Doing a Target Run for Toys

Disclosure: I was provided complimentary products or discount codes to use towards the purchase of the product(s). All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

What toy can make a 2-year-old laugh uncontrollably and still hold the attention of a teenager? That would be the Wubble. You can get it in different sizes, and you can even get one that glows in the dark. He had more fun with this than he does any other toy in the house. This child was seriously cracking up while he was playing with the Wubble, which looks like a tie-dye bubble but plays like a ball.

It's super lightweight, but that doesn't keep it from having an awesome bounce! My child was bouncing it off the walls, throwing it at me (or trying, lol) and then holding it in the car. Yes, he felt the need to bring it along in the car.

You don't need a pump for this, it comes with an insert that goes in the ball, and then you use your own air to make it full-sized. Easy peasy.

You can get the Wubble at Target. There are a few different options. We have the Tiny Groovy Glow

and the full-sized two-pack of Wubbles (seen above). Now I've got my eye on the great big ones for my granddaughters. You can sit on those and boy, do they look fun. As for these, my son liked the smaller one better, which surprised me, but it was easier to bring along and set aside when you wanted to take a break. The full-sized one is better for two people in my opinion. It's fun to bop it back and forth between the two of you.

While we were playing with toys, I had my son put together the All-Pro Passer Robotic Quarterback, also available at Target.

Here is what it looks like before you assemble it. It honestly didn't take long to put together at all.

Fortunately for me, I have an eager teen ready to help assemble and get things moving. Believe me, you'll hear no complaints from me on that one. I like that he likes to help.

The idea behind the All-Pro Passer is that it will launch the ball to you, so you can use it for practice or for fun, and only one person is needed to play. The ball is not a traditional football, it is made from hard material, so just be careful not to get launched in the face. As long as you're paying attention, it's not a problem. AND It throws up to 25-feet, so that's great for being able to run and dive (or something simpler) if you'd like. My kiddo is a basketball kid, but he was still excited about this toy.

The 4th toy we had is the Smithsonian Mars Dig. We have one of these from years ago, but it was so much fun, we decided to get another for my nephew as a gift. They recently went to the Kennedy Space Center, and this is a great toy to reiterate some of the things he learned there and remind him of his trip.

You assemble the model of the Mars Perseverance Rover and take it out to dig. The reward is the rocks you'll 'find' on Mars. This is a hands-on toy that is fun for the kids, but it's absolutely educational as well. And it's from Smithsonian (drop the mic) so nothing else really needs to be said. Smithsonian is synonymous with educational. :)

We enjoyed all four toys, which I will link below in case you are interested in buying as well. All of them were fun, but it was the Tiny Groovy Glow Wubble that won my son's heart this go around. :)

If you have a child to shop for, or you want to get a gift 'just because' I highly recommend taking a trip to Target to pick one or more of these up.

  13. I have some nephews that I need to start thinking about what to get for the holidays. I think the Wubble sounds like a winner! I'll run it by their mom since she usually says no toys, but I am of the mind that aunties can break that rule LOL.
