#1. My daughter likes sloths. In fact, we have tried to arrange for her hold one on a couple of occasions, but for one reason or another, we haven't been able to get it done. We will though, I do not doubt that for a second. Until that time, she has this great journal that is covered in the cute little critters, front and back. The inside holds sheets of paper with lines for writing and nothing else, just the way she likes it. She is very artsy, so she likes to personalize her journals the way she sees fit. This one will make her happy, and that makes me happy too. It is really cute.
Just in time for the holidays, Quiet Fox Designs is releasing an adorable new SLOTH JOURNAL.
The perfect reminder to slow down and reflect, this journal is an excellent way to write all about your day and express yourself through art! With cute and cuddly sloth cover designs and 96 blank pages to fill however you please – from doodling and drawing to writing and journaling – let this be your creative outlet to relax, collect your thoughts, and feel inspired.
#2. For my son's basketball coach (on one of his teams; he is on two, the regular one for school and the travel team), we have this Basketball Trivia 2020 set. It is full of great questions, one for each day of the year. For example, one card says, "Which team selected Scottie Pippen in the 1987 draft?" I know coach and his assistant coach (who are besties in and outside of work) will enjoy going through the questions each day.
is the desktop calendar that shoots—and scores—with day after day of fascinating stats, facts, and history. Discover Immortal Records: What was the point total in the highest scoring game in NBA history, a 1983 contest between the Nuggets and Pistons? Draft History: Did you know that 1996’s epic NBA draft included 10 future All-Stars, including Kobe Bryant? Plus, Dubious Distinctions, Hoops History, and quotes: “There are really only two plays: , and put the darn ball in the basket.”—College coach Abe Lemons
3). My youngest child's history teacher went to Paris over the summer (among other places). One of my most favorite of her pictures, she had made into a magnet for me (and I LOVE it). At that time, we gave her a gallery calendar from Workman Publishing (they have the 2020 calendar available now) that features Paris.
The gorgeous colors and scenes are going to be a great reminder for her, of the wonderful time she had traveling the world's City of Lights. I wonder if she will use it at home, or in her classroom? That remains to be seen. :)
#3. For one of my childrens' uncles, this calendar of Italy (speaking of travel calendars) is going under the Christmas Tree. This is a country that holds a special place in his heart, and the oversized pictures will be a very welcome addition in his home. 365 Days in Italy
It's gorgeous. I don't have a calendar for 2020 and I love it so much, I almost want to keep it. Italy is one of my most favorite places in the world to visit. 'Tis the season, however, and I do love Uncie so, so...the calendar goes to him. :)
Celebrate the most returned-to destination in the world. In hundreds of stunning, full-color photographs, this bestselling calendar puts Italy’s irresistible Mediterranean charms on full display, month after month. Who want to spend a year zipping around on a Vespa through Rome, or strolling through the rolling pastures of Umbria? How about savoring fresh burrata, admiring the ornate piazza fountains, or enjoying a wine tasting in a Tuscan vineyard? Written by travel expert Patricia Schultz, author of the #1 bestselling , immerses Italophiles in the spirit of the country with evocative photographs and eloquent text.
#4. For another of my kiddos' uncles, this muscle car calendar will be wrapped up and have his name on it. There is not a conversation you can have with him that does not turn to cars. It makes me laugh, and I know it will be a welcome present for him. One thing I remember is that even before he had his first driveable car (a Camaro that his dad bought him, that looked and ran great) he bought a navy blue Javelin that had to be fixed up before it would drive, and before HE could drive (he had an eye for muscle cars even before he had a license). American Muscle Cars 2020 will be a great calendar for him to have to bring in the new year.
#5. 100 Ways to be Thankful! I think a kids' book should be on this list (and look at that gorgeous platter I found on sale at Home Goods!! It is perfect for Thanksgiving and I love it so!!). The book is perfect for introducing children to the gift of gratitude at a very young age, and what better time than when the holidays are fast approaching. Thanksgiving will be here any day now, and then Christmas is directly around the corner...all holidays where gratefulness and kindness should be shared and given freely.
#6. GuruNanda Oil Diffuser and Essential Oils
I have used quite a few oil diffusers in my life, and this one has, and continues to be my favorite. The Gurunanda Honeycome Ultrasonic Essential Oil Diffuser changes colors while it's working, and those honeycombs display the color wonderfully well. It's like Christmas all year to have those lights running and the oils smell great too. Every item on this list is the perfect fit for someone I know and love, but this is my most entire, 100% favorite holiday gift item included in the holiday gift guide this year. This diffuser makes me happy. 😍
Here is what you or your lucky gift recipient will get. The cord, the base, the top and the instruction manual. It is super simply to use. Pour water to the fill line, add the amount of drops you want (always best to start light, you can add more if you'd like, but you can't take any away) and push the button. That's it! It turns off by itself if it runs out of water, which is a feature I love. You can also put it on a timer.
The GuruNanda essential oils I have chosen to gift with this diffuser (and you can buy it prepackaged as a gift set (GuruNanda Aroma Therapy Starter Kit), is the Aromatherapy Starter Kit. It comes with (6) bottles of essential oil, all designed with a certain area of the body in mind. If you are focused on immunity, for example, you could run the one for that... My daughter and her little family just got their own first little home and this is a gift she will have in her stocking this year (and she will run these oils in her honeycomb diffuser that she has had for over a year, and still uses). It makes a nice little housewarming present, as well as a holiday gift. A fact sheet is included to explain the oils with you. The box is magnetic which is super smart because that means the lid stays in place when the box is closed. It is sectioned off to hold your bottles too, making it the perfect storage place for them.
I highly recommend GuruNanda for essential oils. We have been purchasing them for years, and I still love them. This Whole Body Essential Oils Set (there are many other types available too, including individual bottles) is available on the website, online (including Amazon) and in stores nationwide.
#7. This Lotus Trolley Bag is for my daughter-in-law. She is a HUGE fan of responsible everything, including shopping. You won't find her using plastic shopping bags; she always takes along her own. Now she will have this system, and truly it is a system, that will help her be the best shopper she can be. I think it's wonderful that she's considerate of our planet. If more people were, the world would literally be a better place.
Hassle-Free & Easy Cleaning: Fans say our Lotus produce bags make eating healthy just a bit easier; Our frustration-free drawstrings stop produce from spilling or rolling under seats, and yet open with a pinch (even for hands with arthritis), and our stretch-free netted produce bags are machine washable, air drying, to rinse away food smells and stains that stick to cotton bags
One Small Bag... Endless Possibilities
# 9. And while I'm talking about bags...these Snack Bags by Bumkin have a Toy Story theme and are perfect for the latest little addition to our family (although an even newer one is coming soon), my daughter's daughter. She is eating snacks now, and loving them too. She needs her own little reusable bags to put them in, so she never has to be without when they are on the go (if you are a parent, you know a well-timed snack can save the world). :)
These are available on the Bumkins website, online (including Amazon) and in select stores nationwide.
10. Colonel Popper. I saved this one for last because I am also giving one away. So many people have switched to microwave popcorn, but you hear reports all the time that those little bags are not so great for you. Why not gift something that the popcorn lovers on your holiday gift buying list can use all year long? This Colonel Popper makes fresh, fully popped kernels quickly, with no oil whatsoever. It is made with 100% pure food-grade silicone and it is BPA-free. In addition to that, it collapses for storage and you can put it in the dishwasher. Hello Colonel Popper, I am in love! Learn more about this nifty little item by visiting the website. You can also purchase it in stores nationwide.
