Amwell is Transforming Medical Care! Try the Online Service for ONE DOLLAR with the Code HEALTHY27

Disclosure: This is a sponsored conversation from Mums the Word Network and Amwell. All opinions are genuine and my own.

Try Amwell for just $1.00!
Amwell is amazing! Why? Because it saves you TONS of time, it's effective, it's user-friendly, and it's affordable. What is it? It's an online service for medical care. Who can use it? Anyone! Come read about my experience, and you'll see why I'm singing Amwell's praises.

Try Amwell for just $1. Really? Really! Keep reading to see how.
Using Amwell is easy. The first thing you do is fill out your personal information, including a telephone number where the doctor can get ahold of you if the call disconnects. Then you'll type in which pharmacy it is close to your home that you use, in case you need a prescription (I did need one and got it very quickly!). You'll connect your call. This can be done via computer or smart phone, iPad, etc., or you if you prefer, you can just have a telephone conversation.

The service will pull up the providers that are available to talk online. There is always a board certified physician available to speak with you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (yeah, no more doctor's hours to work around, hurray!). Doctors on Amwell have been in business an average of 15 years, so you're also getting experience.

You'll get to choose your doctor. If you only want to speak to a female or male doctor, you can do that, or you can just go with the first provider who becomes available. I went with Dr. Hacking.

He was great! And very patient, with the patient. ;) First and foremost, my microphone decided not to work, so Dr. Hacking could see me, I could hear him, but he couldn't hear me. There is a typing feature you can use, so I was writing things out when he put a finger up to hold on. He called me. ;) Smart man. I explained my symptoms to him, told him my self-diagnosis, and showed him the results of a store-bought test I'd purchased at the store, to confirm I was correct with my suspicions. Without boring you to tears, I'll just say I thought I had a UTI. I'd never had one before, but I know the symptoms (so someone around must have had one at one point in time). The at-home test confirmed it. I asked him a few questions, to which he knew all the answers (I also wondered if cranberry juice was a way to treat, he assured me it was better to use as an aid in prevention). The only thing I forgot to ask him was if UTIs are common after you have a hysterectomy. Dang it! Note to self: write down anything you want to ask before calling!

Then...my phone cut out. I have no idea why, other than Murphy's Law. I thought all was lost. I called back the desk service and they assured me they could reconnect me. While they were researching my information to do so, Dr. Hacking rang in. :)  He wrote me the prescription I needed, I picked it up the next day at my local pharmacy, and all was well!!  I was diagnosed and treated, and never had to step foot into a doctor's office. Now THAT'S convenient!! To say I loved my experience with Amwell would be an understatement. Do you know how much time something like this could save me? or you? Anyone!

TRY IT FOR JUST $1.00!!

The price is reasonable too, even more reasonable if you are a first time visitor because I have an awesome coupon for you! Amwell is positioning itself to be the "Amazon" of medical care, and after using them I can definitely see how that could come into play. As an initiative to get you to see what all the buzz is about, Amwell is offering all of my readers the chance to try the service for just $1 by using the code HEALTHY27. If you have a medical need that can be handled in such a manner, now is the time to give this service a go! You certainly can't beat the price. A doctor's visit for less than the price of an apple. That's amazing. :) Learn more about Amwell by visiting their website, and if you visit the doctor with this code, and want to share how it went, I'd definitely love hear about it!

  9. I used this service a few weeks ago! I couldn't get out to the doctor with my 4 babies and did a $1 over the phone visit (the software for the video wouldn't download for me fast enough)and he called in a much-needed antibiotic for me. The whole visit was $1, which is less then the $15 copay I have at my doctor's office!

  14. What a great way to get medical care from the convenience of your own home. There are times that going to a doctors office isn't the best idea. Contagious illnesses and the like. This rocks.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

If only they could give me my flu shot too, my primary would never see me again! LOL :-)
