I've been a fan of Educational Insights for awhile. Every item we have purchased from them has lasted and lasted, and many have been passed on to the next generation of littles that have come into our family. Some we keep and cannot bear to part with (like the talking globe that we have had for over a year and still use all of the time). That's why when it came time to shop for my nephew, I knew they were the perfect place to go, and they did not disappoint with this high quality GeoSafari Jr. Explorer Scope for children ages 3-6.
It's nice and chunky which makes it easy for little hands to hold, and it's very sturdy too, so if they drop it, it's not going to be the end of the world. The handles on each side are nice and large as well, and help your little one to be able to hold on tightly.
I wanted to flip it around too, so you could see how deep the well is where your child's face/eyes will go. My nephew wears glasses, so it's usually a challenge to use these kinds of things accurately, but with the Geo Explorer Jr., he will be able to look through here just fine! I suspect it won't even matter one ounce (in terms of his comfort and the functionality of this toy) that he has glasses on his face. What I love about it is that my nephew is an explorer at heart, but he's not quite big enough to use the more sophisticated equipment. This combo microscope/telescope will allow him to create his own adventures, without any technical complications whatsoever.
Up close and far away, bring nature your way with the world’s only 2-in-1 microscope/telescope!
Cut to the Chase
I love this item, and love it even more that it's the ONLY microscope and telescope combo out there for kids. I wish I'd have known about this toy when my son was little, I know he would have loved it too! Learn more by visiting the Educational Insights web page. You can also buy these in retail stores and online.
