Romantic Date Ideas To Try This Summer

The heat of the summer often turns up the heat in your relationships. If you find yourself wanting to show more love and appreciation for your partner this summer, consider taking him or her on a romantic date. From spending time outdoors to relaxing in luxury, the options are practically endless. You might even consider putting your own spin on a traditional idea to make it more unique to your specific relationship.

Spend the Day Outdoors

If you and your partner love the outdoors, why not turn it into a day-long adventure? Start with an early morning (or early afternoon, if you aren't the early bird type) hike through your favorite local hiking trails, stopping to take pictures of the unique things you discover along the way. A backpack full of easy-to-eat food works for lunch. In the evening, you can have a romantic picnic dinner (think wines, cheeses, and fruit) by the lake or go all out by reserving a spot at a fancy restaurant that overlooks the water. If you're in the right area, you might even consider an evening on a riverboat. You'll end the evening feeling more in tune with nature and with each other.

Head to a Luxury Spa

Who doesn't want to feel like they live in the lap of luxury from time to time? If your partner deserves some pampering, book a couples' day at your local spa. You can spend the afternoon getting a variety of massages, soothing your skin with facials and mud baths, relaxing in a sauna or hot tub, and more. Some spas even provide salons, so you can get a haircut, manicure and pedicure, or more. After a long and luxurious spa day, you can each put on your favorite outfits and head out for a romantic dinner, drinks, and dancing at the hottest spots in town.

Make a Weekend of It

Maybe it's your anniversary or your partner's birthday. Maybe it's just a weekend you want to make extra-special for your loved one. Why not make a weekend of your romantic date by booking Beavers Bend couples cabins? A cabin is an excellent way to get in touch with nature and feel like you're doing something luxurious at the same time. The seclusion of a cabin makes for the perfect space to have a glass of wine while gazing at the stars, hike through gorgeous forests, or simply cook a meal together and relax by the fireplace.

There are never too many ways to show someone you love him or her. Whether you're spending a leisurely afternoon or going all out for the weekend, a special date is the perfect way to spend quality time together.

  6. I want to be outdoors. Lately here in Omaha, it's been so windy. Not too ideal for someone like me that has a lot of allergies. Not big on windy when it's pollen season.

  10. Jason and I try to find outdoor activities as much as possible. We'll kayak, ride bikes, find a local outdoor concert, or even just go sit on the beach for a little while. As long as we have fresh air, we're good with pretty much anything outdoors for date night.
