Who Wants to Win a Polaroid Instant Camera?!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

I wrote the post below quite awhile ago now, but this camera is still my favorite digital and instant camera combo!! Today, I learned that the camera now has a lower price on Amazon (now $149!!). To help celebrate the new Amazon price change, and help get the word out, Polaroid is offering one of these awesome cameras to a lucky winner. This is a WONDERFUL GIFT IDEA for any time of the year! It could also be a great way to treat yourself. Get your full-sized pictures instantly to keep or share with a friend!! So many uses, so many smiles. Winner chooses color!

Instant cameras have made a huge comeback. I see them at school events, and two of my grown kids have them too. I love them, but the size of the pictures had got smaller for awhile...until now!! Back to the generous size that's similar to days of old, this brand new Polaroid Pop offers up 3.5 x 4.25" prints instantly, or you can use the digital option with the SD card to save and print later. In addition to that, it's sleek looking and I can't get enough of it. I just love to look at it! The features make it fun to play with, and the touchscreen makes it very easy to learn and maneuver. In the photo above, the print is just finishing up...completing it's roll out of the camera. You can watch the picture forming, as it moves towards the top, which is a new feature I've never seen before. Both me and cutie patootie up there liked that one.

So here's what it comes with...you get the camera itself (which to me feels like a tablet, only it's thicker), a strap so you don't drop it easily, the USB cord, an instruction book and a box of film (10 sheets) that you can use in addition to the several demo sheets that are included.

I took the top off here, so you can see how easy it is to load the film. Outside of the film...which is wonderful because it allows you to print instantly anywhere...without a computer, this camera has everything you would typically expect to find in a camera today, and more!

The touchscreen shown here allows you to adjust the light, put the flash on or off, access your photo gallery or get into your settings where you'll find some great things to do like add a filter, put on some 'stickers,' write some words, change it to black & white, etc. I did all of this without downloading the app, but there is an app you can put on there too (it has built-in WiFi access) that I'm sure would give you a plethora of nifty options as well. This is our first day having it, but we'll certainly get the app at some point and start experimenting.

The LCD viewfinder touchscreen is crystal clear. I love that you can add the date or take it off easily. I honestly have never figured out how to do that on my traditional camera, so I have always just left that option off. Sometimes you might want it on, and other times you won't, or at least that's how I feel about it. If it's a special day or event, it's something I like. If not, then meh, I'm not a fan of it on the photo.

You can rotate, edit and crop your photos at will. You can set the timer and get in the picture too, if you'd like, and that's super easy (and oh so fun) to do.

My son was fascinated with the Polaroid Pop, so I did let him take a couple of pictures. I also explained that he could use the digital feature to store photos and decide which ones he might like to print out later. In the next (4) photos, you can see a progression of his picture as it comes out of the camera...

It really doesn't take long to print at all, and it's sure fun to watch it come up. See how the photo went from a full screen to a partial view? That's because you're watching it as it develops and moves up.

This is the top coming out, and it's only a few mere seconds before the rest follows. It does make a little noise while it's running. Nothing of significance that lasts long at all, but worth noting so you don't expect that it will be silent.

Here is a little more progression, and you can see my son is mesmerized waiting for it to come out. I think he was scared it was going to fall to the floor too, but Polaroid has a nice little feature that catches it at the top when it's finished printing, so it doesn't just fall to the ground.

And there the photo is in all of it's glory. :)

This Polaroid Pop is going to be fun to take to the hospital when my new granddaughter is born.

We can take pictures, and add 'sticker hearts,' using black & white,

or color! :)

Here is a photo that shows how the 'stickers' look when printed. I think they're really cute and they look just like they're a natural part of the picture. On the screen is the photo I took, with the word 'Hi' deliberately added. You can save that photo to use later, print it out immediately, or do both. And at the top of the device, you see it printed.

This camera has so many elements of fun added to it that it's hard to remember it's a serious contender too! With a 20 megapixel CMOS sensor, dual LED flash options, bluetooth (and WiFi as mentioned above) connectivity, and crystal clear pictures that print quickly, this is the camera to own for the new year. I smile every time I see it on my table (where it's relaxing for the moment, until I get some more time to experiment with it). If you like what you see, you can learn more about this lovely instant camera by visiting the Polaroid website. You can purchase it in retail stores everywhere, and online, including at Amazon (where you can now buy it for just $149!).

There's a Giveaway

One lucky winner will get a Polaroid Pop (you choose the color) to call their very own. U.S. entrants only.
