Perfect for Mother's Day! Versatile High Quality Epson Expression Premium XP-6000 All-in-One Printer

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Okay, let's talk about the Epson Expression Premium XP-6000, which you can pick up in places for $60 and under. I have been hesitant to get a printer inexpensively priced, but now that I have one, I wish I'd have gotten this one so much sooner. I can't speak for all brands that sell reasonably priced all-in-one printers, but this Epson is amazing. You can see some of the pictures I am printing above (coming out of the printer, on the side of it, and resting on top). The colors are vibrant, and I've saved a whole lot of money having my son take the pictures, and then printing them at home. And let me tell you, we're all so pleased with them. They came out every bit as beautiful as they would have in any portrait studio or store. In fact, I could easily and accurately say that this printer paid for itself the very first time we used it. Now lets talk about what it can do, and then I'll show you how some of those things turn out.

It scans. I have used this function and been very pleased with it. That's a simple given, you might think, but I also own an expensive printer that used to scan to my computer and now it doesn't...not even with troubleshooting with the company on the phone. It's so nice to have this option available to me again. So nice.

It has multiple trays, and the one that prints photos has an adjustable slider to ensure your photos align with the size you selected.

It has individual ink cartridges. I like that the ink for paper printing is separate from the colored inks, and separate from the black that is used for photos (in terms of it is not drawn from the same single or multi-cartridge). I also like that the ink for paper is larger than the size of the ink for photos, allowing it to last a lot longer. We do a lot of traditional printing.

This picture just shows you how the ink looks when it is in place. When you wirelessly sync your computer to the printer, you will be able to access a screen that tells you how much ink is left in each cartridge. I love that feature!

The digital interface is easy to read, and it walks you step-by-step through the initial set-up of the printer which is fairly quick and not at all difficult to maneuver.

This tray slides out for your finished products to rest on. It's a nice deep tray so papers aren't falling to the floor as they come out.

And while we're looking at paper trays, here is the one to use for loading your paper. You can see it has the guides on the side (blue) to help prevent paper jams, and keep paper in place.

After the initialization, I printed a test page and we were ready to go.

I used the option of printing from a memory card, and it worked like a charm. This slot is located on the left of the printer, and when printing time is over, the lid you lifted to use it, goes over it to prevent dust from getting inside. That is a very thoughtful feature from Epson.

There are a lot of options on the screen however you are using the printer, and I like that...choice is good, especially with a printer/scanner.

I think it's fun that there are different sizes of photos already pre-programmed into the printer, so you can easily make up a photo package with various prints. You can also make cards, announcements (we have a new baby in the family now, so we're loving that option) and more.

I loaded up some 4x6 glossy photo paper to see how the Epson would print. I have printed photos at home, but it's been years, and honestly I must not have been overly impressed because it's been so long I can't even remember when it was, or what printer I had at the time. I'm happy to say my opinion has now changed because these came back every bit as clear as they would have if I had allowed them to be printed by a professional service, only better because I had options to play with, and they popped out instantly.

You can scroll through the feed to find and select the photo you'd like to print, and then you select the sizes you'd like to have or the project you'd like to use it to make.

I chose one of my favorites, and bravely selected 3 prints (one for me, one for my daughter and one for my mom).

I scrolled through some of the editing options, but decided to keep it as it was (my oldest son took the pictures, and I love his work. If you're looking for a Palm Beach photographer, I'm sure he'd love to have a conversation with you). My photos printed in less than 15 seconds and the ink was instantly dry (and there was no funny ink smell!). I instantly was in love and started to print more photos.

While this photo was up, I decided to print some other sizes, including some small prints I thought my daughter might like to choose from for her baby book (she is diligent about keeping a baby book, just like her mama *ahem* was/is). :) You can see I did play with the crop feature on this one.

They came out so crystal clear, that I instantly decided to up the ante and print a bigger size. I wen tto 5x7. You can see in the photo above that those came out very clear as well. I am loving this printer!

Next up on my list of things to try? Multiple photo selections on one sheet, some sized vertically and some sized horizontally.

It was not complicated at all to choose the selections I wanted and place them where and how I wanted them, on an 8x10 sheet of glossy photo paper (I prefer glossy most of the time, to matte, if I am working with smaller pictures). Here they are coming out of the printer and you can see they are just beautiful. On the top of the printer, though you can barely see it, I also printed an 8x10 of the hand hearts on the belly (classic for a maternity shoot these days). The colors came out so vivid, even on the larger photos.

Of course if you want to scan a photo and have it print (or store on a device, or to your computer) you can do that too with merely the push of a button.

This photo isn't really to show you anything about the printer, it's to show you about our nosy cat. Our kitchen table has benches for the long sides, and I put one against the wall. Now this ol' girl thinks it's her right to jump up on it and inspect any new thing that comes into the house. And she does find and inspect every new thing...although she's got a cat attitude about it...she notices it, pretends she doesn't and then later in the day saunters on over to smell it, and if she likes it, curl up and fall asleep on it (this includes my work papers if they are left out). 😜

You can also use a USB memory stick (Epson has thought of everything!), which I did because I use them a lot for work. This is a super convenient feature that makes me absolutely giddy. There is also a DVD tray so if you want to save to a DVD or print from one, you can do that as well!

As you can see, the printer itself has many options too. You can print from your memory card, USB memory stick, computer, laptop, or mobile device. No ethernet required. My favorite thing about the paper printing option is that it prints double-sided sheets, fast!!! They also come out crystal clear...very sharp, and I couldn't be happier with this printer.

No matter what your printing needs are, I highly recommend this printer to you. The Epson Expression Premium XP-6000 is top-notch and we honestly love everything about it. I have printed over 100 things on it now, and every single thing has been perfect. I highly recommend this printer for you, or for an awesome gift idea (Mother's Day, perhaps?!). You can make so many things with this printer, including banners, labels, have photo booth activities at a party (talk about fun memories to keep!), and so much more. This printer is my new favorite. 5 out of 5 star quality rating from me!

I love how clear the photos turned out. The colors were really bright too. We have an older model of Epson printer at home. If we need to get a new one, we'll get this model. Or I can just let my daughter have my old printer so I can get this one for me like right now. :)
