Well, October was Awesome but Let's do Breast Cancer Awareness All Year Long! Carpet One #Giveaway

October was a great month! We did all the things you're supposed to do, and we loved every second of it. We took lots of pictures along the way too with family and friends! I got a picture of the four kiddos we took to the pumpkin patch, inside a classic stand-up photo-opp display, and it makes me laugh every time I see it.

We milked cows, even if they were made of wood...

rode a pony by the pumpkin patch,

got photo bombed by a camel (do you see it?),

jumped in bounce houses,

shot an air cannon,

climbed bales of hay,

had rock wall climbing competitions,

went on a hay ride (hurrah!),

and learned that corn can grow quite well in a hot state like Florida. ;)

We also had hot apple cider donuts (oh my goodness they were good),

and most importantly, we helped bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness month in every way that we could, including using this awesome indoor/outdoor carpet from Carpet One. Head on over and take a look at their website, where you can find an array of rugs to help show your support year round too (because after all, it is definitely a year-round cause). Everyone has a story...so many of us have been touched by this type of cancer (or know someone who has been affected). It just makes good sense to support it in any way you can. A big thank you to Carpet One for consistently pledging their support year after year by showcasing new talent, and creating rugs where 25 percent of the proceeds directly support the five-star rated Breast Cancer Research Fund

This year’s collection taps new talent
The 2017 pink ribbon mat collection features 18 designs, (http://bit.ly/2vxB0Zu) including interior design experts Melissa Davis and Lisa Mende, who pull from their personal experience to create dramatic, impactful mats that fit any home decor. In addition, graphic design artist Justin Niederkorn, a senior designer for an international non-profit agency, tapped his artistic talent and love for the women in his life, to create a mat that graphically tells the important story of a breast exam. Mikayla Chandler, a Savannah College of Art & Design advertising and illustration sophomore, created a powerful image of lines that seem almost inter-connected, and resemble the shape of a breast, swoop of a cup and wisps of hair. The two graphic designers have created edgy and thought-provoking artwork that add to the fashionable and functional collection.

There's a Giveaway!

Carpet One is offering one lucky reader a door rug to call their own. Readers's choice of the options above, if inventory allows. If for some reason the carpet of choice is sold out (and that's a good thing) another choice is offered. Good luck to all who enter. US entrants only.

    1. I wish we'd have gone into the actual pumpkin patch this year, but it was so hot we were melting at one point, and just couldn't get over there. ;) First year to miss it, but that's okay. The grocery store sell the pumpkins a lot cheaper anyway. :)
