10 Things I'm Loving This Summer! All Items $30 and Under (most for much less)!!

Our family has been doing quite a few things this summer, making it one of our best ever yet!! Along the way we've also been sent some products to test out and see how we feel about them. Some I like, some I don't. I'm going to list my top 10 favorites here, and you can see if you might like them too. Please note, these are in no particular order of favoritism, as they are all very different from one another...the common bond they have is that they're all just items I like owning.

The Sip & Spin Cup has a pinwheel that spins every time you take a drink.
#1. The Sip & Spin Cup. It's a simple concept really, you sip, the pinwheel on the top of the cup spins, and it's brilliant. What little one wouldn't love having their very own pinwheel in a cup whenever they wanted something to drink? My granddaughter loves hers, and her mom said it's fast become her favorite cup. I'm glad she likes it, and I suspected she would. Grandma's are good at guessing these things, you know.  :)   She already likes to drink water and eat healthy, but if your child is resistant to water as a drink, making this the 'water cup' could increase her/his (there is a boy version too) intake by a whole lot. :)

Sip & Spin Fun Straw Cup
  • Makes it fun to drink water – wow it’s spinning!
  • Sip to spin the pinwheel – the butterflies soar around the flower
  • Motivate more water instead of sugary drinks; Ease feeding aversions and other feeding disorders
  • Easy to drink from, simple to clean, and durable; Dishwasher safe
  • Valve-free straws for better dental health, speech development, and hygiene; Free of BPA, Phthalates, PVC, Nitrosamines, Latex, and Lead
  • Contains 1 cup, 1 lid, 1 Sip & Spin straw, 1 (bonus) Zoomi straw; For 1 year and older; Able play rated for special needs kids
These 7th Heaven Peel Off Masks are Awesome & they cost under $5 a piece!
#2 The 7th Heaven Green Tea Peel-Off mask is just what the doctor ordered for a little me-time. The heat this time of year can be harsh on our skin, and what better way to replenish than with a little down time & pampering. These kinds of masks are my favorite, they actually feel like they put moisture back into your skin. I like to peel way better than I like to wash off mud (though 7th Heaven has mud and self-heat spa masks as well). These are clear and you can feel them working to invigorate your skin. I say buy one of these for every gal you know, invite them over and have a Girl's Day.

Peel Off masks are gentler and more effective than scrubs whilst leaving skin incredibly purified and smooth. You'll be amazed at how many dead skin cells show up on the mask after use. So why not jazz up your weekly scrub routine and use a peel off instead!

Dap RapidFuse has fixed more things for us this summer than I can count!
#3 Dap RapidFuse has been such a big help to us this summer. First and foremost, my son's glasses broke, through no fault of his own. They weren't built strong to start with, having just a teeny piece of metal inside of an even smaller opening, that was supposed to stay in place forever more...with anyone that would be hard. With an 8-year-old: impossible. Kids like to move!! So I did get him new glasses, that have plastic frames, but the RapidFuse bonded them long enough for him to still have glasses until the new ones arrived. Now just to note, the glasses did break again after a week or so, but that wasn't the fault of the adhesive. Like I said, those glasses were terrible construction from the get-go. The all-purpose adhesive did last long enough though, and for that I am grateful. That aside, we've fixed many other things that have held up, including my beloved dragonfly stick for the yard that my niece got her sweet 3-year-old-hands on and broke. ;)  Dap makes an awesome adhesive, I love it!

RapidFuse™ All-Purpose Adhesive provides a fast-setting, professional-strength, clear bond that's 40% stronger than other glues* without the expanding foam or dripping glue mess.
Appropriate for indoor or outdoor use, RapidFuse works on most common household materials, from wood, metal, rubber, plastics, ceramics + porcelain, to glass, fabric, stone, concrete, tile + more.
  • FIX IT FAST—sets in 30 seconds, cures in 30 minutes, repositionable up to 3 minutes
  • FIX IT RIGHT—40% stronger than tough polyurethane glues*, 2X more durable than instant glues, bonds clear
  • No Foam, No Dripping, No MESS
Interior/Exterior Use | Fine-Tip Applicator

Bonds Virtually Everything to ANYTHING:

*40% Stronger than polyurethane glues based on averaging strength on ABS plastic, polycarbonate, white oak, rubber, and steel. 2X more durable than traditional cyanoacrylates.

No Ad is always our go-to sunscreen for the kids!
#4 No-Ad is our go-to sunscreen and has been for as long as I can remember. Here in south Florida, the summers get HOT, and the kids are outside, a lot!! I want to make sure they're protected head to toe with something I can trust. Ad Sense does the job well. I'm happy to say (knock on wood) that my kids have never gotten a burn, not even a little bit, while using it. It comes in big bottles, little bottles, different spf's, sprays, and even a stick. My son recently took a bottle to camp (swimming day) and the bottle didn't come back. I was in mourning. ;)  Luckily, I can and did, pick up a new bottle the next time I went shopping. It's reasonably priced and the best sunscreen around for protecting precious skin.

