Lucky 7! Top Easter Basket Picks with Hello Kitty Plush Throw Giveaway

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Hard to believe Easter is on its way, but it surely is. We are already a little over a week into March and Spring Break is just around the corner. Easter will hop on in right after that, and I am happy to say this year, I am ready early! Later this week I will put up my favorite 2 non-candy (but edible) Easter Basket picks, as well as one more post for a great gift idea (that will also have a giveaway!). For now though, these are my top 7 picks for filling up the kiddos Easter Baskets this year!

1). Eggmazing. During the Christmas holiday season I wrote about a great little machine that colored plastic ornaments for the tree. You held the marker and chose how thin or fat the colors would be (you can read that review here). The same company also has an EggMazing kit that decorates your Easter Eggs for you. This is a fun item for the upcoming festivities, and I am excited about it. My oldest granddaughter will be coming to visit this weekend, and we'll be talking about this for sure. I'm going to ask her if she wants grandma (that would be me) to boil up some eggs right away, or if she wants to take it home for Easter. She's pretty big on crafts, so I'm guessing she'll want to do it right away, but she is also getting older and exerting more patience with things, so maybe she'll want to take it back to her place and use it closer to the big day. We shall see!

The EggMazing is fun without the mess, and I'd much rather use this with younger children than messy dye!

  • ✅NO DYES - NO SMELLS! it's all the fun without the mess. Comes with 8 colorful markers allowing you to create endless designs.
  • ✅The EggMazing egg decorator will CHANGE the way FAMILIES decorate their Easter eggs
  • ✅Great DIY craft, SPIN hard boiled eggs, ADD beautiful colorful STRIPES
  • ✅EXCITING! there is no other egg decorating product on the market like the EggMazing egg decorator
  • ✅For best results, please use EXTRA LARGE eggs, Requires 4 AA batteries (not included)

You can buy this kit in retail stores, or online at the Eggmazing website or Amazon.

2). Bumkins. These festive bags are PERFECT for an Easter Basket because they are cute and show well, but are also something that can be used year-round. I wanted to put these in the Easter Basket, but I know my daughter could use them now, so I offered this up just a bit early.

I like to go visit my daughter and baby grand #2. When I go, I like to take useful gifts that I know will be used, like the Bumkins reusable snack and sandwich bags you see above. These bags come to you in 3 different sizes, and are made from a single layer of easy-dry fabric that you can put in the washing machine, the top shelf of the dishwasher, or you can simply wipe them to keep them clean. The fabric is stain-proof, and lab-tested to be food-safe. They are also BPA-free, PVC-free, vinyl-free, phthalate-free, and lead-free.

My daughter lives on a farm right now. They rent a little house that sits on the property; it's a barn, actually, that has been renovated into a little house. It's cute, and on the property, that is huge, there are a lot of animals. Some of them are very unique, and fan-tas-tic, and while my boy likes them, they're not what interests him most. You can tell he's looking down in the photo above because he's distracted by one of the many cats that also roam the property (one followed us once everywhere we went, like a tour guide, lol), and that is what interests him most. In fact, I think he looks forward to seeing the felines roaming the property as much as he does visiting his sis.

What can I say? This child is a cat lover through and through...but back to the snack bags. Because it is not easy for my daughter to just return home once they leave, I know that she'll use these time and time again to bring little snackies along for the baby girl when they're on the move. In fact, if they're just going to various places on the farm, which we do when we visit, these are convenient for that too. Anyone who has been on a big farm knows that it really isn't just a hop, skip and a jump to get back to the main house. 🏡 Having the snack bags along will help them to be able to stay gone from home longer, as they explore the land and watch the many animals that are roaming about. My recent favorite encounter while there was with some of the peacocks who jumped in the big, beautiful tree. I'd left my camera back at my daughter's place, but surely when I saw them, I wished I'd have brought it along. These bags are not only convenient, they are also wonderful for the following reasons:

There are a lot of different designs to choose from too (super heroes, Zelda, Micky Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Toy Story characters, etc.), including this adorable set with Hello Kitty on it. You can learn more about these bags by visiting the Bumkins website, and/or Amazon. Again, they are great for tucking into an Easter Basket!

