Ravensburger has all of these great jigsaw puzzles to choose from, and we have (2) of them in our house right now. I used to sit and put puzzles together with my grandmother when I was a kid, and I loved it, but outside of the preschool puzzles, this for some reason isn't really something I've done with my kids much, until now. The only question I have for myself is: Why did I wait so long? We're having so much fun putting these together.
The first thing we had to do is choose which of the two we wanted to put together. One looked harder than the other, so we started with the one that would be easier, so we could get a groove going before tackling that one I knew would pose a challenge (now that we're moving along, we're ready for that one too!). Plus, this one has a lot of fun Disney characters on it, so how could we resist?
I taught my son how to separate the border pieces from the other ones and we got to work on putting it together.
As we were going through the pieces, my son was so excited to see things he recognized. A dog's face, an Incredibles character, Buzz Lightyear...so even the sorting was enjoyable for us.
You can see little man uses one hand for the puzzle, and the other for his cat who follows him everywhere he goes. The bond between these 2 is fun to watch. They're a bit ridiculous and I'm loving every single second of it.
Turns out my son loves puzzles as much as I do. I'm glad we started one. This is a picture when we started. We are about 1/4 of the way done now; we come in and do a little bit of it every day when we get home from work/school. It's relaxing and a nice way to spend some time together...plus it's going to be so satisfying to put that last puzzle piece in when we're finishing, so we can sit back and admire our hard work.
Ravensburger has a ton of wonderful puzzles (traditional, 3D and more!), and their quality is always top of the line, so if you're picking up a puzzle (or ten) for holiday gift giving, be sure to look for the brand. You can find them in retail stores everywhere, online (including Amazon) and on the Ravensburger website.
