The night before last we met good friends for dinner at a restaurant. Having gone out of town for Christmas this year, we missed our annual 'holiday get-together' with them. This particular set of friends lives a pretty good distance from our home, and consequently we only see them a few times a year. They were pretty surprised to see how tall my youngest has gotten, and they were instantly enamored with the Denim Cool Beats outfit we selected for him this month from FabKids.com.
FabKids Boombox Graphic Tee
The Denim Cool Beats outfit comes with the long-sleeved Boombox Graphic Tee pictured above. I loved the bright blue on this one, and the retro boombox made it cool for him, and for us! Most people from my generation remember popping a cassette tape into a boombox and kickin' out the jams. That's what this picture reminds me of, and that makes me smile. Those were fun times...and music was the world!
FabKids Classic Straight Denim
in medium wash
The outfit also comes with the Classic Straight Denim bottoms. These pants are heavy-duty denim (great for the winter!), and they come in either light or medium wash. This is the medium wash pictured above.
What sells me on FabKids is not that their selections look great (and they always do!), but that they are made to last. We have a few of their outfits, and each and every one of them has been washed over and over again, with no fading or wear to show for it. That means better value for your money, and who doesn't love that?
Fun options are always integrated into the clothing too-
such as the 'Have a Rad Day' sign printed on the inside of the waistband.
Practical waist adjustment elastic on the inside of the pants.
I also love that FabKids has a built-in waist adjuster (elastic) on the inside of the pants. My son is the right height for his age, but he's very thin. In order to get pants that are long enough for him, but still fit at the waist, I always look for the waist adjuster. That way I can simply pull the elastic on each side, several button notches, and woohoo, a perfect fit (up and down, and around!).
See that box barely visible in the top-left corner?
Back to the restaurant, we had a grand old time visiting our friends. And do you see that gift-wrapped box in the corner of the picture above? You can just barely make it out on the top left...
That box had a remote-control car in it for little man.
Remote control cars, lead to very happy faces in our house. ;)
Inside that box was a remote-control, climb-anything car for a certain FabKids-wearing fab kid that I know. ;) Let's just say, remote-control cars make for happy smiles in our house. :) That, and our visit last night with grandma and grandpa coming over officially concluded our holiday. It was a long holiday season for us, and a bit unusual at that, considering we traveled, but it was still awesome. I'm happy FabKids was a part of it.
FabKids is a monthly subscription service that allows you to select an outfit of choice, and have it delivered right to your doorstep. Each month you are charged (unless you don't want to be!) the pre-designated amount for an outfit. The credit goes into your FabKids account, and you can order any outfit of choice, when you want to order it. In any given month, if you don't want to be charged for an outfit, you simply note that by the due date (the due date to say you don't want to order anything for the month). There's no obligation or minimum number of anything to buy, ever! And you get what you want, when you want it. It's as easy as that, really, and we love it!
Founded in part by actress Christina Applegate, the FabKids line of clothing is fresh, stylish, and fun. And in addition to that, they've always got some great deals going on over at their website. Right now they're offering 20% off the first outfit or item for new members (membership is free).
