Pick Your Toy Giveaway

Disclosure: I received free products or discount codes to purchase them. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

I have done a giveaway like this each month and it has been predictably popular. Ya'll love your toy giveaways (as do I), so I've decided to post one more to round up summer vacation. Above you see 9 toys, and one lucky winner will get to choose which one they would like to own. All of them are fabulous and even if you don't enter the giveaway, they're worth checking out. These would be great purchases to help your kids defeat any summer boredom them might be complaining about right now too (it always cracks me up that the kids can't wait to get out of school and then it isn't very long at all before you hear them saying, 'I'm bored.'). I just heard a girl telling her mom that at the grocery store today, and thought I'd go ahead and make this giveaway. You can buy any of these online at retail stores everywhere, or you can order online and have your wee littles looking forward to a package delivery.

I'll talk a little about each one so you can better understand the choices. They are in no particular order (I love them all!). The Story Time Chess is the perfect game to gift children whose parents or older siblings like to play Chess but they don't know how to do so yet themselves. It lays out the rules in an easy story time format that the kids can understand, so they'll pick up the fundamentals of the game in no time flat. This ever popular game teaches kids as early as 3-years-old, which is quite the feat. Plus it is a fun version for anyone who enjoys the game. I have four children, all of whom like Chess, and two of whom love it. Now three of those (grown) kids have kids of their own, so this is game that will get used time and time again in our family. Another thing to note is it won the People's Choice Winner for Toy of the Year in 2021.

Story Time Chess is the ONLY game in the world that can teach chess to children as young as three years old. Story Time Chess utilizes a cast of adorable characters through a series of fun and interactive stories in order to progressively teach children how to play chess. The stories focus on why chess pieces move in their own unique ways and are supported by activities that cement chess knowledge in your child’s mind. Ages 3+ MSRP of $49.99

Sweet Candy Perfume Lab. I have been on a perfume kick lately, boy have I...for about a year now, but that's a story for a different post, so to be able to make perfume with my granddaughters (and I have four of them) when they come to visit is a very special and fun memory for us. When the adults enjoy the toy, there's no limit to the amount of fun that's going on, and that's actually the case for every toy choice in this post, but the perfume kit has a special place in my heart. Plus it's from Thames & Kosmos, so you know the quality is good.

This kit is a complete perfumer’s laboratory with six candy-themed fragrances, a special workstation, and all the tools and containers you need to make more than 24 sweet-smelling perfume combinations. Build your personalized fragrance, choosing from the essences of peppermint, chocolate, vanilla, lemon, cinnamon, and cotton candy. Once you have perfected your scent, store it in the deluxe perfume bottle, adorably shaped like a wrapped hard candy. The full-color manual is packed with information about the biology of smell, the chemistry of scents, and the art of making perfumes. For ages 8+ | MSRP $29.95

Another Thames & Kosmos kit that made this list is their Yummy Rainbow Lip Balm Lab. All of the little girls who are big enough to know what it is, love lip balm in our family, including my nieces!! This kit gives you all of the ingredients needed to make six lip balms and two lip gloss rollerballs. That's exciting!! No summer brain drain over here. We've got our kids thinking and creating; they're making fun things that they love. Imagine how excited your child will be to show these off to friends and family, or to sit down and make with their loved ones. Fun! Fun!

Mix up a rainbow of mouth-wateringly delicious lip balms and lip glosses. Experiment with a vibrant spectrum of colors and flavors to create your own personalized lip products. This cosmetics laboratory includes a special workstation and all the ingredients, containers, and tools you need to make up to six lip balms in clear plastic jars and two lip glosses in glass rollerball-applicator bottles. A full-color manual guides you through the process of making lip balms and glosses and provides detailed information about the science behind these products. Thoroughly tested to the highest standards for cosmetic and toy safety. For ages 8+ | MSRP $29.95

Magformers are very popular, in fact I see them most everywhere I go that has toys. They're a bit pricey but they're worth it because they're built with one of the best magnets you can buy (it floats inside of the plastic pieces) and they last forever. They also hold appeal across so many age groups. Build a backyard the way you like it with this Magformers Backyard Adventure Set. An extra touch with this one is the flower lights up. So cool. My grandbabes love anything that lights up. These kits are special and this is one of the best I've seen from an already fantastic line.

