SoftScience Flip Flops: Practical Pretty and Perfect for Me!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

You'll appreciate all of the features that go along with these
Waterfall Stripe Women's Flip-Flops from SoftScience

I'm going to talk about the conventional things you like about shoes (design, color, comfort), but I'm also going to talk about the unusual aspects I appreciated with these new Waterfall Stripe Women's Flip-Flops. First let's talk shipping, as in shipping and handling! I ordered mine online, which I have done before with shoes, so was comfortable doing with these as well. When they arrived, they had these practical cardboard inserts though, that ensured they were keeping their shape from state to state while they were tossed and turned about in various delivery trucks on their way to me. So nice!

Second, they had this great grip on the bottom!! It is slip-resistant and absolutely perfect for taking on the dock, to the boat, wearing by the pool or anywhere else you find yourself with a lot of water on the ground beneath your feet! This is not a feature you traditionally find with flip-flops!

And THIS is the comfort molding on the insoles! You can't feel these awesome little bumps when you're wearing your shoes, but they ensure your feet are supported and not aching by the end of the day (which oftentimes happens for me in other shoes of this type).

The Trileon™ insole provides superior comfort and stability, but you can also remove and replace it with your own custom orthotic.

The soft cloth toe grip doesn't bother my toe at all. I didn't have to "break these in." They were comfortable all day the very first time that I wore them. The cloth overstrip allows the top of your foot to 'breathe.' That is important to me too. While I do like the look of leather (previously my preference for flip-flops), I find it is not practical for this type of shoe because it doesn't allow air to get to all areas of your feet when you are outside. Not a problem with these shoes from SoftScience. These protect your feet from the elements but keep them nice and cool while doing it.

These shoes also have an odor resistant insole. That last feature is super important when you're talking beach shoes, because things that get wet tend to get stinky if they're not dried out properly. These are designed to help with that, which is perfect for me because we are at the beach every chance we get!

And they're lightweight!! SO lightweight!

At the core of the SoftScience™ shoes’ construction and personality is a proprietary material called Trileon™ — a closed cell copolymer developed by Scott Seamans exclusively for SoftScience™. The unique properties of Trileon™ — cushioned, stable and lightweight — allow us to produce a shoe weighing just six to ten ounces that is comfortable with high-impact resistance and support. Trileon™ is used in the shoes’ durable outsole and in the removable, washable insole. The outsole and insole combine to produce the unique comfort experience, which is the “WOW” factor in all SoftScience™ shoes.

For the traditional things you value in shoes, SoftScience has those covered too. They are comfortable, and appealing to the eye. This is the Khaki. There are five striped patterns (colors) available. They also dry quickly and are easy to carry along to the beach, or wherever else you might want to bring them. I left mine unattended on the beach just long enough to get this picture, and then rushed right back to them because the sand that day was hot!!

I have a pair of flip-flops that cost more than these, and they are so comfortable, but they are clunky and ugly! I've put those to the very back of my shoe rack now, and these SoftScience flip-flops are right up front for easy access. I've worn them at least ten times since I've gotten them, and am so happy to have them in my collection.

You can learn more about SoftScience by visiting their website. There are many colors and styles of shoes to choose from for men and for women. You can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram.

Hi Rosey - well you've sold them to me ... if I needed them - but they do look to be clever with their science. Thanks for the post ... cheers Hilary

I do love the bottom part of the flip flops. I always have so much trouble choosing the right pair of shoes because my feet simply refuse to fit into anything else but trainers. Even with flip flops I'm struggling.

These seem pretty well made too. And you say they are as comfortable, then I sold! Period!

This is interesting -- I spent my childhood unable to tolerate the part of the flip flop that goes between my toes. I have just started being able to wear them -- so perhaps I should check these out!

Sure sound like a winner. I have to get orthotics, so good to know they can be switched in.

I like how simple the looks but I am sure it is reliable. I always wear flip flops so I also want this pair.

I love flip flops and these look really cute. They also look really comfortable and I am a fan of comfort. I will have to get a pair of these to add to my flip flop collection.

If I wore flip flops these babies would be on my wish list. Some reason that thing between my toes just drives me nuts.