Great for sensitive skin. The entire NO-AD line is now paraben-free, retinyl palmitate-free.? And baby products are fragrance-free, oil and dye-free, hypoallergenic and enriched with cocoa seed butter and vitamins. Organic beeswax allows the stick to apply super smoothly unlike other baby sunscreen sticks that drag on delicate skin. Lower cost per ounce than national brands.  NO-AD costs less because "no advertising" means it doesn't buy expensive TV, print, and radio ads.

Acquarella Nail Polish is fragrance-free and non-toxic

#5 Acquarella Beauty Products. Items that strengthen your nails, color that lasts a long time, a file and the nail polish is fragrance-free and non-toxic too..what's not to love??!! This is a brand I had never seen around, now it's one I look for to buy. The white bottle you see is a conditioner. If you're looking for a higher-end brand of polish, this is one I personally found to be top-notch. It's one of my absolute favorites. They have some great colors out for summer too; colors you don't find just everywhere.

Weleda.com has so many great beauty products,
including this Almond line for your face
#6. Weleda makes an excellent line of products for your face that I thought I would mention too. The slight almond scent in the product I received for my face was very pleasant and felt refreshing. I think scents really do have the ability to soothe, and the slight scent of almonds makes me happy. You can get items for your face in any form, lotion, oil or cream. The product feels high quality and does what it says (soothes your skin). I wouldn't mind shopping around to see what else they have. They certainly don't lack variety on their website. Take a look for yourself if you have a minute. They have a ton of great sounding beauty products for sale.

  • Hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and 100% natural
  • Intensive cream that deeply moisturizes and calms dry, sensitive skin
  • Restores skin’s natural balance and strengthens its protective barrier

Bausc Sweet Mint Lip Balm. Just the right amount of mint!

#7. Sweet Mint Lip Balm from Bausc. This is a non-waxy formula that is light and natural. It keeps your lips moist even in the worst of heat. I have this in my purse so it's always at the ready when  I need it.

Ingredients: prunus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, cannabis sativa (hemp) seed oil, ricinus communis seed (castor) oil, beeswax, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), theolroma cacao seed (cocoa) butter, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E),menthe piperita (peppermint) oil.

Pebblebee lets you take selfies, text friends, track items and more!

#8. Pebblebee This is one of the most expensive, but still reasonably priced items on the list, considering all that it does. The Pebblebee Stone is easy to use: download the app on your iPhone or Android device. Set up your Stone. The directions will walk you through how to do it. The stone has a tracking mode, so you can find whatever it is you have stuck it to... but it does so much more than that alone! You can text friends, control your music, snap selfies with it and more. The uses for this are numerous and once you get the hang of it you'll wonder how you lived without it.

#9. Shoe Slotz I hate trying to find a good place to store my shoes. They're either unattractively sitting around in a bunch, or they're lined up taking up way too much space on the closet floor. I don't like the see-through plastic pouches (just a personal preference), and when they're on a closet shelf, there's no room left for anything else.

The solution? Shoe Slotz. what a lovely invention. They double the storage space in your closet instantly and they keep your heels from getting scuffed or marked up). I like this idea! I like my Shoe Slotz. :)

Mytee Scoopy traps condensation!

#10. My Mytee Scoopy Condensation Squeegee. Don't laugh, this thing comes in handy in more ways than you would think. It's perfect for cleaning the turtle's tank, works great on the regular windows, and it keeps condensation from running on the sill and ruining the wood. I think every house should have one of these. It's easy to store too because it's small! My kids laugh at me for getting excited about my Mytee Scoopy but you can bet any time there's  a need for it, they're the first ones to want to go grab it.

SCOOPY was invented in New Zealand as a way to deal with the annoying condensation that forms on windows during Winter months.  That condensation is caused by warm air meeting cold air.  This could take place on an exterior window, on a shower door, on a mirror, on a wall...the list goes on and on.  If the water is left to drip down to the bottom, it could cause nasty mildew stains, which are ugly and potentially harmful.  You could use a conventional squeegee, but the water is just going to pool at the bottom, so what's the point?  You could use a towel, but who wants to do more laundry?  De-humidifier - too expensive!  SCOOPY helps you get rid of that water without puddles of water on your window sill, without extra laundry, and without the cost of a de-humidifying system!

And there you have it. My list of summer faves. :)  Have you tried any on the list? Would you? What's your favorite?  I can't pick a fave because they're all so different from one another. I can say I recommend each and everything thing though, that's on the list. :)
