Keeping Your Home Comfortable in the Summer

Summer is often one of the most anticipated seasons of the year. After cooler winter months, summer brings sun, warmth, and a renewed energy for spending time outdoors. However, summer can also bring uncomfortably hot temperatures and humidity and having a well-running air conditioning system is an essential part of keeping you comfortable in the summer. Here are three ways you should consider utilizing the expert services of a reputable HVAC company, like Sunair Company, before the dog days of summer are underway.

Central Air-Conditioner Installation

If you have been thinking about installing a central air conditioning system in your home, it is important to find a reputable HVAC company to help you purchase the correct size unit for your home. If your current system is older, it may be time to consider a replacement unit. A newer, more efficient air conditioner can often pay for its initial cost quickly by saving you every single month in energy bills. There are many different brands, models, and features of central air conditioning systems so make sure you do your research and seek the input from an experienced professional. A central air conditioning system is a major investment but its ability to keep you and your family cool and comfortable throughout the entire house is well worth it.

Central Air Conditioner Tune-up

Just like a car needs regular maintenance and tune-ups, a central air conditioning system is no different. Depending on the climate you live in, a yearly or even twice yearly tune-up is an excellent idea to proactively identify any wear and tear on your system and maximize its efficiency. You will save money in the long-run as well because a poorly running or maintained system will also need to be replaced at more frequent intervals at a much greater cost to you.

De-Humidification of Your Home

Many people live in climates where humidity brings an increase of moisture into homes which can greatly affect people’s health and comfort in their homes. When you decrease the humidity levels in your home, your home will feel cooler even at higher air temperatures. This will save you a considerable amount by allowing you to set your thermostat higher. Consider having a reputable HVAC company evaluate and recommend the perfect de-humidifier for your whole house or specific rooms that tend to get more moisture like basements. Reducing and keeping humidity levels at a comfortable level will also keep your home more resistant to mold or mildew which can affect your overall health.

  10. We live on the California Central Coast and don't have an air conditioner. There are a few weeks during the summer that are yucky and an air conditioner would be amazing! Looks like a great brand.
