5 Tips to Start your Day Off Right

If you take a look at the trends on YouTube, you'll see that many content creators are sharing their morning routines. A morning routine is helpful for anyone who'd like to create a sense of stability and calmness in their life. If you struggle with a lot of stress, anxiety and mental angst, it's a good idea to create the perfect morning routine. If you start the day well, you have a better chance of ending the day well. Start on the right foot by implementing the following tips.

1. Drink hot lemon water.

Most people don't get adequate amounts of water in their systems on a daily basis. Start the day by reaching for a glass of water in the morning. To up the ante, it's a good idea to start with a hot cup of lemon water. If you tend to have any gas or digestive issues, a hot cup of water will help to get everything moving. Lemons are very detoxifying for the system and they will help to energize your body as well. Instead of reaching for a hot cup of coffee, start with hot water first. This will help you get at least one cup of water in your system for the day.

2. Get moving.

While many people like to focus on the benefits of exercise when it pertains to weight loss, exercise can do so much more. When a person is dealing with anxiety or stress, exercise can help regulate any mental health issues. Start by stretching and relaxing the muscles. As you stretch and release the tension in your joints, inhale and exhale deeply. Also, try to complete some sort of cardiovascular exercise in the morning. Whether it's a cycling class, a jog in the neighborhood or a brisk walk, it's good to get the heart pumping. It'll help you feel energized to start the day and it'll help bring a sense of mental clarity.

3. Express gratitude.

The reason why many people are unhappy is that they refuse to practice gratitude. If you're grateful for what you have, it opens you up to receive more. If you constantly focus on what you don't have, you'll naturally attract more of what you don't want. Start by keeping a gratitude journal by your bed. In the morning, write down five things that you're grateful for that happened the day before. You can also continue this practice at night. No matter what, you'll find that you have five things to be grateful for. When all else fails, remember that the ability to breathe in and out is something to be grateful for. Not everyone can do that on their own. If you've ever been on a ventilator before, you understand how much of a treasure breathe is. It means you have life and another opportunity to become a better person.

4. Consume a healthy breakfast.

The right foods can set the tone for your day. If you fill yourself up with junk food in the morning, you'll weigh your body down. Be intentional about consuming healthy fruits and vegetables in the morning. Consume protein that will fuel your body. Also, take a multivitamin or supplements. If you need a boost of energy, take a multivitamin that has a lot of vitamin B12 in it. Health365 sells vitamins online.

5. Read something encouraging.

Not only should you become intentional about what you consume in terms of food, you need to be intentional about consuming the right messages. If you wake up in the morning and turn straight to social media, you don't get a chance to reset your mind and build yourself up. Avoid the temptation to start the day by reading emails. This gives other people the power to control your day. Take control by reading something positive. You might want to read a self-help book or devotional book. You might want to listen to an inspiring message by a motivational speaker. Find one way to build your mindset up every single morning. Mindset development is essential for a positive life. If you have a strong mind, you can make it through anything. However, you have to make it a practice that you indulge in on a daily basis.

Sure can't eat crap and be a debbie downer if you want to start the day off right. Best to ignore the so-called "news" too. And move away to start your day.

I agree with all of these. I've not done the lemon water, but a bottle of water is the first thing I drink even before my coffee.

Have a fabulous day. ♥

I try to start my day off with a tasty green smoothie. It gets me going. I also like the idea of expressing gratitude in the morning to start your day off in the right mindset.

These are all good ways to start off in the morning. Now if I could just get Isaak and Travis to eat a little faster. That would make things smoother. ;)

I've wanted to try the hot lemon water in the morning but I'm a coffee person. Maybe I drink it before my coffee.
