The pyramid in front of Louvre in Paris, France (my favorite art museum in the world to visit!). |
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio The same architect, I.M.. Pei, did both... I find the contrast of locations surprising. Cool, but surprising. :) |
nice...we have been there...what a cool place...the rock n roll hall of fame at least....ha. there is a comparison to be made between the two right? ha
ReplyDeleteNow this is a cool post. You are most clever.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ☺
This is such a neat comparison!
ReplyDeleteThat is really wild when you think about it. I wonder if the same guy built the one that used to be in Memphis?
ReplyDeleteI like the comparison but i would go for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame everytime heheh!
ReplyDeleteHave a elvistastic week Rosey :-)
I think that glass is such a great material to use in different areas as they adapt to their environment! Amazing structures =)
ReplyDeleteThat is actually a pretty funny comparison. Close up, I would never be able to tell which was which!
ReplyDeleteWow that is so interesting! Love the photos.
ReplyDeleteLove this comparison and yet I have not seen either in person though myself.
ReplyDeleteLooks the same to me. Good thing they don't speak French in Cleveland.
ReplyDeleteSuch an interesting comparison! I think I'd rather visit Paris, though. We had our honeymoon there!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up over at Toronto Teacher Mom!
It really does look the same! I haven't been to either, but would love to go to both!
ReplyDeleteThat's cool! I really wish I could travel more. Maybe when my kids are older.
ReplyDeleteGood one! I wasn't expecting this at all. Then again I have never been to Cleveland, so I didn't know what it was going to be :-)
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I love this! Who would have guessed?
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteWhat presence of mind to be able to go back n forth, Rosey.
Honestly never been to paris or Cleveland to be able to connect the dots, but you have increased my knowledge :)
Pleasure to have you on board!
Ha, ha, I noticed this too, though the Louvre one is more elegant somehow.
ReplyDeleteWhat, that is crazy? Crazy cool! I never in a million years would have thought there'd be a connection.
ReplyDeleteThat is too cool! I had no idea that the same architect did both of these pyramids.
ReplyDeleteHe did a great job either way
ReplyDeleteInteresting comparison of Paris and Cleveland. Not many have compared Ohio and France in the same blog post.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. The Seattle Sky Dome and the Rogers Centre in Toronto are quite similar too but not as similar as The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Pyramid in France.
ReplyDeleteKind of odd being in two totally different spots, yet the same. But I guess that's his claim to fame
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool comparison, both fantastic pyramids as well! x
ReplyDeleteGood one. Both great pyramids
ReplyDeleteJulie
Thank you for linking up with #wordlesswednesday

No way! Great comparison shots! I never would've thought...
ReplyDeleteI can see the similarity! That's a good catch!
ReplyDeleteDid he build the pyramids in Egypt, too?
ReplyDeleteHe's not old enough to take credit for that, Binky. ;)
DeleteI've been to both cities. Even with this comparable architecture, Paris has an ancestral beauty. Cleveland has the America beauty.
ReplyDeleteRight! I agree. And I like them both equally. :)
DeleteWow! That is interesting that both are so similar. I have never visited either, but that architect's work is very cool to look at.
ReplyDeleteHow interesting! I've never been to either place, but I think I'd prefer Paris ;)
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful pictures. What great comparisons to both the pyramids.
ReplyDeleteMichelle F.
That is quite interesting to say the least! Guess we can stay right here and see the pyramid designs of this architect!!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure Parisians would be offended at the contrast (they can be a bit snooty), but I think you have a good eye to catch the comparison!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2015/02/bathing-in-bubble.html
That is pretty cool Rosey... although I would still love to see the one in Paris... mainly because I want to travel all over Europe :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the sweet comment... I don't like my picture being taken but I also realize I should for my family xox
Loving the new picture, Launna!! You look great!
Deletethat is some comparison .. I would love to see both of them live for sure :)
ReplyDeleteBikram's
That's pretty cool! I've never been to either place but I'd love to go to both!
ReplyDeleteWow that's amazing what great shots! Who knew, I didn't at all! Very cool. I haven't been to either, would love to!
ReplyDeleteWow! So similar! I have to say, I'd rather go to Paris, though LOL
ReplyDeleteI love both cities! I love bigger cities and would love to live in either if I had the chance one day.
ReplyDeleteClever - but you needed to show the lake in the background! As a former NE Ohioan, we thank you for the positive attention and for the fact that you didn't mention that the river caught fire in Cleveland at one time. That has been over done...

There was a big beautiful ship out there on the water too. I got a picture for our photo album. :)
DeleteThat is really interesting that the same architect did both. What a vast difference in locations!
ReplyDeleteThat's so neat! I've been to the Louvre in Paris, but not the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Did you know, the Statue of Liberty was built in France?
ReplyDeleteI did know that, and that the architect of the two pyramids in this post was awarded the Medal of Liberty AT the Statue of Liberty. Another small but fun connector...almost like the Kevin Bacon game, right? :)
DeleteI love that we have the Rock and Roll HOF so close and that it was designed by such a famous architect! It is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit the ROR Hall of Fame...and Paris! Thanks for sharing with the Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteParis is on my vacation wish list. I wanna go so bad! The Rock & Roll HOF looks great!
ReplyDeleteWow. I can't decide which one looks better....
ReplyDeleteBut that is so cool!
I've never been to either, but would love to go to both!!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is is similar. I like how you found out this similarity
ReplyDeleteThat is really neat! I'd never think of those 2 cities having anything in common. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhen we went to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame there was a little vendor set up selling prints of the buildings. I had no idea what it was or who they were at the time. The line was fairly long and we kept walking. Now that I see this post, I know now what it was.
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Paris, France. I have been to the Paris in Las Vegas and also to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It is a Cleveland Must See!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very cool comparison. Have you been to both places? (I haven't been to either...I was just curios).
ReplyDeleteWe have been to, and liked both, very much. :)
DeleteWhat a cool comparison... I never would h ave thought they were comparable at all!
ReplyDeleteInteresting comparison! never been to either.
ReplyDeleteWho would have guessed at that comparison. I agree, pretty cool! I've actually been to Paris, but never to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame - go figure!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat comparison. I've been to Paris and would love to see the Ohio one.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting - and pyramids seem to have such an appeal - I love the way you shared this on your' Wordless Wednesday'
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting! Sure makes it feel like a smaller world doesn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteHow neat. I never knew these existed in both places.
ReplyDeleteWow, I was going to say there is no comparison, but that is so cool. I was in the Rock n. Roll hall of Fame, and I'll tell you it's so very cool & the same architect did it? That's even cooler. Thanks for sharing I can't wait to tell the hubby! hehehe Have a great weekend my friend. Sorry for being so late, but better late than never I always say~! HUGS
ReplyDeleteVery cool. I would imagine that might be the only similarity but I have never been to Paris, so I really cannot judge :)
ReplyDeleteNice ;)
ReplyDeleteMarc would LOVE to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!
