We all spent the night at my oldest son's house last weekend. There was no special occasion, we were just spending time together. The only person missing (and I missed her so!) was my grandbaby who was with other family members in Orlando having the time of her life! Living in South Florida, it doesn't get very cold, I have to very gladly admit, but come Sunday morning when we woke up, most of us, you'll notice my oldest son is in shorts, were freezing. I'm telling you, with the patio door deliberately left open (he lives higher up than even we do) it felt cooler than air conditioning. His ceilings are 21-ft. or something ridiculously high (and gorgeous) so my first thought was 'heater bill!" but he did graciously turn on the heat. :)
Prior to that, my 2nd oldest had on a sweater, I had recently been wrapped up in that blanket you see behind my daughter's head (I tossed it down to go to the kitchen but was coming back to get in it since I wasn't smart enough to wear long sleeves) and my youngest (not in the picture because he's enjoying his brother's PS4 just out of lens range) had a sweatshirt to wear too. My daughter is all snuggled up in her guy's clothing because she's not only keeping herself warm, she's keeping her little one in her tummy warm too. 58 days to go!! When it's not naturally chilly though, my daughter likes to have air conditioning running. so while we're shopping for her little sweet baby, we're also thinking of that little fact, and being sure to include some long-sleeved items. Not many are as cute as the organic cotton onesie kimono we recently got for her from Silkberry Baby!
There are many things I love about this onesie, but the biggest one is that the baby will be born at the end of March, and this sweet little beauty will be a perfect fit come Easter, and with that adorable little bunny on the front, it's the perfect way for baby Nadrie (a combination of her mom and dad's middle names) to celebrate. The kimono style wrap in the front makes dressing baby a breeze.
You can see the snaps are covered on the bottom by a little flap, giving it an extra little touch of class, and being made of organic cotton, it's also seriously super soft.
The blend out of the color that extends the drawing lines of the bunny is particularly attractive to me. It lends a softness to the onesie that is just perfect for putting on baby.
In addition to their gorgeous organic cotton items, Silkberry Baby also has quite a few selections made from bamboo!! Anyone who has used bamboo (My youngest still uses his oversized bamboo blanket. It's one of his favorites, and he is now 11!) knows how amazing it is...the more you wash it (and it's soft to begin with!) the softer it seems to get.
There were so many selections in their catalog that we loved, for babies and children. I can totally see my 5-year-old granddaughter rocking some of these!
