Desert Essence Body Oil and Body Scrub Decadence

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post. All opinions stated are genuine and my own.

Honestly, I wasn't much of a person to pamper myself for most of my life. I'm a minimalist with jewelry, wearing only earrings once in a blue moon, I don't wear foundation or any kind of makeup that takes too long to get on my face, and outside of a bit of perfume every now and again, it really just didn't weigh on my mind too much to exfoliate, moisturize, etc. Lately though, that has been changing and I am really enjoying trying new make-ups, fragrances, and beauty products to help make my skin soft and luxurious to the touch. My latest discovery? Desert Essence Body Oil and Body Scrub.

The body oil has Jojoba & Sweet Almond. It's easy enough to use, you simply spritz it on with the (non-clogging) pump spray after you shower, and it does the rest. It is a moisturizing after-shower finishing spray, and honestly, the first time I've ever used this type of product. For me, almond was a big sell because it has such a pleasant scent. This product is a body oil, so it is well, oily (of course). It does soak in rather quickly though, and it hasn't stained my clothes. It's just a little bit of morning luxury I have been using, that gives me an instant perk to the way I start my day. If you shower or take a bath at night, I bet it would be nice to use just before going to bed too. Certainly the subtle scent would be pleasant to smell while you were falling asleep.

The detoxifying sea salt scrub forms a nice, creamy lather with just a little bit of foaming. My face feels pretty intensely clean after I use it, which is nice in this summer heat. It's refreshing to use and I'm really pleased with it so far. It does exfoliate, so I am only using it a couple of times a week, but honestly, I couldn't be happier with it. I like my face to feel very clean.

If you haven't tried the Desert Essence line yet, I recommend that you do. These are only two of many products that they offer. I'm just discussing them here because these particular ones are new, I tried them, and I love them!

  1. I wear a wedding band. My hair is its natural color and I don't wear makeup. I will however use products to keep my skin moisturized. I'm in.

Have a fabulous day, my friend. ♥

  16. I love body and hand scrubs. My only trouble is that Isaak loves to use mine. I'll go to use it, and it's like 1/2 gone. LOL I started making him make his own with me at his side.

  17. I've really toned down my beauty routine this past year. Minimal is key for me. I'm sharing Alissa's frustration though. Jason has a newfound love of my Tree Hut Sugar Scrubs and has been using them quicker than I like.