3). Bumkins Silicone Bib. Bumpkin sells a lot of great items for baby girl, and while we're talking about the Hello Kitty theme, let me introduce this great silicone bib that I also brought along for my sweet baby grand. Not only would this make a great item for any Easter Basket for a small child, but it would also be great for the big dinner that is typically served on the holiday!! Keep the mess off of baby's beautiful Easter outfit by putting an oversized, silicone pocket bib on him/her.

These are also food grade, of course, made of a bacteria-resistant silicone, they are perfect for feeding time. The sizeable pocket at the bottom acts as a great crumb-catcher, which makes clean-up time a whole lot easier than normal. It also means mama will give her baby girl a little snack or two while she's in the crib, because she doesn't have to worry about it making a big mess. The back of the bib is adjustable at the neck, so it will fit baby for a long time to come! The bib measures 8.5" across and 7" long. This bib is also top-rack dishwasher safe.

She is eating a teensy, tiny puff treat that her mom gave her.
Look at how her hair curls when it's wet!! It's straight when it is dry.
I wish I had known about these when my kids were little; but woohoo, I know about them now. My grandchildren benefit from that knowledge, because these bibs are great for keeping the little ones clean while they eat. And again, this is perfect for Easter Day and keeping the dress-up outfits clean as a whistle. Learn more about them or make a purchase on the Bumkins website. You can also order from Amazon.

As a complete aside, and then I'll get back to the Easter Basket items, I wanted to say that visiting on this day (that I took my granddaughter her new bib), I literally sat in my daughter's living room and through the window I could see some of the peacocks I mentioned above through one window, baby goats playing in another, and this big, beautiful Highland Cow (one of several that roams the property). We always get excited when we see them. I didn't even come across any in Scotland (and I wanted to!) and now we get to have them curiously check us out while we sit on my daughter's front or back porch. So cool. My son has pet this one. I have not ventured over yet, I'm more of a visit-from-afar kind of appreciator. ;)

This is the smash cake that the cow ate after the baby was done with her part of it. Silly cow, cake is for kids.
On my granddaughter's first birthday party, which we had a little early for her this year, this particular cow came through the gate that was open and proceeded to eat the leftover smash cake lil' one had just finished destroying. We were cleaning baby up and going back out to get that cake, but nope, we were too late, lolol. And that's what you get if you leave your yard gate open on a farm, lolol!! Now we know to be careful where we hide the eggs on Easter!! :)

4). Foodie Surprise Eggs. For those of you who DO like to add little treats to the Easter Basket (I do for my youngest son), these edible Foodie Surprise eggs are sure to delight and surprise. The edible slime egg has candy mix-ins and the Surprise Yolkies have not only slime that is edible (if you are saying, 'ew!' that's exactly the factor that will appeal to the littles), but also a small collectible to keep on the other side. These are cool because I have NEVER seen anything like them in my life. Perfect for an Easter basket goodie.

Foodie Surprise Candy Slime Egg: Open up the egg to find which edible candy slime and fun mix-ins you received! Each blind purchase comes with flavored slime and candy mix ins. Slime is available in flavors such as Yellow Orange, Pink Cotton, Red Strawberry, Green Apple, Purple Blueberry and Clear Fruitty. Mix-ins include edible glitter, star candy, crunchy candy and more. (Available at Amazon and Walmart, $2.99, Ages 6+)

Foodie Surprise Yolkies: Crack open the egg to find edible, candy slime (mimicking a raw egg; clear slime with a gummy candy yolk). Unscrew the bottom compartment of the egg to find your Yolkie collectible! Each original Yolkie character comes in a food themed costume which is interchangeable with the other Yolkie characters. 12 in total to collect! (Available at Amazon and Target, $4.99, Ages 6+)

5). Poppers. My youngest and my granddaughter both will get a kick out of these Poppers that are a actually squeezable, soft foam shooters. These chunky little cuties will shoot up to 20 ft. when squeezed. They are powerd by air and safe for both indoor and outdoor use. They do come with small pieces though, so they are recommended for ages 4+. You can get them in retail stores or online, including at Amazon. Learn more by visiting the Hog Wild Toys website.

