It's Shark Week and Fossilera is having a sale on shark teeth!

I think many of us have been in search of shark teeth or have seen them, either on a beach or for sale in a gift shop. Here we can find them in Jupiter, Florida where there just seems to be so many of them! It never gets old for the kids to find and collect them. They get super excited, even the older kids! We never know what kind of shark the teeth are from though, so I love Fossilera for being able to check and compare what we have to what they have. Of course, once there, we come across others that we want to own. Their selection is huge (and they have the best polished rocks and crystals too, but that's a post for a different day seriously though, go check those out too).

The prices range from very low $ to in the thousands $$$ and everything in between. The website is a shark tooth collector's dream. It's also a great place to go to get a tooth to celebrate Shark Week! Imagine the surprise of your child to get a package with one of these in it? I know my boys would be excited, but it's probably my daughter who would ilke one best!! She's been a shark tooth hunter since way back.

Fossilera also has Megalodon Teeth for sale. These are the ones that fascinate me. We stood inside the jaws of one once at a museum and we definitely felt thwarted. It is said that the Megalodon was three times longer than the longest Great White Shark on record. Of course since they are long extinct, that information, along with other facts about the Megalodon comes in large part from the study of what still remains from them, their teeth!

If you like what you see here, be sure to move quickly because the inventory sells out fast (and I'm sure that will be even more true during this week, because of Shark Week). Thankfully, they update with new items as quickly as the inventory is sold. You'll know if it's been sold because it will say it on the photo.

Shark Week Sale!

In celebration of Shark Week, Fossilera has marked all items down by 10%. There is no code needed, you will see the discounted price displayed on the picture, alongside the original price (which will be crossed out). This sale runs throug July 18th.

  11. I absolutely love this kind of stuff. I actually think it is because my grandparents really encouraged science & history, especially America history... like I went to Laura Ingall's Wilders child hood home and lots of trips like that. I just love all things pertaining to those two subjects and I have a curio collection of mineral, fossils and such and these will make a great addition ;)

  13. This seems like a more fun way to encounter shark teeth than up close and personal with a shark LOL. I don't think I would even know a shark tooth if I found one on the beach. I'd think it was just an odd rock.

  15. I typically hear about shark week after shark week. I don’t have cable, so I can see how it slips by me.
