(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Speed What?

 

Up north we call it a 'speed bump.'
Down south, I guess we call it a 'speed table' (although I did not know that until now).
What do you call them?

    I've never heard a speed bump called a speed table. We call them speed bumps here, too.

    Speed bumps here in Oz. Or sometimes 'traffic calming measures'. Which is a lie.

      lol, it's rough to hit them going fast, but I see people flying over them all of the time too.

    Its a road bump used to warn motorists that they should observe speed limit.

    I've not heard them being called speed tables before. We call them speed bumps here too!

    I've never heard of "speed table"! I've always called them a speed bump or sometimes have seen it called a speed hump.

    We use the term speed bumps here in Texas. I have never heard any other term.

    I call them speed bumps, however, when my daughter took her driving test recently the instructor called them speed tables. Lavanda Michelle

    I've only ever heard of speed bumps but I do notice that some are made differently. Did a quick search, apparently there is a difference between speed bumps, humps, and tables!! I never really put much thought into it before.

    We call it a hump here in my country. I've also heard others call it a speed bump but not a speed table.
