Playmobil Take Along Haunted House

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Playmobil has a Take Along Haunted House that is hauntingly hexing, or at the very least, it is a lot of fun and perfectly fits in with the Halloween season. My son loves this time of year, and though he'll have fun with this set all year round, it will definitely be a seasonal favorite for many years to come. I love that everything is contained inside of the carry-along house (you don't have to worry about losing pieces), and my son loves that it has such gruesomely cool and very detailed pieces like bats, a spider, rats, a skull, trap floors, and detailed characters such as a vampire who comes with his own coffin.

The set has over 70 pieces. Some of them are pretty small, which makes for some really great details, but also means this set is recommended for children ages 4+

I'm one of the first to admit bats are not my 'thing,' but I can't get over how cute these little tiny bats are in the set. That book detailing how to make Frank cracks me up too. ;)

The house itself is super easy to put together, with two very large pieces that comprise the front and back.

You put the two floor pieces in place to keep it open, and close them up to shut and carry the house when you need to move it, or want to transport it.

Here is a closer view. This house is cute, right?

Playmobil always makes the best quality of toys, so it is no surprise that this set is sturdy too. The pieces are movable too, and encourage imaginative play.

My son brought his to the hotel we visited on our mini-vacay last weekend, and although he had two pools and a lazy river at his beck and call (which he did gladly utilize), he didn't mind at all, sitting around and spending time getting to know this set. This type of toy is right up his alley, and Playmobil has been a favorite for years!

Here is what it looked like when he was done.

Of course, you can move the pieces wherever you'd like them to go. The vampire decided to brave the fog in the photo above. Menacing and sneaky looking, eh? 🕱

The mad scientist sure looks happy to be cooking up trouble too, don't you think?

And this is what it looks like when you remove the floor pieces (which tuck inside) and close the house. It becomes a convenient carry case that is adorable in its own right.
