If you want to look your best this summer, then read on; in this article, we have five of the best practices to protect your skin from long-term degeneration, as well as tips for fast solutions when you’re short of time. Don’t learn by trial and error; instead, use the tried and tested method for the best results.

Wear Sunscreen

Most people can’t get enough of the sun in the warm months, which is not surprising, especially if you live in a cold or cloudy part of the world; but it’s important to wear sunscreen if you want to look your best during summer and protect your skin from premature aging and long term harm.

The sun contains UVA and UVB rays which can penetrate the deep layers of the dermis and damage skin cells; even on cloudy days, these rays can get through and cause deterioration. Furthermore, sunscreen contains moisturizer, which keeps your skin hydrated while in the sun.

Stay Hydrated

Speaking of hydration, drinking water during the warmer months is excellent for your skin and

your overall health. Because water can’t be patented and sold by big pharma companies, scientists

struggle to find funding for studies, but the general consensus is that it’s beneficial.

When you’re in the sunshine, your skin becomes dry; then your blood vessels become smaller leading to sunburn and heat stroke. Naturally, sunburn is not something you need for your skin, but staying hydrated can protect your skin from the sun and keep it supple and clear in general.

Use Treatments

If you are dissatisfied with the condition of your skin due to aging or sun exposure, you might consider a skin treatment option such as botox to eliminate the wrinkles on a specific part of your face, such as the eyes or mouth. Botox treatments offer a fast and effective skin solution.

Sometimes you don’t have the time to improve your skin over the course of a week or a month; you might have a summer event to attend and need to look your best at short notice; botox is an excellent option in this case. Botox can enhance your natural beauty with almost instant results.

Moisturize

When the temperature starts to rise, many people put their moisturizing routine to one side and choose sunscreen instead, but this isn’t always the sensible option. Of course, the air is less dry in the summer months, but you still need some moisture in your skin from the outside as well.

If you’re thinking that sunscreen and moisturizer are too much cream on your skin, then you’re probably right; nobody wants their pores clogged up, which can also lead to some skin issues. Instead, choose a sunscreen that contains moisturizer but also has a high SPF for protection.

Cover up

Nothing damages your skin more in the long term than consistent exposure to the sun, which is why you need to cover up as much as possible in the summer heat. That doesn’t mean all the time, of course, but if you can limit your exposure to between 10 and 30 minutes per day, you can protect your skin and absorb enough vitamin D for your health.
