beloved television legacies of all time.

For Me It's the Nostalgia

There’s something magical about the way Little House on the Prairie continues to resonate with audiences. It’s gentle, hopeful, and rooted in the belief that family, grit, and community can get us through anything. Who didn't want to have that sweet, little family with the great big bond that the Ingalls' family shared? In Little House Homecoming, that spirit shines brighter than ever.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or you’re introducing the series to a new generation, this release is an invitation to slow down, remember where we’ve come from, and celebrate stories that still feel like home. And since this is a virtual cinema release, you can make it a cozy family evening. Grab the blankets, pillows and snacks, and take a new or return trip to Walnut Grove.
