Many of you already know that I love Christmas. Like many people, it is my most favorite holiday, and I love every single thing about it. The thing is, when it is the traditional time to shop for holiday decor, everyone else who loves the holiday season is also doing the same thing. That means I sometimes do not get the things I want, when I want them, so to be proactive, and prevent such nonsense ;) I stock up in July!

Each year I select a few holiday items I love and tuck them away until the day after Thanksgiving (which is when we start to decorate). That day will be here before you know it.

Those of you who appreciate Christmas ornaments like I do, will be so happy to come across the huge selection of items available at Old World Christmas.  When I was shopping around for my Christmas in July post, I picked up two ornaments. One is an FSU stocking, the other is this MSU hoodie. I received four degrees (which were all sources of celebration when I earned them) so anything that represents my alma maters is welcome on my Christmas tree. In fact, most of my ornaments represent something important to me, a family member, something one of the kids or grandkids made, a special event (like graduation), a trip, etc.

Certified International makes THE best plates for Christmas that I have ever come across. These are heavy duty and can go in the dishwasher and the microwave. If you get a chance to buy these, they are unmatched for quality and they're simply gorgeous. They have plates for every season (and every day!). The set I have is discontinued now (and I'm so happy I now have it because they are so colorful and pretty!) but you can find so many good ones on their website, or on Amazon.
