What's cuter than heading to an open-air, half outside/half-inside restaurant with a wooden-plank bar for ice cold beverages, in my case, iced coffee with heavy cream and sugar (yep, heavy cream with sugar, and no regrets)! This particular place also happens to be located on the water, and is perfect for either coming or going, depending on the circumstances, when you're going to spend the day boating, or just hanging out by the water...both of which, are a great way to spend the day! If you are going to be on or around the water, having a large tote is always a must. This pink faux-suede laptop tote from MobileEdge has fast become my new favorite. This tote has everything you could possibly want in a travel, daily, or weekend bag. Everything!
This particular edition, and there are others in the series, is pink in honor of the Susan B. Komen Foundation. 10% of each retail sale is donated to it, in order to help support finding a cure for breast cancer.
The label inside announces the partnership between MobileEdge and the foundation, and is reason to smile every time you open your tote. It's nice to be a part of something bigger and better, and this cause is near and dear to so many of us, for varying reasons, myself included.
There are many things that I love about the bag, in addition to the high quality construction, feel and girly look of it (check the website, there are many options, types, and colors). My absolute favorite feature of the bag though, is that it has a separate, pull-out compartment for your laptop. The striped portion you see on the right stays in the bag, in the middle, safely secured with a long fold over Velcro tab, or you can take it out of the tote entirely. This area keeps your laptop protected in what is called a Superior Safety Cell.™
The black tab in the middle is securing the section that pops out. A laptop of up to 15" fits inside the removable computer section.
Inside there is a pouch pocket, a longer pocket that zips and a key chain. Literally everything you need for the bag you are using for travel, beach trips, weekends, etc. can be put in the bag, even eliminating the need for a purse. That makes it a convenient option for airplanes, for sure, when the last thing I want to do is have a bunch of things to carry on and keep track of too. It also makes it great for weekend excursions too.
The carry handles are the perfect length for either holding this bag by hand, or slinging it over your shoulder.
The matching cosmetic bag is a nice touch, especially because it too has a secure zipper going across the top. You can put make-up, sunscreen, atomizers, etc. in here. You might even want to use it for loose change, or little items you want to carry but don't want to lose in the depth of this gorgeous and very generously sized laptop tote.
The ez-access ticket pocket on the outside of the tote could be used for whatever you'd like to keep at your fingertips. Inserted in mine is a card showing you that this tote has a lifetime replacement warranty. To me, that's huge for a laptop tote. MobileEdge has good reason to take pride in the construction of their bags. Adding the warranty though, is a really nice touch. It makes your purchase of their product(s) a guaranteed quality investment.
There is one more thing I want to say about the tote itself. The bottom of it has steel feet to protect your bag when you put it on surfaces. That's something I always look for when making a purchase of a larger bag.
In addition to all of this, my bag was also shipped in a lightweight protective sleeve, which makes it perfect to use when you are storing it, or otherwise not using it. I put my bag in it before we got on the boat, to protect the bag from saltwater, or anything else that might happen to take place while we were out and about.
The dimensions of this bag are 18" x 14.5" x 5" and it holds up to 17" laptop screens (remember the center removable piece holds up to 15"). This is from MobileEdge's Caring Case Collection. I am very pleased with this bag, and happy to share all of this wonderful information about it, with you!
