Learning All Year Long with Mrs Wordsmith Books and Games

Disclosure: Samples were provided to me. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

One thing we like to do over the break is make sure the kids' minds stay sharp for school, but not in a way that is intrusive or 'educational' blah blah blah, but rather, a way that is fun for them, will make them laugh and have the learning a million miles a minute without even knowing it's happening. There is a company that specializes in this kind of thing, and that is Mrs. Wordsmith

Check out her website to see the many excellent academic items available for you to help keep your children entertained and learning over the holiday break as well! The Blah Blah Blah game in the photo above is recommended for ages 3-7 but they have a group for the younger kids as well. I have four granddaughters, and three of them fall into this age group. This is a gift I am happy to give them this year, because I know they're going to love it, and I know it's going to be good for them too.

If you think "Systematic Synthetic Phonics" doesn't sound like the best time of your life, think again. Blah Blah Blah is the hilariously fun and effective phonics card game for ages four and up. It's fast-paced, it's silly, and it's highly competitive. The game was developed with teachers and phonics experts and is aligned to state phonics programs, making it the perfect tool for young readers!

My oldest granddaughter has transitioned from a few years of homeschooling to public schools, and no offense to public schools (I love them and love my job as a teacher) but she is academically way ahead of children her age. That happens when you have two loving parents who dedicate a whole lot of time to your education. It's not so easy in a big classroom of 32 students. ;)  To help keep her mind moving over the holiday break, I got her the Storyteller's Word a Day book (seen above) and "How to Write a Story," seen below.

Her vocabulary is already quite profound, so why not build on it while she's interested in such things? She is crafting skills that will last a lifetime, and while she's at it, how about putting those words to good use, creating stories she can regale to all of us, all by herself?!

You can select the area of learning you would like to help strengthen, such as phonics, writing, reading, vocabularly, etc. Mrs. Wordsmith really has thought of so many great ways to enhance learning.

I like the idea of gifting items that can be used all year long, and it gives me a certain peace of mind to know my grandkids all excel at learning. In fact, I have the smartest, cutest, nicest grandbabes in the whole wide world. It's true, just ask their parents (and they're pretty cute too)! 💞

  1. You can never start learning too early. These look like great tools to help young minds grow no matter if they are home taught or used at home to encourage even more learning outside of school hours.
