There’s just something magical about summertime, isn’t there? The longer days, the laughter outside, sticky popsicle fingers, and precious extra moments with our littles who are home from school. As a parent, and now grandparent, I’m always looking for meaningful ways to make memories while helping my grandbabies grow in their faith.
This summer, why not make a special commitment to spend a little time each day in God’s Word? If that sounds ideal, I’m so excited to share some wonderful resources to help.
The Explorer Bible for Kids is designed for curious young minds and helps children discover the incredible stories, people, and truths found throughout Scripture. Kids will love exploring all the interesting facts and learning new things about the Bible in ways that make sense to them.
Then, there's the brand-new Explorer Bible Dictionary for Kids. If your little ones have ever asked questions like, “What does that word mean?” or “Who is that person?” this dictionary is a wonderful companion. It helps bring the Bible to life by explaining important words, places, and concepts in a totally kid-friendly way.
Another fun addition for the summer routine is Scripture Memory Cards. Keep them handy at the kitchen or living room table and even take them along on outings. They provide a simple and enjoyable way to encourage more of God’s Word in their hearts while also allowing you to create special moments together.
My goal this summer isn’t perfection. It’s simply to build joyful Bible study habits as a family. Sound right and good? If so, remember that even a few minutes each day can make a lasting difference. Whether you’re reading together on the porch, discussing a Bible story over lunch, or practicing a memory verse before bedtime, these moments can easily become one of your most favored parts of the day.
If you’re looking for ways to encourage your children or grandchildren to spend time in Scripture this summer, I highly recommend checking out these wonderful resources.
