Sometimes the fun things are the simple things, like The Story of Christmas activity book we received from Ideals Books. We took this with us to a restaurant recently, and worked on it while we were waiting for our dinner to arrive.

The story of Christmas is on the inside of the activity book
This activity book is one of Ideals Books many new releases for the holiday season. It is not a big book, it's about the size of a thin magazine, but it's packed full of fun and has a great rendition of the Christmas Story inside.

Colorful pictures that appeal to the children.
The pictures are colorful, and very appealing to children.

The Christmas Story activity book has stickers!
There are stickers. My youngest child is overly enthused about any book that includes stickers, and this one delivered well. There are stickers to put on the pages (they are numbered to make it easy), and there are 'extra' stickers to put anywhere you think they would look good throughout the book.

Easy open spaces to color.
You will also find pages that encourage you to color, do mazes, and connect dot-to-dots.

My son had his Kindle Fire with him (we leave it in the car for him to take to restaurants sometimes) and he didn't touch it once. This was more fun for him.

We brought ours to the restaurant and worked on it while we were waiting for
our dinner to arrive.
I like simple, fun things that engage the kids and make learning fun.  My son had a great time with his book.

Ideals Books has a most excellent, very affordable list of new (holiday) releases that include such family favorites as Frosty the Snowman and Veggie Tales. You can find that list here.

It's good to see a book that actually deals with the history of Christmas. It seems so many want to wipe Christ completely out of the U.S., to include Christmas. I love this.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

I love the Ideals Christmas book. When I saw it on the page, it brought tears to my eyes. My grandmother used to get them and we would read them together. (I'm now 58) Thanks for this giveaway. My granddaughter would love this book.

Aww, Jane, that's sweet! I love Christmas memories like that one! I get like that when I'm decorating the tree with my kids...I always think of my gram, which is who I decorated with when I was a girl. :)

I re-arranged the room that we put the tree up in to get ready. Hubby likes to wait until the day after Thanksgiving, but I'm getting things ready so it'll be easy when that day comes. :)
