Do you have a dad who likes to tinker? If so, this Electric Motors Catalyst from Tinkering Labs may be just the thing to gift him this year! It's meant for those ages 8+ so the kids love it too. Best way to use it? Dad and the kids tinkering together, of course!
There are many things to love about this box, but most certainly I love that not only is there a booklet included, but they have also listed the contents of what is inside, in print, on the inside of the box. Very smart.
The mystery, however, lies in what you can build with the contents that are included in the bag that is inside of the box.
It comes with items like safety glasses, a mini power source, nuts, bolts, wires, a screwdriver, batteries, wooden gears, large sheets of white paper, markers and more!
There is also a contact number included in the box, if you have any questions for the manufacturer. That is something I love, because I hate not having a way to get in touch with someone in regards to a product I have purchased or received, when I can't find an answer online!
There are several things I love about this gift, but the one that makes me happiest is that it's a great way to get dad involved in a project with (or without) the kids that is atypical of a normal day. Sometimes traditional gifts are the awesome way to go, and sometimes those a little outside of the norm, are the way to go. Personally, I love both!