These adorable egg and carrot bombardiers are perfect for your Easter basket.
- Easter Poppers Have Hatched! Two Easter Squeeze Poppers specifically designed for the most delightful and unique Easter baskets! Sold in assortments, these adorable eggbombardiers are dropping the "motherload this Easter season. Each shoots a soft foam ball up to 20 feet and never gets stale like eight-week-old, forgot-I-hid-those-there Easter eggs.

6). Chicco. You can never go wrong with Chicco products if you have a child. One of my grandchildren (I have 3 and another on the way!!) is the perfect age for their insulated rim spout trainer cups and I am so happy to have two to tuck into her Easter Basket!! She can't have treats yet, outside of those made specifically for infants and toddlers, but she is still getting a basket from her gran. In fact, I already gave her a cute little bunny that says "Baby's First Easter" when we were there for this visit. Some things are too hard to resist. I may or may not have given her Easter jammies too (it was her birthday, I have a good excuse). :) She is going to enjoy having her own little cups, I think, and her parents will appreciate having them on the go because these simply won't spill. They're adorable too, with their cute patterns (there are others besides the one I have pictured here), and grooves in the side so they are easy for little hands to hold.

Chicco Insulated Rim Spout Trainer Sippy Cups 12m+ offer training for big kid drinking! The Cups have a narrow edge for rim training and is shaped for proper lip positioning with plenty of room for little noses. The cups are insulated to keep drinks cooler and longer and creates a spill-free drinking. The 1-piece silicone valve is also easy to remove and clean. Chicco offers variety of cups for children of different ages, and to serve various purposes.

Leading innovator in infant soothing and feeding, Chicco aims to revolutionize parenting for the next generation and ensure the safety and comfort of babies by partnering with a group of pediatricians, orthodontists, and ergonomists.

7). Hello Kitty Plush Throw. Speaking of Hello Kitty, which I did twice above, she (the cat) is also on this super plush throw that my son is holding, as is Minnie Mouse (on the other one). These are the super warm, super soft throws from The Northwest that you know are going to keep your child toasty and comfortable while they sleep or lounge. I got one for Christmas one year from my daughter, and my youngest son (said child in the photo above), 'stole it' from me and uses it every single night, despite it having a Christmas pattern on it, and the fact that he has his own comforter set on his bed. I understand. They're just that good.

These would be perfect to tuck into a large Easter Basket too!! If you have followed here long, you know my oldest granddaughter doesn't like sweets (except chocolate ice cream, she likes that quite a bit). ;)  She does however, like to get snuggly warm in a blankie, especially if she's spending the night at grandmama's, which she will be doing here again very soon. I look forward to those times with her, and the simple pleasures like a plush throw and some quality time are what memories are made of over here. You can get these plush blankets at major retailers like Target, Walmart or Amazon. You can also get them on their website.

The Northwest has a lot of different items for sale in addition to these plush blankets. You can shop sports items (NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL, NCAA, etc.), children's items (back packs, pillows, and so much more), etc. It's really a great site to browse through if you're shopping for a gift, or to add a little character to your home, and of course, to stay on topic, to tuck into Easter Baskets! I really like it, and the quality of the items, and I know my grandbabe is going to feel the same about this particular item (her plush throw).

If you have a little who would appreciate the Hello Kitty blanket for an Easter gift (or just because), I have one to give away!! US entrants only.