Click! Connect Create! With Magformers Backyard Adventure 61Pc Set. Build magnetic houses and invite all your friends to the party! Create houses and build a playground! Add your favorite characters including Max, Maggie and Minibot. Where will your imagination take you!? Includes Idea Booklet. Ages: 3+. MSRP: $74.99.

Another building kit that I have been introduced to recently is Tileblox. This 14 pc. set is good to take on the go and perfect for tucking into a diaper bag or on-the-go backpack. I think it would be really good to take in the car.

Tileblox Rainbow 14Pc set is great for builders looking to begin learning to build and create. Use 6 different colored triangles and 8 squares to create your own small house or cube. A perfect introduction to TileBlox and a great addition to your collection. Each geometric shape contains magnets that let you build with endless possibilities! TileBlox is perfect for STEM education and when playtime is over, use the magnetic power to simply stack and store. Ages 3+. MSRP: $14.99.

This Stick-O kit was a huge surprise for me. It is so cute, but the quality is what sold me. The pieces are very heavy and not going to break or bend during use. I'm not kidding, these pieces are solid. I have another Stick-O Kit that my granddaughter loves in her little shopping cart that stays at grandmamas (it is food pieces). I know she'll be delighted/surprised to see this little kit in the house. A new one to play with, that won't go in the shopping cart. :)

With the Stick-O City 16 Piece Set, kids can construct their very own busy city. Toddler can build a car, racer, airplane and more with the City 16Pc Set . Included in this kit is 1 Sphere, 2 Stick, 3 Long Stick and magnetic accessories including vehicle wheels, wings, and propellers. MSRP $24.99; ages 36m+.

The Big Box of Science from Ooze Labs is a great item to help avoid brain drain over the summer. When I see something like this, I think of my youngest son's science teacher from a year ago. He wasn't big on Science. He didn't hate it or anything, but there was no big love for it either. She changed all of that with her fun, hands-on class. The kit comes with five tubes to create things that snow, glow, flow, grow and show. :) My favorite? The glow in the dark slime.

Explore the greatest hits of the Ooze Labs series along with some cool new experiments. Outfit your chem lab with five big and sturdy plastic test tubes and a test tube rack to hold them, and then launch into your exciting explorations: Super-Expanding Instant Snow, Thermocolor Slime, Glow-in-the-Dark Slime, Quicksand Oozebleck, and Fast-forming Crystal Feather. For ages 6+ | MSRP $24.95

Crazy Aaron's makes the best thinking putty. Seriously. Take a look at their website and you'll see that they have so many varieties to offer. This is a sturdy putty too, not one that's going to fall apart with repeated use. We've been fans of this brand for a long time.

Commonly known as quicksilver, mercury is the only metallic element that is a liquid at room temperature. It’s a heavy, silver-colored metal that has been historically used for temperature gauges and electrical applications because of its conductive properties. Just like its namesake, Quicksilver Thinking Putty® is a saturated silver color with dark streaks throughout. Use the included magnet to discover the unique properties of this putty for yourself. Ages 8+ MSRP $15.00

Land of Dough. These containers are cute and little (they remind me of ice cream cups). They are also the most eco-friendly play putty/doughs on the planet, and they also originated from Crazy Aaron's. They come in cups with little wood spoons. The presentation is everything check out their website, to see it to believe it. These are adorable and would make perfect gift ideas or party favors. Some of them have designs, like a fancy flamingo, bacon and eggs, and a treasure island. My favorite is the pink you see above, but that's because I'm a huge fan of glitter.

Handcrafted in the USA, our small team mixes, designs, and creates each product by hand. All Land of Dough products are shipped in compostable packaging from our location on Main Street, USA.

There's a Giveaway!

One lucky winner gets to choose their favorite toy from above. US entrants only. Good luck to all who enter.
