Universal Home Entertainment has Holiday Blu-Ray and DVD Favorites

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

It's closing in on Thanksgiving, and then all of the hustle and bustle of Christmas will start (in many places it's started already). One thing we love to do this time of year is watch holiday movies. We have our classic favorites like the Grinch and we always love Veggie Tales. Something fairly new to us, though it's not really new to many, is the Holiday Stories Collection

My daughter has always loved Veggie Tales when she was little. We have never seen a Christmas Veggie Tales movie though, so we are excited about this one. Maybe we will watch it the next time my oldest granddaughter comes to spend the night. I have a feeling she'd get a kick out of the vegetables and their cute story lines. Or maybe my daughter (who is now grown) will see it and want it for her little one (update...the last scenario totally happened...my daughter was visiting, saw it, and said, 'Vegggie Taaaaales!!!' I asked her if she wanted it and she was up and claiming it before I got the words out :) ).

Bob and Larry are preparing for their first Christmas show in Mr. Nezzer's theater and the show seems to be headed for disaster. Bob begins to wonder how to celebrate Christmas when everything is going wrong. It's when the Veggies go back to the very first Christmas, where times were tough and things didn't seem to be working out, that they all learn the promise of Christmas - God is with us. It's a timeless story of hope that every family will enjoy!

The DreamWorks Holiday Collection is the one that is not new, but is new to me. It takes our favorite characters and puts together a few short movies with them in it, all with a holiday theme. I can't wait to watch the Trolls Holiday (I hope it has some awesome music in it like their movie did) and Donkey's Caroling Christmas-tacular. My grand is excited to see the Madagascar shows. I suspect we are going to enjoy all of them though.

Our family enjoys viewing The Grinch. We have enjoyed it every single Christmas season. It doesn't matter what version is on, we just love it. This one by Illumination, however, is our favorite. Last year we went to the movies to see it, and it was awesome. It was great to see it on the big screen with a tub of popcorn and a couple of sodas. Even better since our local movie theater has installed leather recliners.

Illumination and Universal Pictures present The Grinch, based on Dr. Seuss' beloved classic. The Grinch tells the story of a cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas, only to have his heart changed by a young girl’s generous spirit. Funny, heartwarming and visually stunning, The Grinch is fun for the whole family!

  8. So many great Christmas movies here! I really can't wait to get started watching them (but after Thanksgiving. We must allot the appropriate amount of time to respect each holiday individually lol)

  9. Those are fun.

At our house we all have different favorites. Travis likes The Christmas Story, Isaak like The Grench That Stole Christmas, Mica likes Elf, and I like Family Man (the most underrated holiday movie).
