Carpet One: Good Cause Door Mat #Giveaway

October is designated as the month where we recognize and support Breast Cancer initiatives. That is wonderful, and I do mean really, really awesome (the more support the better!) but we all know that Breast Cancer is not something that just affects us during one-month, it is a year-round concern. As such, Carpet One Floor and Home Stores sell items (they donate a portion of the proceeds) to support the initiative year-round.

We recently had this one with patriotic colors and the Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon in the corner, sent to our home. We are using it inside, just before you exit to the patio, but you can use it as an outside mat too.

The back has these great anti-slip nubbies (seen in the photo above) that keep the rug in place. That's important for us because we have this crazy cat who likes to send our rug flying when he gets in the mood. I'm not sure what he does to the rugs, I just know that they're all bunched up from time to time. He always does this when we're not looking. Oh to be a fly on the wall....

In any case, we love the door mat, and we love that Carpet One Floor and Home Stores are selling these kinds of items year round. That being said...how would you like to win a mat of your own? One lucky winner will have one of the mats found when you click this link (not an affiliate link) randomly selected by the sponsor and sent to their home. That's a pretty good deal, right? A big thank you to them for hosting.

This holiday season, we're inviting you to gift your doorway with style and heart.
On behalf of Carpet One Floor & Home, a cooperative of 1,000 locally owned flooring stores nationwide, we are offering you the opportunity to receive a Welcome a Cure Pink Ribbon Mat, which helps raise money for Breast Cancer research.

These mats, featuring 19 different designs, including four selections created by noted interior designers Lisa Mende, Traci Zeller, Melissa Davis and Kelli Ellis.  For each $24.99 ($34.99 CDN) mat sold, 25 percent of the proceeds directly support the five-star rated Breast Cancer Research Fund, with a million dollars raised to fund a cure.

Breast Cancer is something that has affected so many of us in one way or another. How wonderful to find yet another company who is supporting them year round. You can visit Carpet One at their website, and on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and/or Instagram.

US entrants only.

Door mats with a cause are a great idea!
What an awesome method to promote the good things.

I learned that there are some hidden costs of flooring. Generally, there are additional fees for removal and disposal of existing floor, sub-floor leveling, and cleaning and furniture removal.

What a great concept and cool mat! I also like that it's non-slip. I have just purchased a door mat at Home Depot recently and I almost killed myself on it the other day - so slippery! LOL

. To get a basic idea of the amount of flooring you’ll need, use a standard tape measure to measure the length and width of your room and write down the measurements

Though the carpet really looks nice, we really need more causes like this. Breast cancer has taken a lot of people I personally know and it's making me teary-eyed whenever I think of doing anything i can to prevent others from succumbing to the same fate.
