I like the Smartmax magnets because they are deliberately designed to be too large to fit down a child's throat. That means there is not the choking hazard that you have with other building kits. I also like that you can mix and match pieces in the dinosaur set, to create typical dinos or those that you have created all on your own. Whose up for a new species?
The SmartMax totem pole set is even cuter to me, I guess because I have always had a thing for them. My 3rd and 5th-grade teacher (I had her for both years) took a vacation to Alaska and brought back pictures. I vividly remember the totem poles. She also had us make a fish stew she had there, and some homemade coleslaw. It was a fun way to help her relive her trip, and for her to celebrate that trip with us. She was my favorite teacher for many a'reason, that kind of activity being just one of them. I still remember many of the things she did, and I promise you, I haven't been in 5th-grade for a very, very long time. :)
We love both of our sets. They are perfect to have in the house for when my grandchildren come over to visit. Santa Clause was nice this year (love that guy!) and got sets for them to have at their homes as well. :) Either of these sets can be found in retail stores everywhere, or they can be purchased online (Amazon links in the post). If you'd like to learn more about SmartMax and all of the great children's toys they offer, you can visit their website. These make the perfect gift items for your kids, or for someone else's. If you like what you see, please tell a friend.
